All spots are same price, including lake front. The geese seem to be around and the staff are working to keep them out of the camping area which is a good thing. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Well maintained Restrooms & showers available in Casino/Hotel building. Desk had a electricity converter for loan so we appreciated that. Restaurant offered $5 soup and salad bar and it was excellent. Campers also get $5 coupons for slot machine play also $5 towards Blackjack in addition to $1 off drink. This offer is every day you stay, not just one time. Good location for us to explore the area.

Great view of the bay. Very picturesque. Roads were decent, fairly level. Bit of walk to the bathrooms as they are in the casino. No sewer hook ups, dump station on the way out. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

If you have kayaks, you must go the the sea caves east of Meyers Beach in Cornucopia. Spectacular is all I can say. Bayfield is a quaint town.

Beautiful views of Lake Superior on this fairly quiet campground. The sites are close together and very tight to get into if sites on both sides are occupied--kind of like threading a needle. Trucks park wherever they can fit so that makes it even more tight to back into a site. Bathrooms and showers are in casino and very nice/modern. Proximity to Bayfield is also a big plus. We needed blocks to level but it wasn't too bad. Basic TV and cell service were fine. No WiFi. Staff was very helpful--when we were looking for a trash dumpster in the rain, one staff member asked if we needed help and then insisted on taking our trash for us. Very nice. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Canoe the lagoon at Big Bay State Park on Madeline Island--very lovely. Maritime Museum in Bayfield is free and was very well done. The hike at Meyer State Beach wasn't nearly as scenic as we expected. Bayfield is a lovely town with several good restaurants and shopping.

Called ahead for reservations, and the Hotel receptionist said she would pick out a "good site" for us. Well, I suppose "good site" means differant things to differant people. We were thinking a "good site" would be one that backed up to Lake Superior. Our site was on the upper level at the entrance so we ate the dust fron the inconsiderate faster than should be drivers. We did still have a nice view. The site was not level from left to right or from front to back. We had to put 4" of blocks under the wheels to get it level. Considering the options in the area, we probably wouldstay heresgain, especially considering the Casino was very friendly to us. Some previous reviews suggested the showers, in the Hotel, were too far to walk. We thought the walk was average andcloser than some State Parks. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Tent.

This is an average campground that is overpriced especially for a casino. Roads and sites are dirt/gravel and muddy if it rains. Sites are arranged irregularly around a hilltop and vary a lot in size, spacing, and levelness. Water spigots and electric boxes are also found in some odd places. Clean and modern bathrooms and showers are available in the hotel building but it is a bit of a walk up to them. The office staff was friendly and helpful when registering. It is in a pretty setting above Lake Superior and the marina, but in hindsight I should have just dry camped. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

A small park, next to the casino and overlooking Lake Superior. On a hillside with great views; site sizes are typical. Wi-fi available at casino cafe. Our site 43 was on the end of the loop and spacious but not level; others seemed more cramped. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay when visiting the Apostle Islands National Seashore. Plus, the town of Bayfield is a nice little town with little shops. Free live music in the park on Tuesday evenings in the summer.

We were on a trial run on our new trailer. This park took reservations, so we drove up. Went to check in. There was one person at the check in for the casino, hotel, and campgrounds. We went to the site and were absolutely dismayed. It was TINY! And mounded. And short. And within 6 feet of each neighbor. And needed to park the truck so close to the camper there was no passage. And deep ruts in the small grass area to get into the camper. There was a vista to the water, but not when the camper rear has no windows. And the casino dining room closed at 7:30. No food service available. We left the next morning in pouring rain. It was not at all what they touted their campground to be. Worst experience ever! We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped "on a whim". We were told one site would be available within the hour. Not true. The fella was booked for one more night. Then, we were given an even better site right on Lake Superior frontage. Beautiful. Someone had reserved it for the next night so we had to move to a space two down, an even better site. The spaces were very tight, roads narrow, had to drive in a certain way to get into it. I walked it first and figured out a good, easy way to do this. A fella was extremely helpful and solved issues. Others complained of "issues". It is a casino. Good food. A convenient shuttle took you into Bayfield. The dump station was not convenient. You could rent kayaks. The view was spectacular from both of our sites. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

As per a suggestion from another campground poster from last year we camped in site #12. This site is probably the best one in the campground however there were a couple quirks. The power pedestal and water spigot are located at the front of the site so bring a couple long hoses and maybe a HD extension cord. As for the rest of the campground you have a 50/50 chance of getting a level site so bring plenty of blocking. They are not real bad but be prepared. All sites have a fire ring and older picnic table. Someone came around each night selling wood also. The campground showers and bathrooms are actually in the casino so you will have a walk of around 75 to 100 yards depending on what site you are in. Even though we didn't use the showers we observed that they were very clean. We did eat one evening meal in the casino and it was very good and reasonably priced. The lake side of the campground road offers very beautiful views of the lake and islands. We did notice people cutting through other people camp sites which is a thorn in my butt. All in all we were very happy with this campground. It was very quite at night plus there is lots to do in the area. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove down to Bayfield and enjoyed all the small shops and eateries that are available. We took a day trip to Duluth/Superior following Hwy. 13
This is a 80+ mile trip but the road was very good with different stops available for shopping and relaxing. We also drove down to Ashland for part of a day. Ashland has lots of shopping and other things to occupy your time. This trip we didn't take any boat rides or island excursions as we did those in the past.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Apostle Islands area. Lot 12 is absolutely beautiful. We made it a pull in so that we overlooked the water. Any utility inconvenience is nullified by the terrific view and great location. Some of the sites are not real level; however, ours was great. Good 50 amps. Water and electric are on opposite sides so you use a little more hose or cord. Dump station faces the wrong direction when you are leaving but there is lots of room for a quick turn around no matter how big you are. Personnel were extremely helpful and friendly during check-in. Lots of grass. The hotel/casino is only 4 years old and is very clean & modern. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

Cramped campground overlooking Lake Superior. Our site has two 50 amp hookups and a 20 amp but no 30 amp which is what we requested. Next door there are two 30 amp plugs, so we hooked up there. Water hookup is on the wrong side. Many sites are far from level. No sewer or WiFi. The relatively new Indian casino is three minute walk away, which is where the restrooms are located. Nice view of the lake from most sites. But, really, this is a very uninspired place with plenty of other campgrounds in the area. Stay here only if you can't get in elsewhere. This campground is about three miles from Bayfield, which is where it really should be listed. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Motorhome.

Check-in at the hotel desk. Sites are back-in with water & electric and a backwards dump station. No one does the speed limit in the CG. Some sites overlook Lake Superior and there is a community area with three picnic tables and fire rings next to the lake. Interior sites accommodate larger rigs, perimeter sites up to 32'. Boat launch and marina at the casino. Staff was helpful and courteous. Campers do have access to the hotel showers and restrooms, separate entrance. Some sites don't have much room for outdoor furniture...some picnic tables set at a huge slant on a side hill and some sites are just plain narrow. Great views of the lake and Islands. We had a pleasant stay and would return. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park for visiting Apostle Islands. Most spots are smaller, would get a 10 if there were an option for sewer. Very clean & quiet. Spots are crushed gravel/sand. Most not very level. Wonderful lake views. We stayed in spot#33. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hello. The staff was very rude and unfriendly at check-in. They never smiled or made us feel welcomed. To use the wifi we had to go into the smoke filled lobby of their casino. No sewer hook up. The sites were very uneven, short and some are on a hill. The view of Lake Superior and The Apostle Islands was nice. The showers and restrooms were clean but the minute you step inside the building it stinks of smoke even where there are "no smoking" signs. Yuck! Gravel sites with grass and some shade. We would not recommend or stay here again. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.
