Cramped campground overlooking Lake Superior. Our site has two 50 amp hookups and a 20 amp but no 30 amp which is what we requested. Next door there are two 30 amp plugs, so we hooked up there. Water hookup is on the wrong side. Many sites are far from level. No sewer or WiFi. The relatively new Indian casino is three minute walk away, which is where the restrooms are located. Nice view of the lake from most sites. But, really, this is a very uninspired place with plenty of other campgrounds in the area. Stay here only if you can't get in elsewhere. This campground is about three miles from Bayfield, which is where it really should be listed. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
The casino offers a free shuttle into Bayfield. Arrange a pickup at the hotel desk.

We stayed here for four nights. Great view. 30 amp electric and water only. Dump station on your way out. Sites are a little un-level but ok. Overall OK.. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.
Check-in at the hotel desk. Sites are back-in with water & electric and a backwards dump station. No one does the speed limit in the CG. Some sites overlook Lake Superior and there is a community area with three picnic tables and fire rings next to the lake. Interior sites accommodate larger rigs, perimeter sites up to 32'. Boat launch and marina at the casino. Staff was helpful and courteous. Campers do have access to the hotel showers and restrooms, separate entrance. Some sites don't have much room for outdoor furniture...some picnic tables set at a huge slant on a side hill and some sites are just plain narrow. Great views of the lake and Islands. We had a pleasant stay and would return. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
Apostle Islands Boat Tour begins in Bayfield daily. Parking off the waterfront all day, Front street 2 hour limit. Nearest shopping is in Ashland.

Great park for visiting Apostle Islands. Most spots are smaller, would get a 10 if there were an option for sewer. Very clean & quiet. Spots are crushed gravel/sand. Most not very level. Wonderful lake views. We stayed in spot#33. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Had lakeside site, great view of the lake. Friendly professional check-in lady at the Casino Hotel Lobby registration desk. There are no sewer hookups, only a dump station which they call a "Pump Out" station. There are only 50 amp connections available, so if you only have a 30 amp hook up, bring along an adapter in order to hook up to the 50 amp service connector. There is no Wi-Fi available to the RV sites, but there is free Wi-Fi at the nearby hotel where we checked in. There is no cable TV or over-the-air television service. Hotel has two restaurant's. One restaurant has the option of a buffet or individual ordered meals. We would camp here again. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.
Hello. The staff was very rude and unfriendly at check-in. They never smiled or made us feel welcomed. To use the wifi we had to go into the smoke filled lobby of their casino. No sewer hook up. The sites were very uneven, short and some are on a hill. The view of Lake Superior and The Apostle Islands was nice. The showers and restrooms were clean but the minute you step inside the building it stinks of smoke even where there are "no smoking" signs. Yuck! Gravel sites with grass and some shade. We would not recommend or stay here again. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Positives: close to Bayfield, and there is a free shuttle to town. Negatives: Our reservation got mixed up, we had reserved site 20 (large site with water and electric) and were put in site 19, which had electricity but was barely large enough for our 22' trailer. Showers were clean, but the dressing area was not private. Dump station is backwards. Had we actually been given our reserved site, would have rated it 7. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty clean campground right on the shores of Lake Superior. We had site #10 which backed up to the lake which spectacular views. We had a 50 amp and water hookup, picnic table and large fire pit. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They have good security here. We had dinner one night in the casino/hotel and it was excellent! Only 3 miles from downtown Bayfield where the cruises to the Apostle Islands depart. Lots of nice shops and places to eat. Also a ferry to Madeline Island is available. The Apostle Island National Lakeshore Visitor's Center is downtown and interesting as is a maritime museum and a City of Bayfield Museum which is very well done. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The waterfront sites are ridiculously small with a steep terrace between each site. I would highly recommend not taking a waterfront site if your unit is over 18 feet long. Interior roads were very dusty. Overall, the campground was not being maintained. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Great stay at this campground. Quiet and well kept. You can go into the associated hotel/casino and use the restrooms and great showers. Separate entrance!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to downtown Bayfield. Would stay here again. Site 12 is a great site. Some sites have tight table/fire pit area. Would stay here again. Food in restaurant/bar is good too, if you do not want to cook. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.
RV park is part of the casino property. It is right on the shore of Lake Superior and the views are wonderful. Spaces are varied. Some are open and fairly level. Others are tight. Restrooms are in the hotel and are very small and only two shower stalls. No laundry. No pool use for campers, only for hotel guests. Did have a portapot in the campground. Overall, a 10 for the views, not for the amenities. Approximately, 5 miles north of Bayfield. Nice little town. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

Small but excellent campground! We were very pleased to have found this campground. The campground staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Beautiful scenery, casino a very short walk from campground. The casino is new and still working out reservation issues (answering phones promptly) but staff is very polite and helpful. The restaurant is a good value. Marina and beach on premises. Excellent value! We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

As a previous reviewer stated, they are under construction! It is noisy, dusty and the bathrooms/showers are temporary mobile units in the Casino parking lot. The sewer hook-ups at sites and the dump station were in need of pumping out ( had been that way for two weeks) and could not be used. Water is not available at all sites-you have to ask a neighbor with water to unhook so you can fill your own tank. Electric was very strange-50 amp or 15 at our newer site. All in all there were too many inconveniences and irritations to justify the cost. Maybe this will be a nice campground in the future...but sorry, not this year! We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is next to a new casino that opened mid Aug 2011. Roads and pads are gravel, some steep and not suitable for larger rvs. The park is run by 2 college students that know little about rv needs. They "helped" a family noisily setup at 3 am, talking loudly waking everyone nearby. The park has no permanent dump station so we were directed to a pipe sticking up from the ground with no cap near the edge of the Casino parking lot. Some sites have electric but it is 50 amp - no 30 amp provided. Strange. Some sites have water from shared spigots. We were promised water for our reserved site but they had to run a hose across the parking pad next to us because no hookup was next to our site. Then the students couldn't find a white water hose, pretended they didn't know they needed to provide a white hose, and ended up connecting via their dirty green hose which we had emphatically rejected. We couldn't drink the water for our 3 day stay. Several sites including ours had a view of Lake Superior - lovely. But the park was not inviting - more like a construction site with little grass, dusty roads,& narrow and uneven sites next to us. They also mix tent and RV sites next to each other. Our complaining to management about the improper hose hookup was passed on to the college students who thereafter ignored us. Do not stay here if you are seeking a "Northwoods" scenic site. If you want to be close to the casino and in a construction parking lot atmosphere then this is the place. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Disclaimer: The campground is being remodeled as part of a new casino/hotel/resort/campground complex being built right next to the old campground. Since this campground is part of that project we had to give them a lot of slack. There is zero complaints about the view from our bay side campsite. The electrical is a bit odd in that there is only 50 and 15 amp at the newly remodeled sites, no 30 amp. Once they get done with construction, I suspect this will be an excellent campground for many years to come, right now it is too early to tell for the 2011 season.
