Check in was fast and easy, with no mention of Wi-Fi service. The interior roads were paved, while the sites were grass and sand. Our site was more sand then grassy. There was a picnic table, on a small concrete pad, and a fire ring. It was to find the connections and easy to get connected. Antenna and satellite TV worked well. We were able to get an open Wi-Fi connection, but it was unknown who it belonged to. The Wi-Fi kept fading in and out, and worked well when we could stay connected. AT&T cell service was terrible, and most times it was non-existent. The sites were very close together, and we ended up with tent campers on both sides. We expected more, for the money we paid, and we were not impressed. We will not return. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

I don't remember what we paid, so the price is probably wrong. This is a typical Wisconsin RV park. Grass (some gravel) sites, and TONS of activities for kids and families. REALLY nice (kinda small, but really nice) pool/splash pad area. Tons of places to setup a volleyball game or throw a frisbee(tm) or football or something. There's also this lagoon with a HUGE inflatable island in the middle of it and tons of tubes and other floating toys for the borrowing. Good stuff. The sites are TIGHT, and the sewer hook up is WAY in the back. I have a 25 foot hose and it was stretched tight. When we pulled in, we couldn't believe the space I needed to back into was actually a campsite. It just looked like a sandy area between two other campers. :) Good thing I'm an RV-backing ninja, so I got it in without a problem, but it REALLY didn't look like a campsite. When the place was full, like it was when we were there, it looks like a festival grounds. trucks, cars, people bikes everywhere. People were cool, though. There is a bar/restaurant that keeps traffic at a steady flow. They have a well stocked store, and showers and whatnot as well. Fire pits are comically small, which is probably good considering how close the sites are. Many of the sites in the are we were in seemed like they were new which made the hookups and whatnot top-notch, so that was cool. Anyway, nice place, just tight and busy, but if you have kids or a family (we don't) it's probably all good. If you're looking for a place to hang out and read a book or something... go before/after the school year. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hit all the Frank Lloyd Wright stuff. Fun/Fascinating/scenic. There's a good (gravel) bike trail a few miles way if you are interested. Take in the local scene. Local brat "fry", fish fry, road side food stands etc. Look for a farmers market to get your campfood, and supplement from the local grocery store.

Sites are tight and only a little gravel and grass. Wifi poor. Good over the air TV. Lots of what appear to be permanent sites that look unkempt. Our site was occupied past the check out time so we were told to find another. They are adding a big area. we probably won't come back. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, close to town yet has a country atmosphere. Some of the gravel/grass sites could be tight if the park was full, but not when we were there in Sept. Park has a nice restaurant, swimming pool, mini-golf, and river activities. Plenty of open grass for kids and dogs to play. We requested a site in the back of the park, because we have 3 dogs. It was like they had their own large back yard (leashed of course). We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Spacious grassy sites each with a fire ring. There are several loops and the tents were mixed with the RVs when we were there. There are some long term seasonal campers by the river in a mix of old travel trailers, single wides and small campers, but it was relatively tidy and away from the campsites. There are only a few riverside sites so reserve early. No ATT cell phone service at all, even in Spring Green. Satellite was good, and wifi was ok during the day but not evenings with higher use. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

On site restaurant and bar were crowded on Friday night. Food was fair, but not praiseworthy. Freddy Valentine restaurant in Spring Green was a good choice.

I gave this a '7' because of all the public activities at the Resort. They have a canoe/kayak rental and guided trip business here also. And the restaurant with outdoor patio and corn hole game on the river are open to the public also.

This can cause congestion and some issues for getting in or out of the campground as you must traverse the public parking lot.

The river is fine for kayaking/canoe. Some current in July but wide, shallow and only one clear channel of deep water- not marked at all. Lots of big sandbars.

Sites are grass and some gravel, but they are level and there are a few smaller trees around for minimal shade. Basically it is a big open field of sites with some paved roads. The pool and restroom/showers and laundry are restricted to campground patrons only. They are all located at the front of the campground so it can be a hike for those in the back.

It was only about 1/4 full when we were here so no problems at all. Showers were nice enough and water pressure was good.

Would stay again but only during the week. Seems groups come on weekends and "party." We were here on a Sunday and Monday. Spring Green is a nice little town and we enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Taliesin: home of Frank L. Wright is a wonderful learning experience and great if you love history or nature. The estate is beautiful and interesting. Tour of house alone seemed pricey until we did it. Well worth the $52 each.

Kayaking the Wisconsin River was good too and no charge for that from the campground beach. The Caves at Blue Mounds are not too far. They are awesome.

Our site was right at the main entrance and even thought there was lots of traffic, it was not that noisy. Fun to watch everyone coming to tube/canoe. The site was narrow but we were with others so we could enjoy there space. There are much larger sites available. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one weekday night the first full week of July. Our site was a level, gravel, FHU pull-through with a 802.11 connection that worked fine for us. There is no cable and only the 5 network over the air TV stations. Our site was satellite TV friendly. More than half the 200+ sites appear to be taken by seasonal or long term customers. Most of those are in the treed section and many would be considered messy and tacky by many of the reviewers on this site. Most of the transient sites are in the open and close to the lodge and pool. There are also some tent sites and cabins. There is a laundry/bathhouse building near the pool that services the transient area. I was bit surprised at how basic this facility was - it was very stark on poorly lit with cement floors and cinderblock walls. The showers were $1 for 6 minutes. There is a similar building in the seasonal area. The pool is decent size and there is a playground for the kids plus a better than average basketball hoop and court. You can easily access the river behind the lodge (they rent some small watercraft). but the river walk was impossible to use because of bugs even in the middle of the day. The lodge has a nice bar and grille and, in contrast to what an earlier reviewer said, what appears to be a large meeting room. This place must be an absolute zoo on summer weekends. I saw no sign of recycling. The park is OK but I doubt that I would return and come this far off the beaten path at this price. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for three nights. The resort has a pool, playground and a nice restaurant/bar which served good food (we had drinks one night and pizza the next). It was early summer so not crowded but the sites were very close and had no trees in our section, so no shade. The ground was level and grassy so it was easy to park. Each site had a fire pit and picnic table on a cement slab with full hook-ups. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is on the outskirts of village of Spring Green on Wisconsin River. Located close to 'House on the Rock' and Taliesin (former home of Frank Lloyd Wright). Many artists in the area.

Camped here in group, so group rate. Sandy sites which tracked into RV. Wifi was terrible and they didn't care. Nonexistent cellphone signal, unless you had U.S. Cellular. Not much to do in this area. No inside room that our group could use due to inclement weather. Would not recommend this park and will not stay here again. Regular rate is overpriced for what you get. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a large multi-purpose facility right along the Wisconsin River. It has a nice Grille, so if you don't feel like cooking you can have a light meal and/or a drink overlooking the river, you can rent tubes & they will shuttle you up river so you can float back down, they have a fun pool that even has a cool "frog slide" for the kids, nice pull thru sites, etc. Again, with the rain in Wisconsin! So, we didn't do any of the fun stuff! However, they are only about a half hour away from The House on the Rock which is really worth the trip, rain or shine! We also drove out to Mazomanie to The Old Feed Mill for dinner, fantastic! We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

We RV'd here on Memorial Day weekend. The resort's overnight full hook-up sites were full and the tents sites about half. There are seasonal sites, most look well cared for. Some appear to not have been opened up yet. The main building includes check in, a well stock store, and a full service restaurant & bar. The food & service was excellent. There are several pull-through sites all the rest are back in. The sites are deep and will fit the longest of units and allow for a vehicle in front. Not many trees but that allows for great satellite reception. There six waterside sites, they are not actually on the Wisconsin River but on shallow, muddy slew. We will camp her again. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice campground, but expensive. Also, they charge a dollar to take a 6 minute shower. Nice restaurant on the grounds. Nice pool. Not much shade on the campground, as the trees are new. Not much to do in the area, unless you are seeing the House on the Rock. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Travel Trailer.
