We where supposed to have arrived on a Thursday for our reservations, however do to a break down our arrival was not until late Friday evening. The state park office staff was friendly and very understanding. There is only 1 dump station and water station. We found our site quickly and got set up for the evening. Very quiet location. No local TV channels to be found. The trees where covered with leaves so no satellite either. Communicate worked via Verizon only. If you want solitude, and alone time this would work. We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It is hard to understand that the sites with electric had nasty, smelly, pit toilets and the showers were half a mile away. The sites were OK but you has to pay $10 for your car, $10 for electricity and $25 for camping. We have stayed in much nicer private campgrounds for less and got clean restrooms and showers near the sites. We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Truck Camper.

This is a beautiful State Park in a wooded setting. This campground has several hiking trails that include a few waterfalls. Our site was shaded and had a fire ring and table with generous space. There are nice showers and toilets with running water as well as pit toilets available. We sighted several deer and other wildlife in the park, including a bear! We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in site 005 which had 30A electric in our 41-foot Class A for a week. We were able to walk down to the Bad River, a shallow, wide stream, from the back of site 005. But it was a good 1/2-mile through the woods. Nevertheless, on one walk to the river, I saw a doe and her fawn wading in the river. Though the shower building was about a 1/2-mile from our site, there were several showers and stalls and was kept very clean. However, the high point of this park are the falls along the Bad River. One word: spectacular! We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

This was our fist visit to Copper Falls. It is a very relaxing and quiet place to camp. The sound of the falls and the stream gives you a great night's sleep! We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Expensive for out-of-state (site + permit) but lovely and great hiking! Absolutely make time to hike past the Copper Falls, Cascades, Brownstone Falls, and Devil's Gate. Yummy ice cream at the concession stand. We camped in the North Camp Area - serviced only by vault toilets and no showers. The South Camp Area is too small for a motorhome (according to the ranger - we did not go down there) but they have showers there. Sites 29 through 16 are especially nice for larger rigs. Most sites are electric. We camped at Copper Falls State Park in a Motorhome.
