We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The sites were so small we could barely get our camper into the site. Sites are so close to each other we felt like we were sharing them with the campers next to us. The campground itself was large with many permanent sites. Too many of the permanent sites were rundown and dirty looking. Playground was in dire need of upgrading as well as the bathroom and showers. The fire ring was so close to the camper we were unable to use it. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was actually our first experience that we wish we would have paid better attention to the negative reviews. I do want to point out that we didn't have any negative experiences with any of the staff, but the property itself was the problem for us.

The sites are very close together. This is the closest we've been to our neighbors in any campsite. Not only that, but with our trailer and truck parked perpendicular to each other, the entire driver's side of my truck was sticking into the road. I understand this was because I have a 34' trailer, but the staff stated they would have no problem accommodating the space I needed. The layout was easy to understand, but the roads were very narrow, and there were decorations on the corners that made turning a little rough. Backing in wasn't easy due to this either, and since everything is dirt/gravel, I'm only happy it wasn't wet. The site wasn't level, and I'm told we had the most level site on the property. The sites didn't appear to be kept up by the owners, I'm confident we left the site much cleaner than we arrived.

There wasn't really much to do in the area either. We did allow our little one to play on the wooden train (which was pretty nice/neat), and there was a little playground. They do offer a boat rental, but don't mention that the damage deposit must be in cash, with no close access to an ATM. Not to mention, they explained that they don't do their walk around until you bring the boat back, which seems a little shady.

We did have to use the laundry facilities, which worked fine, but they smelled terrible. Probably because they were next to the shower rooms and the dump station, but they smelled bad! Fortunately, our clothes did get clean.

I don't really have anything great to say about this property. The people were not rude to me, but due to the spacing and lack of activities, we will not be staying here again. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Never again. We stayed one night in a pull-through site that was very unlevel. We took a walk through the campground and saw that almost all of the sites are unlevel. There are a lot of seasonal people here, which is not a problem for us. They come for the fishing. The lake is beautiful. Actually this wouldn't be a bad campground except for the fact that if you put your levelers down and don't use boards, the wheels of your motorhome are off the ground. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice campground on the lake. Easy access for boaters. The swimming beach isn't much of one. They do tend to nickel and dime you. If you want to use the boat landing you pay extra. You also pay extra to dock your boat. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.

This park has a lot of seasonal or permanent residents but their sites were for the most part, clean and neat. We were in an area away from that and it would have been crowded had anyone else been there. We were there one night during the week and only one other camper was in that area. The highway is a bit close and busy but really not bothersome to us. They are on a lake and have a dock. A lot of the sites in our area were not level but the management let us move to a more level site. We did not use the bath house. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were reluctant to stay here because of the number of poor reviews, but had stayed here over a decade ago and decided to try it again. We were pleasantly surprised and found it to be a pleasant 2-night stay. The camp host was very friendly at check-in, and we did not need/have any other interactions with campground staff. The laundry seemed adequate but a couple machines were out of order. Sites and roads are gravel and are typically spaced based on our camping experience, although you can be rather close end-to-end if someone is in the space behind you. There are lots of trails in the woods, and there is a swimming area at the lake. Wifi was somewhat lacking, but was adequate for checking email; it was a bit slow for doing much surfing. The 6 mph speed limit is closely enforced, so obey it or expect to be reminded to hold down your speed (I have no problem with that--there are lots of children and bikes in the campground). The rate is higher than we would like for the type of stay we had; however, it seems pretty reasonable considering the nice lake access. Overall we were happy with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Access roads were rocky and steep. Many sites are extremely unlevel. Dump station was blocked by a sewage removal truck an entire day. Lots of shady sites. One large group circled their rigs into a compound-like arrangement and partied until past 1 AM for two straight nights. This park needs some TLC. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground needs a lot of work. It doesn't look like anyone has spent any effort on it's upkeep. The lots are dirt and the little grass that is there hasn't been cut all season. The site they put us on only had 30 amps even though we requested 50. They do not have cable but we were able to pickup a few over the air channels. The sites are back-in and a bit tricky to get into because of the trees and location of the sewer connection. Most of the sites do not have sewer connections. There are many permanent campers and made will not make you feel welcomed. The campground will charge for all your visitors, even if they are only going to be there for a couple of hours and not using any of the facilities. We will not stay here again. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.

Was not impressed with the campground. Staff were not very friendly or helpful, showers were filthy and drains were clogged. Sites were small and packed together, camp store was out of most items. Charged extra for everything. Nice lake. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a busy resort park with many seasonal campers. The sites are back-in with plenty of trees. We had to unhook so we didn't stick out into the road. The bathrooms were satisfactory. The campground has plenty of trees and next to the river. Very nice to walk around, watch out for the poison ivy. The Trailer Life book indicates this campground is in Knowlton which is close to Mosinee. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I have camped at several Wisconsin campgrounds: mostly in eastern or central Wisconsin. Lake du Bay Shores was terrific. They treated us with the best service available. We have a seasonal site now because of their service. Their son who helps out, gets the job done in a timely fashion, wood hauling, emptying the holding tanks etc. This campground has rummage/bake sales, kareokee, BINGO and on holiday weekends: a Disc Jockey. The Disc Jockey gets all that are listening involved and it's entertaining. They also offer motor/paddle boat and canoe rentals. If you need wood: they offer it. They have an arcade center with games for many tastes. They have a playground where the young can play and they also have horseshoe pits. Many campers visit at the pavilion when it isn't being used. Recently they roped off the swimming area and added a floating pad for the kids to play on. If you have your own boat they have many slips available on a first come basis. Many campers who are not seasonal often book their camping dates the year before to ensure they get the site they want. Finally, if you forgot something they have a small convenience store that will get you through the weekend. I would also like to add: the season campers are great and you can make life long friends. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites are on top of each other, no privacy at all. The owners are not very friendly and charge for every last thing. The only thing that is not charged for is the showers. We paid $157 for two sites for two nights because of all the extra "fees". We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.

My family has been camping at Dubay Shores for about 4 years now. The owners have been helpful, never rude. We have never been hassled. It is not a 5-star resort nor do they claim it to be. There is no pool, however the lake is beautiful and there is a beach when the river level is not overly high. There have been many improvements we've noticed over the years. The boat launch has been redone and there are more new floating docks. The main bathrooms have been completely redone. The beach area has been improved and there is new, handmade wooden furniture around. I really like that the "quiet rule" is enforced and the place is patrolled at night on weekends. It may not be fancy but it's nice, quiet and I like it. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground with plenty of trees. Has everything we want with none of the unnecessary amenities. Fire rings, nice wide sites, friendly host, entertainment on weekend, and quiet hrs that are quiet hrs. WI-FI reception in your RV. Didn't notice train or traffic noise at night. Interior roads are rather narrow but doable. We would stay here again. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is over crowded and next to train tracks. You can hear the train coming through many times during the day and night. It is also close to the highway, so you can hear car traffic. Many sites are in the open with no shade. The owners charge for everything! And I mean everything. This campground is not justified for the cost. I would not recommend staying at this campground. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.
