We stayed here for two nights when in Milwaukee for the Harley Davidson museum. Great location for accessing downtown Milwaukee museums, sports venues, etc. It's more of a large parking lot than a campground, that most people use for 1-2 day stopovers. We had a large FHU site right next to the office and laundry room, which was clean and well-kept. Good wifi signal and cell reception. Close to a highway, but the noise was not an issue for us. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We would return if in the area again. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park worked very well for us. Easy check -in, friendly staff. It's basically a big paved parking lot with hookups. Roomy sites. It's well lighted, you might want to keep your blackout shades closed at night. Security is good, we felt very safe here. Just make sure you pull into your site in the correct direction so the utilities are on the correct side. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Once again we were able to get in here for the final night of our summer trip. We had a tight FHU site that was tight, but manageable. The sewer hookups can be a problem because some are angled. The bathroom and laundry facilities are modern and clean. There are lots of OTA channels and most sites are satellite TV friendly. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great location to downtown but you're not going to get a rustic woodsy camping experience. If you know that going in you'll be fine. It's a large parking lot and spots are very close together. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this RV park to explore Milwaukee area. The park is asphalt surface with painted lines indicating site space. Our site was water & electric only. The sites were very narrow, barely enough space for our tow vehicle. The power and water connections were 2 sites over from ours. Fortunately, we had extra hoses. The laundry was adequate, but very busy. A camper across from us dumped their black water on the asphalt, we reported it and nothing was done about it, disgusting! Overall, it was a convenient place to explore the city. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

It's a large somewhat sloping asphalt parking lot with marked off sites. Sites are wide enough to park a vehicle beside the RV and have plenty of room. Long enough to be fully on the "pad" and not hang out. There is some slope to every site and our site, row F site 1 had a little but didn't require any boards under the tires. The coach leveling system easily leveled. Other sites observed required boards and we saw some tires "in the air". Utilities strangely designed. Sewer connections are at the back of the sites, are raised up a few to several inches and have the bayonet type fittings, the pin end. Unless you have a hose with the clip end on each end of the hose, you can't connect that way. Diameter too small to use a doughnut on the connection. Smooth end of my sewer 90 just stuck into pipe. System doesn't vent well and you will burp some "stuff" out. Our site we were able to run the hose downhill but others looked like having to run up hill. On some sites you have to decide whether you want to run the water/electric or your sewer under the RV. Electric power was good and steady. My water pressure regulator was set for 60 and that's what went to the coach. No trees so satellite will work. RV park wifi reasonably strong. Laundry clean and machines worked well. Didn't use shower but looked clean. Employees at desk seemed uninformed and unmotivated. Very overpriced for what you get but convenient to downtown. Southwest part of the park quieter as it is further from the roads and traffic lights. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park at least 7 times in the past. It is a great location. However it has gone downhill dramatically. The bathrooms are dirty. There are clothes all over the laundry counter. I assume left by someone? There are literally hundreds and hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground in the park. Our site had trash on it when we arrived. We just cannot believe how bad this RV park has become. We don't care how great the location is, we will not be back. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Wisconsin State Fair RV Park is the ONLY RV Park in Metro Milwaukee. It's a poorly paved parking lot. RVs are parked very close together and connections, where they exist, are inconveniently placed. It's filthy with many long-term residents. Some on sites without water and sewer connections. The tenant next to me dumped his tanks on the ground every week and parked his truck in front of my RV's door to hide what he was doing.

The is my first 'Terrible' rating in the ten years I've been submitting. It is sad. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our site was level, although it didn't seem that all sites were. Most sites share connection points so you would be parked front to back with your neighbor. Although the sites are relatively close, there is ample space to park your tow vehicle next to your camper. We were there during a period of extreme heat (over 100) and the park lost power for a few hours one day but our generator kept us cool. Power was restored and there were no other incidents. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Milwaukee. Ten minutes to Miller Park and 15 minutes to downtown. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big asphalt parking lot with more long terners than I would imagine in a state fair rv park. Old dilapidated trailers and obviously no respect as the long termers cut thru your site without any regard to you or your coach. Numerous drive thru police patrols. Laundry facility was clean and all machines were operating. Very convenient to downtown and the only good reason for staying here. Walmart neighborhood market about 3 blocks away. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within 15 minutes. I would not stay here again. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

As noted in other reviews this park is actually a big parking lot with site delineations marked on the pavement - it's all asphalt except for some perimeter grass borders you can walk your pooch in. On the other hand the sites are roomy with room for your tow vehicle, most are pull through sites, the staff is courteous, propane is available, and plenty of garbage bins available. Water was not turned on as the "season" hasn't started (as of 4/12/18). Didn't use laundry but looks like plenty of machines. While I probably wouldn't use this place during the summer (due pavement heat ) and not during their state fair time in August, it actually works well as a stopping spot in this area. For the third or fourth time in the past 15 years, we were able to use this park for a final night of our summer trip because this county fairgrounds facility doesn't usually have anything big going on during the Labor Day Weekend. See my 9/13 review for my best description of the park. We were able to get one of the FHU, pull through sites on the east side of the park. As usual, we were able to use the the Wi-Fi for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. While there are many antenna channels, most sites are satellite friendly. If the park is full, this is a very tightly spaced park. I have always found the utility placement and, especially, the kind of sewer receptacle the site has to often be problematic. If possible, I would check out the assigned site for acceptability of utility placement. The bath and laundry facilities are in the main building that houses the office. They are modern and clean. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I do want to repeat for those who don't know: This park IS NOT in Milwaukee, it is in the suburb of West Allis. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spent about 14 hours here (overnight), so just did the back-in, water/electric spot. This area is on the west side of the park in the "RV overflow" section and so that's what I'm describing here. As others have stated, it's just a parking lot. Electric and water hookups ran along the fence behind your RV. Water hookup was on the opposite side; be sure to bring a long or extra hose. Electric may also end up being on the opposite side depending on which site you are placed in. Based on the lines on the asphalt, the sites are very narrow (especially if you have slides on both sides). If the sites had been full, I have no idea where we would have parked our truck, or our extra vehicle/cycle trailer that we have. I think we ended up taking about 2-2.5 spaces. Also, if the sites had been full and people parked their tow/towed vehicle in front of their RVs, we likely would not have had enough space to get in/out successfully. Based on our angle, we did have to ask the popup across the way to move their truck so we could get out without hitting it. A lot of lights around, which was nice for safety, but very bright at night. The lot was a mess; garbage all over the ground. Staff was very pleasant on the phone; he warned about the interstate construction and gave some tips for the best route. Coming from south of the city, we took I-41 N to I-894 and came in from the west. Google Earth view doesn't show W Kearney St (frontage road) off the exit, but it's there. Exterior roads in were fine to navigate with 40' fifth wheel. Had multiple bars AT&T LTE. If they offered Wifi, I didn't bother trying to connect. The office building which also housed bathrooms, etc. looked fairly new and nice. Based on what was provided, I felt the price was a bit high...but it's a bigger city so not unexpected. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It's all about the location. 10 minutes to downtown and the lakefront, with easy highway access yet no highway noise. It's a large parking lot with a few patches of grass and a few trees. Check-in was smooth and the interior roads are wide enough to navigate without issue. The sites are a little confusing, with painted lines attempting to designate your area. The majority of the sites are side by sides, where you share a utility side and a patio side. The pull-through sites lose some of their attractiveness because they are not long enough to stay attached to your toad. The sites become cramped because the patio area is often used for parking the toad, and if both you and your patio neighbor are doing the same park job, there isn't much room left. Sites are mostly level and drainage was good from lots of rain. The utilities worked fine. WiFi was very good. No cable but over-the-air stations and satellite reception was good. Strong cell signal. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms are dated but fine. The Hank Aaron Trail is just behind the RV park and can take you right downtown to the river walk. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

This basically is a large parking lot. We thought that we were to have a pull through, but, that was not the case as we were assigned a spot. We had requested and paid for full hookups, but, the sewer was situated on the wrong side of our rig so we chose not to hook up. A-2We were situated next to a 5th Wheel occupied by a young man who appeared to be running a motorcycle repair shop. He had a truck and motorcycle parked in our parking space when we arrived. He offered to move his truck but we were able to butt our car up alongside our rig. Lots of noise as he tested the engines he was repairing. Additionally, we were up against a carnival for an event at the fairgrounds and the music was blaring into the night. We needed to be near Milwaukee to pick up our son at the airport so we made do. Sometimes, as an RVer, you just have to keep your sense of humor!! We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.
