We stayed 3 nights. In that time, we met many of the staff and each person was friendly and helpful. The entire campground was clean and very well-kept. There are 3 pools and a splash pool. All were clean. There is a pond where you can rent paddle boards. On Saturday night there was an outdoor, family movie. The bathrooms and showers were spotless. We are looking forward to going back. - Jameille
May 2015 - $42.00
The campground is going through what looks like a fairly major overhaul. The pond (Whitetail Springs) is much cleaner and nicer than it was two years ago and a lot of the sites had been re built and there was quite a bit of construction going on. It was never loud or obtrusive, but there was definitely activity about as they are trying to improve the facilities. I would definitely ask if the site you're looking at is near construction or is being redone.
We were there before the pools were open but they do have 3 pools with one being adults only. The other major amenity is the 9 hole golf course. A lot of people were playing it and it looked like a lot of fun. If you're looking for more of a challenge, Lawsonia is right across the street and that is one (actually two) of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses you're going to ever play.
Our site did not have a sewer hookup (only two nightly sections do) but their dump station area was clean and odor free. Easy to get in and out of without being right at the main gate.
The camp store and the people running it were great. Coffee, great looking snacks and a cheerful group of people providing great service.
We had no problem getting to our site with our 5th wheel, but I can see there might be some sites we would have struggled with so look at the map and know your unit.
The water was clean, pressure was good, Verizon wireless was adequate, their wi-fi was strong, but slow.
We'll definitely go back. - Samron68
May 2011 - $45.00
This campground is very family friendly. All activities included in the main price. There are no extra fees required. Bath houses are very clean and well kept. Swimming pools are very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great golf course located on site free to campers. Mini golf was also free. Kids had a great time here. - werazoo
Sep 2017 - $30.00
Wow! It is a well kept park. People are friendly, friendly, friendly! They have a dog park, about an acre, really clean and fenced, lots of room to run. They held a chili dump while we were there. Good chili, I ate till I popped. Then we played bingo with all our new friends. This is mostly a park with seasonal units. The folks know each other and make you part of the community. The temporary spaces are roomy and green with fire rings. I really enjoyed my stay here. - LostSoulCa
Jul 2016 - $27.00
First be aware that whether you make reservation on line or just show up at park there is a $5.00 reservation fee. Also there is a huge amount of bugs. Most spaces are shaded and many are spacious. Water only and the dump station fill up is on way into cammpground so to use after stay you have to drive all around loop. Crowed on week ends and not so much during the week. Not really terrible place but I will not use again if I can help it. - arcticfox
Dec 2015 - $22.00
Stayed here while visiting friends in the area. The sites are electric only with water and dump site by entrance. The sites are set in a wooded area. There is a bathroom/shower house also at the entrance. The adjacent park has group picnic areas with a reserve able shelter for parties. A swimming pool, walking trails and playground are close by. - TexasRVer
Aug 2012 - $22.00
This is a nice county park, which per the campground host, typically has open sites on weekends. It has an updated shower/restroom building and paved interior roads. Several sites would accommodate big rigs, but the numerous trees would require cautious entry. The wooded campsites limit any satellite use. Limited recreational activities in the area cause the overall rating to fall short of excellent. - mdtandem
Jul 2016 - $15.00
We have stayed at this park several times over the past two summers because it is near to family and convenient. It lacks sewer and water hookups, but large, clean bathrooms make up for it. The park is well maintained, with long, level, gravel pull through sites. - USA-RVNomads
Aug 2015 - $15.00
Small but impressive campground. Price is excellent but there is no sewer hookup and 50 amps are limited to very few. Self register, dump station and water available. - Karen86
Jul 2014 - $15.00
This is intended as an overnight park. The sites are level, gravel with easy access in and out. There is very limited 50-amp. Water and dump is at the office. There are 2 bathrooms / showers in the office area. You will need the key code to use them. Call for the code if needed. Phone and your cellular device will run on 3G, so slow loading on the Internet. There is clear reception whether dome or portable dish. There is no Wi-Fi in the park. We have stayed here 3 times for multiple nights and will return when we return to the area. Address is 1938 E. Main, Omro, WI 54963 - Workamper04
Aug 2017 - $45.00
Narrow gravel road, grass sites, facilities look run down. OK for a stop over. - 36-DP
Jul 2016 - $32.00
We went for the EAA fly-in. It was 92 and the breaker to our campsite kept blowing. I don't know how many times we had to reset the breaker. Didn't bring generator as we thought we would have electricity. Didn't use showers or bathrooms but looked very down from the outside. Don't stay here unless you have no other choice. - NINA W
Aug 2014 - $42.00
Pretty nasty place, and terribly overpriced. The site was fairly level, which is a good thing since my jacks would have sunk out of sight in the mud had I used them. The bathroom was so old and run down that I didn't even bother to look at the showers. They had recently placed some gravel over the mud at our site. Result: muddy gravel! Our motorhome tires got a nice coating of mud as we pulled in. My impression of reading reviews of parks in the Oshkosh area is that there don't seem to be many good ones - and I'm not sure why not. Anyway, we will definitely not be coming back to this one! - LowesTravels
Sep 2016 - $35.00
This is an RV park of last resort. They don't tell you what the rate is until you have already parked. Cash only. Was told rate was $50 per night - for a gravel spot with electricity and water. No cable, no sewer. They settled for less when pushed. Don't believe the sign which reads "Osh Vegas Palms Fabulous Resort"! - lilrvgirl
Aug 2016 - $45.00
I stayed here for the EAA Airventure. Great location and the owner provides on demand shuttle service to the airport. The owner is a great guy, very helpful and the best part of the stay was simply getting to know him and his associate. He's is the guy who helps guests with EVERYTHING! I had reservations at the airpark but decided I wanted to have AC power for air....glad I did! - Troy the Lawyer
Aug 2016 - $27.00
Older park with little management. Convenient to outlets, airport and interstate. We used as a base to travel to Green Bay and Oshkosh. - mogman
Jul 2017 - $27.00
We arrived the day before the Astarte of Airventure. The check-in process was as quick & efficient as it could be given the large amount of vehicles checking in. The problem came after that. Chaos is putting it nicely. Although we were told we would each have a 20x30 space there are no markers/lines to show those spaces. So the folks who arrived earlier took more than their allotted space & marked that larger space with tape/flags. After driving through the whole left side of the campground we finally found a spot right next to the highway. It was muddy & rutted. I would suggest going to the right side of the campground to the 24 hour generator area. We discovered open spaces there later. The sound of a generator 24 hours can't possibly be noisier than that highway was. The dump stations were easy to access. We left 3 days early & the checkout/refund process was quick $ efficient. Highly recommend EAA put some serious thought into lining out spaces for the future to control the spread of the greedy folks. We would never attend this event in our motor home again. - HS R.
Jul 2016 - $27.00
We arrived for the EAA Air Show and stayed for 8 nights. You must be an EAA member to use the campground. Check-in was efficient. We were told to go to the right and pick any 20 X 30 foot of lawn we wanted. We found a patch of lawn between two trees that provided some shade. There are no services unless you chose to purchase an electric and water site for $67.00 a night. This is the campground if you want to see the EAA Air Show without moving your car. There is a multi lane dump station and numerous fresh water fill up stations. Tips: bring a gray water dump container, a generator for power, rope to mark your space, stakes, and containers to haul fresh water. - travelcouple
Jul 2009 - $21.00
This is a specialized campground open for EAA's Air Venture during July. If your looking for a resort with lots of amenities this is not it! It's dry camping with the friendliest bunch of aviation nuts that you will ever meet! This year we arrived three days before the start of Air Venture and the campground was about half full. By the opening day it was close to capacity. This year according to EAA officials was the first time ever, that the campground was full to capacity. They have installed several new restrooms and showers so that helped with the huge crowds. But, with 40,000 campers things can get hectic. The Port-a-poties near our rig were pumped twice a day and kept fresh and clean. Fresh water and pump-outs are available at your site for $20.00 for each service or you can drive to the dump station. When it's dry it does get dusty, but this year the rains kept the dust to a minimum and in our area mud was never a problem. Considering this is a once a year event and that the entire operation from the check-in to check-out is all staffed by volunteers, I think you find that Camp Scholler is a pretty amazing place. After all, it's really all about the airplanes! Also: the friendly bunch of aviation enthusiasts that will be parked next to you. - happyflyer
Sep 2017 - $30.00
This is a hidden gem! Very close to the EAA museum (a must!), shopping and highways. We were here over Labor Day weekend and almost had the place to ourselves. Sites are in the grass, but fairly level. Two camping areas but full hookups were in the trees. Don't plan to be there the last week in July! But do plan to enjoy watching vintage aircraft fly over every day. - Lke
Jun 2017 - $30.00
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Is near the airport but only heard propeller aircraft, no jets. Also could hear I-41 traffic some but not unbearable. Lots of full hookup sites but most are on the grass and in the sun. We had a shaded gravel pad, that could have used more gravel, but it was level. We did have to park the TV in the site next door so it was out of the road. There are no real site boundaries and when full I think units will be very close together. If there are other units there it will be very difficult to maneuver with a big rig. The road through was soft but it has been raining a lot. No one near us when we arrived, or when we left, but needed to use 4 wheel drive to avoid tearing up the grass and road while maneuvering the TT. DW said the restrooms were clean. We used the shower in the RV so don't know about the showers. We were there to do some geocaching and sightseeing so really only used the site for a place to sleep. With FHU for $30 a night it more than served our needs. No fire rings or picnic tables. Trucked our garbage and recycling home since we didn't see any dumpsters. I didn't walk all around so I don't know if there was a playground or anything for kids to do. I think the staff is really working hard to make this a nicer place to stay. I think the area music festivals and the EAA fly-in is where they make their money. For what we needed the site for we would stay there again. - Blu1e
Jun 2017 - $30.00
This is a hard campground to review. The other reviews are too old to be helpful. The campground is open year round. It is walkable only to the EAA, but a lot of shopping and restaurants are nearby including the outlet mall across the highway. All types of sites and cabins are available. The sites at the front are shaded and full hook-up which seems to be rare around Oshkosh. Some are 50 amp, some only 30. The 8 showers are each in individual rooms. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. There was no staff here when we arrived; I think it is only staffed during special events so you need to call ahead. We called and were told to pick a site; they would catch up with us later. They accept only cash or personal checks. Sites were mostly level, grass with some gravel. The campground is one of the quietest we've ever stayed in. There are no child oriented amenities such as a playground. The grounds were clean but overgrown; they mowed most of it while we were here. All the connections worked well. A quiet pleasant stay for us. - Pktva
Aug 2016 - $60.00
Too muddy, too much tree overhang and other debri for big rigs. The mud puddles are mosquito filled. Nasty. They were not happy we decided to stay only one night due to poor conditions. Our tires sank in our supposedly gravel site at least 4 inches! Roads were a tiny bit better, but they desperately need new gravel all over and some tree trimming or clearing out. Lots of junky permanents. Never going back. - amejame
May 2016 - $39.00
The campground staff is amazing! They are extremely friendly, very helpful and so very kind! The campground is always busy with activities for kids and even some for the adults.
The sites are good in size and most have plenty of shade. - Tina_Menasha
May 2016 - $45.00
Everything except equipment rental is included in the overnight rate. You're not bilked to have a good time. It's family owned. There are free crafts and movies. This will be our family favorite from now on. The sites are huge, mostly shady, and dirt. - Tetz
Aug 2016 - $63.00
Chose this campground as it was rated highly by a friend. Owner was arrogant, pricey for what you get. Had to buy wood to get a grill vs a fire ring.
Charged for showers: 3 minutes = 50 cents.
To clean fish: 3 to 4 dollars.
And 5 dollars to dump.
Only thing going for this campground was the view. Won't be back. - M and B
Jun 2016 - $52.00
Sites were unlevel and gravel. Owner made it plain there were no discounts honored. We stayed in pull-through, as we did not want to disconnect tow. Our area had porta potties that were in horrible shape and the smell was intolerable. Electric hookups were in very bad shape and tripped our breakers when we plugged in. Stayed here one night as we were on the road. Beautiful scenery right on the water, but had quite a bit of high grass. This is more of fishing/camping site. Showers and main building were in OK shape. - PTurn85
May 2014 - $45.00
We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, so we should consider ourselves to even find a camping spot on a holiday weekend. When we arrived (9:10 PM) the office at already closed (9:00) for the night. The problem is they do not have any kind of night check-in procedure unlike any of the 50+ campgrounds we have stayed at over the last five years. The office is located in the owners house, so they were quite upset that we bothered them after the office had closed 10 minutes earlier. After we checked in they gave us a map and wished us luck. We had to find the site ourselves in the dark because the "office was closed." Parking was challenging because the sites are very close together and the roads have very tight corners. The lake flies were absolutely terrible and swarmed around us by the thousands. We had a three night reservation, but left left a day early because doing anything outside was not pleasant. We did not try the bathrooms because the walk was too far with all of the lake flies. On a positive note, our neighbors were friendly, the power was reliable, the water was OK, and we had one of the few full hookup sites. Overall, we pretty much disliked the campground and would not stay here again. - User3641
