The cash-only policy when registering should have been our first warning, but we had been traveling across the country for four days and needed some rest. Conveniently, there was a cash station at the registration desk, with a $2 fee to take out cash. We parked our small camper in a nice secluded wooded spot far away from the crowded area nearer to the office, pool, and the rest of the facilities. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. We were not told about the bar close by which began playing loud music that lasted into the wee hours. About 1:30am, two cars drove past our camp site. The second car stopped in front of the camping spot across from ours and blew it's horn apparently to alert the other car that they had found the spot. There were at least eight adults and some kids in the group. They were setting up their tents and carrying on conversations as if it were the middle of the afternoon. I don't understand why they were allowed into the park to set up their tents at that time of the night. Knowing that a decent night's sleep was going to be impossible (the music from the bar was still blaring), we packed up and drove the final three hours home. Now I understand why the campground takes your cash up front. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Truck Camper.

I camp here at least once a year. I have made friends at this campground; the bar and restaurant are very good the staff is friendly. Campsites are decent sized. No TV reception, if that is important to you. It's mostly seasonals but they treat you nicely. They used to have a boat you could take rides on, but this year was told no more. Too bad that was a nice deal, but the campground is still good and you're not in the hustle and bustle of the Dells which is a short drive away. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Dells is the main gig here. It's about ten minutes away but there are flea markets, Amish bakeries, casinos, all within an hour of this place. Some cool bars (the garage bar) is a cool dive bar.

It's a seasonal camp rather than an RV PARK. Most of the rigs are worn out park models. Everyone has a golf cart and even though it's posted MUST BE 16 TO DRIVE CART, many children were driving them. Carts ran most of the day haphazardly through the park. Tight fit if over 38 foot length. Trees not pruned well. Regarding BEING ON THE RIVER, yes the boat Dock is on the river and that's about it. I will not stay here again nor recommend the park. While the staff is friendly, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at times. And finally, the park fills up on the weekends with partiers that go well into the night. Big disappointment! We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

The space was extremely small with trees on both sides. When we tried to leave, the road was so small and cars and golf carts were parked on both sides, along with trees on both sides, that we scratched up the driver's side of the coach. I had to get out of the coach to direct my husband so he didn't hit anything. We were just inches away. These were permanent sites and no one was home to move cars. They were installing a park model so we could not turn to the right where the road might have been slightly wider. My suggestion is do not go with a big Motorhome. The park needs to remove or severely cut back the trees on the corners and sides ofthe roads. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

This place is almost entirely seasonal campers, with the regulars zipping around on golf carts, beer cans in hand, and us "outsiders" crammed in a dusty row and forced to wear wristbands to identify ourselves. And even though River Bay is miles from the off ramp, it's still very near the interstate so there's a lot of highway noise. For us, it was a disappointment and we got a refund for the second night and left early. They were nice about that. There were a lot of seasonal campers, so the park must be doing something right. But for us full-time RVers, it didn't work. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

We rented a buddy site that was to provide space for two families at $44/night each; a total of $88/night for the site. The space was entirely too small. With one 32' motorhome, a tent and two vehicles we could barely walk around. Branches were not cut back so we had had to do our own cutting or risk scraping our motorhome. The sites were on top of each other and the entire campground was packed. Lots of young adults, loud radios, horns honking and a raceway close enough that you got to hear the stock car races as if you were there. Additionally, there were young teens racing around on golf carts making the roads treacherous. Lastly, there was karaoke every night at the Tiki bar. Quiet hours are supposed to be at 11:00pm, however they played late every night. In fact, on our last night, a staff member came around to "ask" us if it was OK if they continued until 2:00am, breaking their own quiet hour rule. When we communicated that we had small children and that they would have a hard time sleeping he said, "Well, just come over if it's too loud." It was entirely obvious he didn't really care and wasn't really asking, but rather informing us of his decision to bend the camp rules to benefit him. It was so noisy that we could not talk to each other around the campfire without seriously raising our voices. The campground is mainly seasonal and year round residents. Lots of trailers with built on sun rooms and decks. Pool was clean, showers were marginally clean. Customer service was adequate. They did show us to our site. There is a nice park for the kids. We will not stay here again. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

This park was awful. It's not big rig friendly. Park staff had to come out and cut tree limbs so that we could get out. No TV reception and no cable TV. Tents were parked on top of each other. People walked freely through our campsite. The only good thing was the sunset cruise on Saturday. It lasted well over three hours for a cost of $15.00. We would not come here again. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for the past 3 years. They have 50 amp, big rig sites and are set up for large units. We have a 40' rig and tow a jeep and these sites are great. They are nice and level and easy to get in and out of. We love the heated pool and the clean, clean bathrooms and showers. They even have a family assist room for the handicapped. My father was with us in a wheelchair and the family assist room worked out great for him. One of the highlights of our trip was the scenic sunset cruise on "The Princess Kay" paddlewheel riverboat. We were very surprised to find a beautiful boat like that in Wisconsin. The scenery on the river was breathtaking. They had live music, food and drinks on the cruise. We have taken the trip 3 times! We also enjoy "Bayside Bar & Grill" located right at the campground. The food is excellent and the people are very friendly. The staff go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome and have a great stay. We will continue going to River Bay every year. Each year our group gets larger and they take excellent care of our needs. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

This campground has very few sites for travelers. It is primarily a seasonal park and is not convenient to anything. The ownership claimed to have wi-fi, but it did not work. We talked to people in the office, who said they had trouble with the wi-fi and that it rarely worked. No television of any kind. Honey wagon for much of the park and there was a constant sewer smell. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our trip from the east coast to Alaska in our 42' motorhome. We were assured that they had a site for us. The first site was one of the new back-in sites. Impossible to maneuver because it was not at an angle and a small tree was planted close to the gravel on one side and a sign post close to the gravel on the other. Directly across the small roadway is another site - okay to use to back-in if no one is there. But if someone is - forget it. Trailer Life may say that they have big rig sites - trust me, they have very few. Those that they do have, "have been reserved for a year". If you have a big rig and want to stay here, make sure they give you a pull-thru. Having said that - they apparently moved some people around so that we could have a pull-through. We were here over the Memorial Day weekend. It was a nightmare. I think we may have crashed someone's party - the music was blaring ALL DAY long. So much so that we either had to leave or keep all of our windows closed. Not our idea of enjoying our vacation. There were children everywhere, some as young as 8 and 9 driving golf carts all over the place. There were a group of campers across from us that literally did not shut up until after 1 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday night. The music stopped at 11pm, but they continued drinking, yelling and feeding a HUGE bonfire until well after midnight. Again forcing us to completely close up the motorhome. We arent old, fuddy-duddies, but if we're going to pay $44 a night for the "privelege of staying on their private property" (taken from their "rules page"), we would have appreciated someone from the campground making sure that EVERYONE in their campground was given the opportunity to enjoy themselves. What a nightmare and what a long weekend this turned out to be. It is a family campground and I'm sure it was a blast for those families that participated in this 3-day party. But it was inconsiderate and rude of the campground owners to let it go on the way it did. Of course, I'm sure these people are regular campers here, as are most of those that were here this weekend, but we will not be back, nor will we recommend it to anyone we know traveling through this area. Dont take your big rig in. There were so many people here, that we felt safer staying in place until Tuesday when everyone left, rather than taking the chance of trying to get our rig out of here through the children, the golf carts, the other rigs and all the tow vehicles. We were here in a 42' motothome with 4 slides. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.
