We have given this CG a try twice. Disappointed both times. This is a seasonal campground. Travelers are thrown into a flood plain zone. Upon arrival you pass through all the seasonal sites, everything looks promising. After check-in you are escorted to your site by golf cart down the narrow roads. VERY difficult to maneuver with RV passing another vehicle. Some low level sites are gravel, over grown with grass. All sites are 50amp, so you need an adapter if you run 30amp. This isn't told to you at check in. Free adaptor rental with deposit is available. The sites are large. But, there are MANY dead ash trees waiting to damage your RV. The amenities are all nice. The store has a great selection, heated pool, food trailer, beach tiki bar, etc. Throughout your stay you can expect to be passed by many seasonals on golf carts blasting music. When leaving, if you can get out of the mud, the line for the dump is terrible. I recommend paying the $5 at a Flying J. With one dump, in front of the main office/store, it is a traffic nightmare. Trailers lined up down the street, golf carts all over, cars parking, all makes getting to the dump a hassle. We camped at Lakeland Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here. Should of just stayed home. They advertise that they have 3 fishing ponds, in reality they are 3 stagnet holes for breeding mosquitoes. The pool they advertise is broken and appeared to be broken for a long time (another mosquito breeding area). They have a lot of security guards who treat all their guest like criminals and you are pretty much have to remain at your own campsite to avoid being detained and questioned. The security also has very fast golf carts that they race around from one place to another. The showers are inoperable and the store is empty with the exception of some very pricy donuts that were clearly bought at the local Walmart. With all that is bad I made a few suggestions to the general manager and was threatened with being thrown out. We camped at Lakeland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in a good location and easy to find. It is located on a lake. You are able to put your boat into the water on property. We were in a gravel uneven spot that just fit our 40ft rig. We had 30 amp, water and sewer hook up. The spots are very close together not leaving a lot of room between spots as well as the cabins that are right across the way. They have to park behind your camper as there is no room. This park is without a doubt for full time seasonal people. They only have a few general camping spots available. One thing about his park is that there is a lot of traffic from cars and golf carts. The golf carts don't seem to stop for people walking and neither do the cars they own they park. Speed limit is 10mph. I never say any security enforcing anything. It was just crazy with all the golf carts that my children almost got run over on numerous occasions trying to get to the pool, the general store and the playground. I didn't feel safe letting them cross the road for fear of being run down. Bathrooms and showers leave something to be desired. A lot of noise at night with golf carts and people partying, screaming and loud music. More then likely we won't be going back. We camped at Lakeland Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
