Lovely, well-maintained park. The owners are very friendly and responsive to requests. No issues getting our 42' RV into our site. The main roads are tightly-packed gravel with no potholes. Tons for kids to do at this park. We would definitely return. Hook-ups were easy. Water has high iron content. Lots of walking trails, pond for swimming. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like Mexican food, we recommend Casa Tequila in downtown West Bend. Their food was good and close to what we were used to in Arizona.

Our advice, unless you just need a place to park your camper, and not do anything else, stay away from this place. We paid $36 per night but then had to pay for the electric we used. At that rate, I would not expect to be billed separately for electric. Office folks are great, and friendly but the rules are too inflexible. Which part of insane rules enforcement should I quote. Visitors who wanted to pick us up for dinner were told they had to pay $5 to be allowed back. After they paid they were told they could park in the lot by the office and call us to pick them up, but could not drive back to pick us up. Only 1 car allowed on a site, but seasonal folks had up to 4. The WiFi was useless, even with a WiFi Ranger booster we couldn't stay connected. When our friends came to see our new motorhome, we had to go up front and pick them up because they could not drive back, even after paying. Our neighbor had his daughter, her husband and 2 grandchildren and was told they had to leave because they only allow 2 visitors to a site. Seem to forget that rule on the weekend when seasonal folks showed up with large groups. While the office folks were nice when I called to reserve a site, it really became interesting once I paid. I should have realized when they gave me a car tag and I said I'd set it on the dash because the mirror won't allow a tag to fit. Immediately they put tape on the tag and said "NO, you have to have it in the window." Really? Need to disconnect your toad? Go to the "designated area", disconnect call the office and wait for them to lead you to your site. It is a shame because the park is well located, but management needs a course in customer service and some reasonable rules. I'm all for rules to keep a site nice, lower noise levels, and such, but in our over 45 years of camping I've never experienced the negativity of this park, especially from a couple that truly seems to friendly. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is easy to get to just off a state highway outside of West Bend. Upon check in the staff was friendly and helpful. We were given a map of the campground, and directions to our site, and a list of park rules. The roads are gravel but not full of holes. The grounds are well maintained and the grass mowed. Our site was grass and easy to back into. It was off level, side to side, but not enough that our auto leveling wouldn't work. The electric and sewer were well placed but the water was at the very back of the site so needed two 25ft hoses. The sites are close together with grass between sites. The neighbors fire pit seemed kind of close to our site and they are not movable. I did not use the restrooms or showers while there. Several past reviews have been harsh because of the rules. To us the rules did not seem extensive or excessive. It's nice to go to a campground and not have to worry about rowdy neighbors, especially since the sites are close together. There is a beach and picnic area that appeared clean and well maintained though we didn't use the area. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped for 10 days. Most sites including ours were back- in. Our site was gravel and lake-side (extra fee for lake-side). Plenty of non lake-side sites with a lake view (grass not gravel). Site includes picnic table and fire ring and was spacious. Full hookups - electric, water and sewer. Bathrooms dated but very clean. Owners very friendly, and helpful. Park includes swimming beach with picnic area and fishing pier (catch and release only). Shore fishing area also. Paddle boats and kayaks and row boats available for rental. Short hiking trails on premises. Park is pet friendly but pets not allowed in beach/picnic area. Location is a short drive to other small town getaways, state parks and Lake Michigan. We hiked in Kettle Moraine North. Owners go to great lengths in maintaining the property. Park was clean and well landscaped. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Been camping many years, at many camp grounds and find this is our favorite. If you are the whoop howling brawling camper, this isn't the place for you. We love the safe family feel, great fishing and swimming lake. They have rental boats and paddle boats. The rules are clearly stated when entering the park, by LARGE signs indicating that you must register and not to go beyond this point if you aren't registered and they do give out the rules to everyone knows what to expect. They have a wonderful beach, park and play ground for the kids. Safety rules are high on a list for good reason. We find this is a great campground close to the best hiking, biking and the best parks you will see anywhere. Depends what site you are on, for the most part almost all have electrical. Don't pass this campground up, it is a great place and the owners really put much effort to make this park safe, clean and enjoyable to all. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over memorial day weekend and again a few weekends later in a 37 foot class A motor home. We had a nice site it was on gravel and was fairly level. The campground was very nicely maintained and the owners very friendly. Many people camped in tents and a variety of campers and many stayed out late by their campfires. Everyone was very respectful and quiet at night and you would never even know they were out there. It had a nice playground and a great beach with swimming. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely visit again We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

The owner, could not have been nicer. Allowed us to extend our stay beyond his seasonal closing date. He assisted with the back in. At our particular site, our tow vehicle did not park on the campsite. He spoke to us and wished us well upon our departure. We don't mind rules. In fact, we wish more campgrounds enforced the rules they have. Rules make for a pleasant camping experience for everyone. Utilities and wifi worked great! One of the nicest parks we have ever stayed in. Lush green grass level sites with mature trees around a spring-fed glacial lake. 20, 30 and 50 amp with full hookups. Family owned and meticulously groomed. Very family oriented with beautiful beach for swimming, boating, fishing. We'll definitely be back. Nice lakeside park. I don't know where the issues arose with those who complained about both rudeness and "rules". The management was pleasant and we neither saw or experienced any issues with rules. Yes there is the usual signage and handout about do's and don'ts, but that is at all parks.

Family oriented: large beach and playground for kids. Quiet sites. Yes we'd stay again. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this campground as our base while attending the West Bend Geocaching Bash. It is an older campground with some sites more level than others, and some with more maneuverability than others. Sites are a mix of gravel and grass and can be narrow or roomy. It really is a toss up! The beach is a local favorite and you'll find a lot of families using the area during summer days. We didn't mind the rules; figure they have to do this to maintain the park as well as they do. Owner let us trim the branches that were hitting the top of our motorhome which we appreciated. Rate reflects a weekly rate. Electricity was extra (for us about $21 for the week). We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Scenic campground with some sites around the lake. Some sites are a bit tight and many are roomy (we were in a tight site but no one in the site next to us. Grounds are very well maintained. Dirt/gravel roads. Grass sites. I have read some reviews on this park and some people don't like the idea that they have you sign an acknowledgement about quiet hours, visitors, etc. Didn't bother. I don't mind abiding by the rules. If you come here to party you probably won't like it. This is the first campground I have stayed at that requires you to pay for shower (25 cents for 10 minutes.) I guess it would probably reduce the time folks just stand in the shower and let it run; or walk away with the shower running. This is the best wi-fi we have had at several parks. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake is nice, but sites leave much to be desired. Management is a stickler about the " rules" and become almost psychotic if a rule is inadvertently broken! If your are staying in your camper, have no visitors and go to bed about 9:30 you just may be able to stay in the campground. Wi FI is intermittent, camp sites are irregular shaped. Ours had a dirt patio that became mud in the rain. but never fear, the rule is you may have a large mat for 3 days, then you need to switch to a small mat. Lots of threatening small signs posted through out the campground. The natural beauty is wonderful, but the man made rules will keep me away!! We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is quite popular among local families who visit the beach on weekends. Perhaps it is because of the mixed group (i.e., bathers and campers) that the owners impose such strict rules on visitors. We were in the area to see old friends. Despite our friends' advanced age, the owners made them park their vehicle by the office and walk a few hundred yards to our campsite. The same thing happened to the RVers next to us. In addition, any visitor must leave the campground by 7:30 PM. We were told that there was Wi-Fi, but none could be detected at our site. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.
