Stayed here on our way home from Minnesota. Easy check-in, clean and level sites. Right off the highway so a lot of highway noise if you're closest to the highway. The spots in the back are not as loud but the traffic noise permeates the entire campground. Campground has activities on the weekends and the kids took part in the ice cream social. Other than the traffic noise, the park is quiet and the campers pleasant and friendly. We would stay here again while on the road but would request a site not so close to the highway (we spent the evening watching trucks roll down the road while enjoying our fire). We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The camp store carries frozen Kozy's pizza (local pizza place with superior thin-crust pie) and they'll cook it up for you and deliver to your site. Highly recommend Kozy's!

Nothing but kudos for the staff and park. Wish we could have stayed longer. There are no negatives. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night on our way to Wisconsin Dells. We enjoyed the park. We would stay there again. The park is easy to navigate, the cable and other hookups were easy to locate and take care of, and the staff was very nice. The store had some cool items for sale. It was fun to look around. They escorted us to our site, even though the park is easy to understand. The playground was very cool. A huge sand box with some fun digging toys that are made so the child can sit on it and pull levers to make it dig. It also had a huge inner tube for the kids to play with and in. The other equipment was fun, as well. The pool was very large and was at a great temperature. There were a few pool toys available for the kids to play with. We camped there in a motorhome. Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area. The park is a short drive from I-90/94 (Exit 48) along a paved roads ending in a residential area. The park is adjacent to the interstate so there is some road and distant train noise. The office is at the back of the park so it required two loops through the campground (once to register and once to exit). There was an escort to the site. The interior roads & parking pads were compacted granite. The roads are very narrow with obstructions along the road creating hazards and turns are tight but we remained connected to the toad. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull throughs. The P/T sites were long enough that we didn't have to disconnect the toad. The site we were assigned had been flooded due to the recent rain but dried before we were assigned it. Although the parking pad was narrow, there was sufficient room for opening slides. The sites were generally level. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites but the sites were close together. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were about mid way along the parking pad. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table and fire pit. There was an extensive tree canopy around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site. Cable channel lineup showed 48 channels. The park provided WiFi was good. It was password protected. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception. There were two designated fenced pet areas with a grass surface located towards the back of the park. But the grass was wet due to the recent rain. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads and the adjacent residential area. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter. We would probably stay here again but only for a night if traveling through the area.

As I indicated my August, 2014 review of this park, I would only stay here again if I could get one of the few satellite friendly sites. Our site was a gravel, level, FHU, pull-through that was satellite friendly My previous review describes the types of site and recreational facilities. Their large pool was refreshing on a warm day. The laundry and the bathrooms/showers are old, but clean. As it true in many parks, they are not adequate for a park with so many non-sewer sites. The staff was friendly and helpful, There are recycling bins near the office. Yes, the interstate noise is noticeable. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.

This was one of the nicer KOAs we have stayed. The front desk person was friendly and led us to our site. All utilities worked well and the site was level. It appears they had just layed down a fresh layer of crushed stone throughout the park. My only complaint is that the sites are so close together. We would stay here again. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, small park, not far from major interchange, did hear traffic & airplane noise plus a fair amount of train noise, but overall a good park in which to stay. Cable TV with almost 50 channels and a listing of area churches on their brochure as well as the name of a local veterinarian. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Major Interchange off of County Road PP, off of I-90, didn't venture out to see the sites, although did order Bread Sticks and store was well stocked.

We used to come here on a regular basis until 2007 when the then owner started charging an extra $2 for "drive in" customers. There are now new owners, so we are back. We had a level, gravel, FHU, pull-through site. Although there is a cable hookup, the provider (Comcast) now requires that all TVs are hooked up to a new cable box to get the cable. This is a provider, not RV park, issue. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I do not have the physical agility or technical knowledge to attach this box to my TV. So, we went without the cable TV even though it is free with the site fee. Fortunately, we were able to get roof satellite reception in spite of the trees. Evidently we were parked perfectly to be aligned with a gap in the trees. Few sites here are satellite friendly. There are about 25 FHU, 30/50 amp, pull-through sites; a dozen FHU, 30 amp back-in sites; and 25 W&E, 30 amp, back-in sites. The park also has 10 tents sites and 4 rental cabins and 1 rental trailer. The park was fairly full but we had no problem getting Wi-Fi in our RV. The park has a larger than usual pool, a bounce pillow, a playground, and a game room. Their bathrooms are inadequate for a park with this many non-sewer sites. The laundry was OK. There are some recycling bins near the game room. Yes, there is interstate traffic noise day and night. The new owners are friendly and helpful. I would probably return only if I could be assured of getting one of the few satellite friendly sites. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground right next to busy interstate, lots of road noise. Typical KOA. Good camp supplies and gift shop. Attendant was nice and helpful. We only stayed here so we could have sewer hookups. Most other campgrounds in the area only had electric and water with no sewer hookups. Thought it was overpriced for the location. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Didn't get to see much of the campground as it was raining when we pulled in. Wifi was very slow and only 3 digital channels on the tv. Plus they are very close to the interstate so it was very noisy. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We kind of like the traffic sounds at night as we were close to the Interstate. Many sites unoccupied as it was September. Stayed only one night. We would stop again when in the area. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.
