Sites are very small; pull-throughs do not have full hookups so had to get a back-in site which meant unhooking our towed first and parking it in an unused spot. It was quiet for the 7 nights we stayed there (visiting nearby relatives and side trip to Door County). Worst part was sites not level and could not use levelers because ground too soft. There are goose droppings everywhere; had to borrow a rake from groundskeeper to police our site before we unhooked. Actually a nice play to stay, very clean (except for the geese) but not big-rig friendly at all. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful city operated park, nearly surrounded by the Oconto River. Interior roads are asphalt, with deterioration and speed bumps. Parking sites are gravel and grass, but do not park on the grass. Our site was very spacious, but awkward to back into, leaving will nearly require a U-turn. Extra charges to play putt-putt. Office has short hours. You must sort your trash for recycling. canoes/kayaks available to rent, campfire pit rings available. It has been raining steadily and we are dry but surrounded by large puddles of rainwater. Of course, we would return! We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Holtwood for two nights. Our full hookup site was beside the river. As commented previously, two sites share a common pedestal with one site having 50 amp and the other 30 amp. It was enjoyable to be parked beside the river, however our site was covered in goose poop. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

The electrical service is spotty. Sometimes the voltage drops and caused one of our air conditioners to stop working. We are in site 22 and the electrical box is shared with site 23. The electrical box has a 50 amp plug and a 30 plug. It is almost 100 degrees here today and we need to have reliable AC.

The site is grass but it is level and firm. It is short so the car has to be parked in between coaches.

No WiFi.

Water is good and satellite got a lock. There is a road on the other side of the river but noise is minimal.

40 minute drive to Lambeau Field. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate is weekly. This is a popular city owned, seasonal campground with several sites for short term stays as well. I think around 60% of the sites are seasonal. Around the parameter, and right on Oconto River, is where most of the short term sites are. They are grass sites and set up so two RV's share a common electric pedestal, with one rig facing the river and the other facing the road. This, though, isn't always the case, as several sites are set up for "parallel parking" between the river and the road. The majority of the sites are full hook up although there are sections of the campground devoted to tent camping. The river is a popular kayak/tubing spot and people also catch a variety of fish. Canoes, tubes, etc. are available for rent and firewood is for sale at the camp office. The city pool and ball fields plus a disc golf course is nearby. Right across the river is a Kwik-Trip convenience store, McDonalds, and several other businesses. In spite of their close proximity getting there by road is about a mile and a half. The campground recommends reservations, and I'm sure they are needed on summer weekends as many folks from Green Bay come for a quick get-away. We had good 4G Verizon and got two of our three Dish Network satellites. I think it would be easy enough to get all the satellites in some sites and downright impossible to get any of them in others. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and fortunately the GPS directed us exactly as there is a definite lack of road signage to park. Office was closed and no site maps available. Found sign to camphosts and fortunately we had unhooked car to use as Sunday visitors to monthly renters had parked cars on interior paved roads. Host said to find a site with what ever electrical hookups you want as it is a first come first serve who gets 50amp and who gets the 30amp side. Walked the park and found beautiful and grassy site by river. Grass sites on river are $2 more than interior and are level with full hookups! Some pull thrus available. It is peaceful until the middle of the night when the two nightly trains a half mile away sound their horns signaling that they may be coming through your rv! We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground is nicely maintained and more scenic than most. Most transient sites are along a river. Campground is very nice. Not so much the restroom/showers. Overall a very good value for the money. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

VERY roomy, grassy, sites! We stayed at R5 right along the river. Full hook-ups! Campfire wood was delivered to the site after payment.

This campground is located in the heart of Oconto, so do not expect a "quiet" retreat. Plenty of amenities here for families and many conveniences close by. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice county park. Park personnel/host were friendly and nice. Many seasonal sites but all clean and neat. We overnighted mid-week in E section. During the week they are grouped as two long, level side-by-side pull throughs, no sewer and very open. On the busy weekends the pull throughs are turned into four very close back in sites. There are two electrical boxes and four water hookups. The electric boxes have two 50A and two 30A plugs. First come, first serve as to who gets the 50/30A plugs. All roads are paved and sites are grass/gravel. The rest of the park is nicely tree covered, and we would have no trouble maneuvering our 45’ motorhome. Biggest problems are the bathroom and laundry. Women’s side has one toilet and two showers set up in an old portable trailer. Wood 2x4 placed across bottom of shower to hold back water. Considering their age, they are as clean as possible. The laundry has three washers and dryers ($1.50 each) placed into a partially gutted, old decrepit trailer – very yucky! One dumpster for the entire park. Multiple small trash cans placed around park to collect beer/soda cans. Easy access off US 14 and McDonald Road. A river flows around the entire park and signs are posted stating the park is a flood zone so be cautious. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Hosts were polite campground was clean. It was nice to stay right on the river, however this campground is in the center of Oconto, so we had some traffic noise and across the river was a neighborhood that was unsightly. We prefer camping in the woods, but it wasn't a bad little campground. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice county park. Sites are very close together. We stayed in the E section; no sewer but nice sites. Showers are coin operated; we didn't use them. Only 1 toilet for such a big site. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice, well maintained city campground. Overnighter sites do not have sewer but for a night or two that's just fine. Areas around sites are nice and grassy and there are plenty of places to walk for some exercise. Park is right off US 41 which runs north-south, so it is very convenient for travelers. Large number of the shaded sites in the park are occupied by seasonal folks but they are kept very neat. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park, right in town. Big rig sites are the out of the trees, with no sewer. Not sure I could get my 45' MH in the sites in the trees with sewer connections. We like having clear sky views for the sat dishes anyway. If we were here more than one night, I would have tried to get onto one of the sites right on the river. There's a dump site just outside the campground if you have a no-sewer site. This one is on our return list, if we need an overnight in this area again. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, city-owned campground on the Oconto River. There is noise from a nearby train track and the highway that passes through town. Lot of shade trees. There are a few seasonal sites available on a waiting list. Weekend campers are mostly families. Things to watch out for. We have been full-timing for 6 years and this is the only campground we have stayed in where someone has tried to cut the hose to our grill in order to take our propane tank: twice in 2 months! We will think hard before camping here again. We camped at Holtwood Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground along the busy highway going through Oconto. Lots of trees. Very few spaces have a view for satellite TV or Internet. There are several seasonal sites with a waiting list.
