We stayed 3 nights. In that time, we met many of the staff and each person was friendly and helpful. The entire campground was clean and very well-kept. There are 3 pools and a splash pool. All were clean. There is a pond where you can rent paddle boards. On Saturday night there was an outdoor, family movie. The bathrooms and showers were spotless. We are looking forward to going back. - Jameille
May 2015 - $42.00
The campground is going through what looks like a fairly major overhaul. The pond (Whitetail Springs) is much cleaner and nicer than it was two years ago and a lot of the sites had been re built and there was quite a bit of construction going on. It was never loud or obtrusive, but there was definitely activity about as they are trying to improve the facilities. I would definitely ask if the site you're looking at is near construction or is being redone.
We were there before the pools were open but they do have 3 pools with one being adults only. The other major amenity is the 9 hole golf course. A lot of people were playing it and it looked like a lot of fun. If you're looking for more of a challenge, Lawsonia is right across the street and that is one (actually two) of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses you're going to ever play.
Our site did not have a sewer hookup (only two nightly sections do) but their dump station area was clean and odor free. Easy to get in and out of without being right at the main gate.
The camp store and the people running it were great. Coffee, great looking snacks and a cheerful group of people providing great service.
We had no problem getting to our site with our 5th wheel, but I can see there might be some sites we would have struggled with so look at the map and know your unit.
The water was clean, pressure was good, Verizon wireless was adequate, their wi-fi was strong, but slow.
We'll definitely go back. - Samron68
May 2011 - $45.00
This campground is very family friendly. All activities included in the main price. There are no extra fees required. Bath houses are very clean and well kept. Swimming pools are very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great golf course located on site free to campers. Mini golf was also free. Kids had a great time here. - werazoo
Aug 2016 - $60.00
Too muddy, too much tree overhang and other debri for big rigs. The mud puddles are mosquito filled. Nasty. They were not happy we decided to stay only one night due to poor conditions. Our tires sank in our supposedly gravel site at least 4 inches! Roads were a tiny bit better, but they desperately need new gravel all over and some tree trimming or clearing out. Lots of junky permanents. Never going back. - amejame
May 2016 - $39.00
The campground staff is amazing! They are extremely friendly, very helpful and so very kind! The campground is always busy with activities for kids and even some for the adults.
The sites are good in size and most have plenty of shade. - Tina_Menasha
May 2016 - $45.00
Everything except equipment rental is included in the overnight rate. You're not bilked to have a good time. It's family owned. There are free crafts and movies. This will be our family favorite from now on. The sites are huge, mostly shady, and dirt. - Tetz
Sep 2017 - $30.00
Wow! It is a well kept park. People are friendly, friendly, friendly! They have a dog park, about an acre, really clean and fenced, lots of room to run. They held a chili dump while we were there. Good chili, I ate till I popped. Then we played bingo with all our new friends. This is mostly a park with seasonal units. The folks know each other and make you part of the community. The temporary spaces are roomy and green with fire rings. I really enjoyed my stay here. - LostSoulCa
Jun 2016 - $35.00
What a great place to stay..nice store free pizza delivery to sites fish fries Friday with more than u can eat. Many sites with lots of shade. Big playground and obviously horse shoe competition is a huge hit! Friendly staff very well maintained grounds. This is the second time we stayed there and loved it good wifi and tv reception tho not too many stations. - mshoff
Aug 2012 - $35.00
We stayed here and had water/elec hookup. This park is very well kept, has both a swim pond and pool, 2 nice kids park areas. Owners keep the grounds/bathrooms/showers in excellent shape. Nice store with some groceries. Lots of things to do, and fun activities to participate in. We were by the road, and it is quite busy, but it was fun to watch the Amish buggies go by. The owner was great in helping with maps of area and things to do. We will definitely return. - cfamrace49
May 2012 - $34.00
This is a clean, well maintained campground. The staff is courteous. Sites are pretty close together but are in amongst the pine trees. The pool is nice as is the swimming pond. They had a lot of activities scheduled for the holiday weekend. Our family had a really nice time. We will camp here again. - Kinger
Jul 2017 - $43.00
This is a beautiful campground with everything you could ask for. We spent 3 nights with 2 of our grandsons and our dog. It is a pet friendly park. Heated pool, game room, snack bar and wonderful fishing lake right across the street. You can rent a rowboat, kayak or canoe or just stand on the pier and fish. My grandson and husband caught at least 50 fish in 3 days. They also have bike rentals available, one seater, two seaters or four seaters. Our site was clean with nice picnic table and fire ring. There are a lot of seasonal campers here but we stayed during the week so most of them weren't even there. The owners are friendly and want to make sure everyone enjoys the campground. They were having a "Christmas in July" this weekend and were starting to decorate when we left. I would highly recommend this campground for families, couples and anyone that loves camping. Will definitely return next year. - Southbar
Jun 2017 - $20.00
We stayed at this park recently. Sites are spacious and mostly shady. Internet was good as long as you don't mind re-signing back in every 2 hours! Bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Park is really quiet. This park is located within a small community of Montello. There is a post office and beautiful little park. Don't expect any big stores. Staff at the park are very friendly. Even though during our stay the weather was too cool, there were people enjoying the heated pool area. Roads were narrow and packed caliche. Lots of live in residents but the majority of those wouldnt deter us from staying again. - HillCountryRV0128
Aug 2016 - $24.00
Nice place in the pines. Very helpful owner. No idea the site number. This place would be a great visit for a number of days/weeks. Just remember to bring your boat!!! - Homawy
Jul 2010 - $39.00
We stayed at the campground over 4th of July weekend for the first time. Although the campground was nearly filled to capacity, we were amazed at how quiet it was. The campground is a little older than some in the area, but it is very well maintained. Our kids loved the pool and playground. The owners really do enforce quiet time and do their best to make sure that Kilby Lake remains family friendly. We had a disturbing neighbor that moved in over the weekend that was drunk and throwing around foul language (loud enough surrounding sides could hear). The neighbor received one warning and then was evicted from the campground; we were very appreciative. We will definitely be back again. - 2kids4me
Jul 2009 - $35.00
It is picturesque with greenery and wild berries but not big rig friendly. There are narrow sites and lots of mature trees that inhibit satellite reception. The owners were friendly and strictly enforced quiet time. No sewer hookups were available when we were there (full hookups limited to permanent units), just a small 250 gallon drop tank that had to be pumped three times. Our friends who stayed there in a pop-up at the same time reported clean showers and restrooms but we did not use them. The sandy terrain and very high iron water that left rust everywhere. We had AT&T phone which had no reception. - DeRenzy
Sep 2007 - $35.00
Overall a very nice campground. The sites are big and most provide lots of privacy. The majority of the campground is very wooded except for a large center play area with playground equipment, a shelter and game room. We played a quick game of football within this area. There are quite a few seasonal sites, but they are well kept and everyone is friendly. The full hookup sites have a holding tank for sewer. Mine overflowed a little when I dumped before leaving. So, I had to use the dump station to finish. I'm not sure the sewer hookup is worth the extra $3 per night. Also, the interior roads are mostly sand, so don't plan on doing any biking. - pmiesbauer
Oct 2017 - $55.00
This is an old park with a lot of seasonal campers. It's a little hard to navigate but really should not be a problem. The sites are not very level or well marked on where you should park. Some of the pedestals were shared with other sites and you could move the fire rings anywhere you want. Overall its pretty run down. The plus side is it's located in a stand of beautiful pines, if camping with a group you can park your rigs any which way you want. All of the seasonal folks we encountered were nice and our group had a good time. If passing thru for the night I would look elsewhere but if you have a group that is looking for a place to go might be worth checking out. - Campingwi
Jul 2015 - $52.00
I am not one to leave poor reviews, but this place was not good. We stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. We had reservations for 2 days and we stayed one day and left. We had a full hook-up site reserved and paid for in advance. We arrived and checked in and went back to our site and the was only about 35' long and that was being generous. They knew when I made the reservation that I had a 38' 5th wheel, it was also on the paperwork at check in and they still assigned me the site. After sitting at the site and trying to figure out how a trailer was to even park in here, one of the office staff drove out and pointed out to me how they generally park in here. He comment "you have a big unit for this site." I went back to the office and picked a different site, got a water and electric from a full hook up we were originally to have that was paid for. I ask them if there was any difference in price and they said it was about $20 difference , but there would be a $10 site transfer charge and it would all have to be approved through the manager who would come and talk to me the next day. He never hunted me down to talk to me and never called me on my cell phone the number in which they had from my original reservation. I was very disappointed in there service and all the amenities that they were supposedly to have that we did not see. It appeared that the park was not very well maintained. The pool was nice, but had an awful lot of chlorine in it. I will not be returning and am still waiting on that phone call for my refunded difference from the manager. - PackerFanRick
Sep 2010 - $33.00
We enjoyed our stay here. Lots of things to do here (see their web site). We will definitely visit this campground again soon. - thetonz
Aug 2017 - $50.00
We stayed in the newer part with the pull through sites which were pretty nice. Sites were wide open with a little more space then you usually get. Concrete picnic pad and fairly level gravel driveway. They also had a swim pond with a few inflatables which was nice. There was no shower house or flush bathrooms in that section which would not be a problem but we had a popup on the group. The rest of the park looked like a refugee camp. Tents and campers parked every which way with no resemblance of order. The drive in and out of the campground was tight and not ideal for big rigs. Was not super difficult but there was tight turns and trees you had to be on the lookout and could be designed much better. There is a pool and another swim pond and all the other amenities you would expect at a family fun resort along with a lot of people. Not sure if I would come back here and if I was to I would be sure to stay in the newer location. If camping with a group and you want to corral your campers up it might also be a good choice. - Campingwi
Jul 2017 - $44.00
This is a very nice campground, grounds are well kept and the sites were spacious. The pool was adequate for the number of campsites, the two swim beaches were very nice, the miniature golf was consistant with other campgrounds we've visited. Restrooms and showers (25 cents) were clean, partition walls could use brighter paint. Camp store was sparse. Staff was friendly. Firewood and ice were inexpensive. - Frank A
Jul 2010 - $37.00
We've come here 1 or 2 times a year for the last 5 or so years. We really enjoy this campground. The owners and their staff are always very nice, and they are always helpful. The whole resort is always kept clean and neat. They are pet friendly as long as the rules are followed. Pets are to be leashed and you must clean up after your pet immediately. I appreciate this so much as I don't bring a pet, though several in our group do. The pool is well maintained and a pleasure to use on those hot July days. The mini golf is our favorite challenge. The owners have been very busy adding some GREAT playground equipment, as well as new rafts to play on in the pond and adding a GREAT new snack area. You will love this campground. Give them a try. - Delores M.
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Sites are narrow but long. Some require long hose/extension cord depending on trailer placement. Beachside sites available. Staff is very courteous. Best customer service we've had anywhere, although bar/store hours could be expanded. Restrooms and showers are mopped daily. Very clean. Sites are sandy. Hiking trails are not marked well. Children could get lost easily if not accompanied by an adult. Tall pine trees sway in the breeze at night. Beautiful trees. Cheap wood/ice. $4 for large bundles of wood and $2 for 7 lb bags of ice. Limited store. Groceries/dollar store 3 miles away. Very nice and courteous staff. Would stay there again. - Jimicos
Aug 2014 - $26.00
All the sites are sand. Utilities were a little strange. Water and electric were at opposite ends. Lots of permanents. Would not stay there again. It's quite run down. - har-fl
Oct 2017 - $15.00
New owners promised to be revamping the place. Good Passport America price. We were on our way south toward Madison from Two Rivers and this was the least expensive option. New owners are very nice and promised to be working on improving the park. There are RV sites with E/W for short term stays, with FHU for seasonals, alongside mobile homes, tiny homes, and cabins. There is a spot to dump, but I would not call it a dump station because (as instructed by an owner) I had to disconnect and use the hose from a tiny home nearby. Owner says they are working on putting in a real D. Our stay was brief, thankfully. Not much to do, but it was a relatively safe place to stay. People live here. The school bus picked up and dropped off children. We heard loud arguing in and out of the cabin next to us, including loud, inappropriate language. A water line in the park broke while we were there, but the owners had a crew in to fix it within the day. - Unknown_Normal
Sep 2016 - $27.00
This is a beautiful RV park on Buffalo Lake. It is breathtakingly scenic and serene and wonderfully quiet. We were here for Sunday night over Labor Day weekend and though popular, it was still quiet! The park is beautifully landscaped with lawns everywhere and is right next to the lake. We loved being here with our large dogs. This is the best park we've visited all the way from California to Wisconsin. - beckydmc
