Nice lakeside park. I don't know where the issues arose with those who complained about both rudeness and "rules". The management was pleasant and we neither saw or experienced any issues with rules. Yes there is the usual signage and handout about do's and don'ts, but that is at all parks.

Family oriented: large beach and playground for kids. Quiet sites. Yes we'd stay again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a family oriented park. Nice lake with fishing. Site was not level. Had picnic table and fire ring. Staff friendly and helpful. Able to get satellite and good Verizon. Lots of families for Memorial Day weekend, but the park was quiet. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Scenic campground with some sites around the lake. Some sites are a bit tight and many are roomy (we were in a tight site but no one in the site next to us. Grounds are very well maintained. Dirt/gravel roads. Grass sites. I have read some reviews on this park and some people don't like the idea that they have you sign an acknowledgement about quiet hours, visitors, etc. Didn't bother. I don't mind abiding by the rules. If you come here to party you probably won't like it. This is the first campground I have stayed at that requires you to pay for shower (25 cents for 10 minutes.) I guess it would probably reduce the time folks just stand in the shower and let it run; or walk away with the shower running. This is the best wi-fi we have had at several parks. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this campground as our base while attending the West Bend Geocaching Bash. It is an older campground with some sites more level than others, and some with more maneuverability than others. Sites are a mix of gravel and grass and can be narrow or roomy. It really is a toss up! The beach is a local favorite and you'll find a lot of families using the area during summer days. We didn't mind the rules; figure they have to do this to maintain the park as well as they do. Owner let us trim the branches that were hitting the top of our motorhome which we appreciated. Rate reflects a weekly rate. Electricity was extra (for us about $21 for the week). We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is quite popular among local families who visit the beach on weekends. Perhaps it is because of the mixed group (i.e., bathers and campers) that the owners impose such strict rules on visitors. We were in the area to see old friends. Despite our friends' advanced age, the owners made them park their vehicle by the office and walk a few hundred yards to our campsite. The same thing happened to the RVers next to us. In addition, any visitor must leave the campground by 7:30 PM. We were told that there was Wi-Fi, but none could be detected at our site. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake is nice, but sites leave much to be desired. Management is a stickler about the " rules" and become almost psychotic if a rule is inadvertently broken! If your are staying in your camper, have no visitors and go to bed about 9:30 you just may be able to stay in the campground. Wi FI is intermittent, camp sites are irregular shaped. Ours had a dirt patio that became mud in the rain. but never fear, the rule is you may have a large mat for 3 days, then you need to switch to a small mat. Lots of threatening small signs posted through out the campground. The natural beauty is wonderful, but the man made rules will keep me away!! We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground with large sites and plenty of trees. Nice lake with beach and fishing. It's on the outskirts of town but yet away from traffic noise. Well maintained and friendly folks in the office. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Good campground, not immaculate but very clean and some very nice spots. The rules are pretty tight, but that might be one thing that makes the campground as nice as it is. I would certainly come back and recommend this campground. Especially, for those with kids, the lake is pretty fun. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an old campground! The lake is very close to some of the sites and breading mosquitoes rapidly. The bathhouse only has one shower per and very little to make it handy. The shower takes a quarter to get the hot water running. There is old rusty metal in the overgrown wooded areas, that shouldn't be climbed on by children. The bath house attached to the office is slightly better, but still very old and not clean. Take your own paper towels and maybe even toilet paper on your trips to the bath house. We will not stay here again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This was a nice campground. Everyone was respectful and friendly. The kids really enjoyed the lake. The only negative was that the quiet hours started at 9 p.m which was a little early for a weekend. All of the campers seemed to follow the rules, which was refreshing compared to other campgrounds we've been to. I would recommend this campground for a nice, relaxing weekend. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This is a good park. They do have a lot of rules but it is just to keep the park nice and peaceful for all. Very quiet and peaceful. Stayed here a week, wish it could have been longer. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We were in town for the annual geocachers Cache Bash. We chose this property because it had some of the best reviews and was closest to the location of the event that we were attending. The rules are terribly strict and evidently don't apply to everyone. Several people had 2 cars to a site when we were told that we could not park our 2nd vehicle onsite. We were even told how to park the one vehicle that could remain on our site. When I called to reserve we were told we wouldn't have to pay for all 4 children to stay, but when I reserved the site, I had to pay. $68/night is ridiculous for something that hasn't been updated since 1970. The pay shower was horrible: the water smelled like rotten eggs. We will be in town again, but will never stay at this campground. The only thing it has going for it was the location and it was maintained fairly well. Update the facilities if you're going to charge a premium to camp at your facility and don't be so crazy about the rules. You have to sign a piece of paper saying you understand and have read the rules. The owners seem to be control-freaks. After getting home and taking two of the children to the doctor for an illness that was caught while in the campground, we found that the smell from the hot water in the showers was actually from bacteria in the water. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lenwood is a very large campground that surrounds a lake with a good-sized recreational beach and playground areas. There were a large number of seasonal campers. Overall, Lenwood's location is good, but is not a very well kept or organized campground for the price they charge. W/E/S site cost $41. Lakeside sites were $10 more. Our utilities worked OK as did the Wi-Fi. Our campsite was on a treed hillside, but a number were located in a lower marshy area by the lake. If this summer had not been the drought of the century, I'm sure the mosquito population would have been quite intimidating. The worst pests while we were there were the biting deer flies that would land on your legs, arms or neck. They were especially bad if you tried to go outside in early morning or where there was no breeze. There was a small restroom/shower building with one side for men & the other for women. Each consisted of 2 toilets, 1 sink and 1 shower that cost a quarter for 10 minutes of hot water. The windows were always shut so the water heater on the wall made the place feel like a sauna. The water had that rotten egg smell when hydrogen sulfide gas seeps into rural groundwater systems. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

I only have good things to say about the owner and the park. Owner even offered a hose so I could clean the dust off my coach. I could not find the swamp that the other reviewer talked about. I only saw a sweet lake. I would stay here again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times before when visiting West Bend and we've never been disappointed. This time we were back to visit relatives and attend the West Bend Cache Ba$h. The owners are helpful and friendly and they are meticulous about caring for the park. Wi-Fi is strong and the utilities are solid. There are many trees to provide shade, but several sites are open enough for satellite reception. Verizon, Sprint and ATT were all strong. This park is, by far, the best in the area and we'll be back. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.
