The park was very clean. While the seasonal sites were on the middle level, the transient sites were at the top of the hill with a beautiful view. It was easy to park with plenty of room and easy access to utilities and water. The camp includes a lake, and a long hiking trail which ends at a 40 acre refuge for birds. It is just half a mile from the 400 bike trail. We have traveled quite a bit in our RV but have never met such friendly accommodating owners. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

The views from the hilltop sites are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in a campground. Since it is on a hilltop there is a pretty steep climb to the site but it is paved and has a few switchbacks to break up the climb. Be very careful when checking in at the office at the rear of the restaurant as there are some large dips in the parking lot. Large enough to high center some rigs. These are paved dips to try to control water running down off the hill. Grass pull-thru sites are parallel to the drive, which gives the best views but may require a little jockeying to get positioned. Water pressure seemed a little weak. Nothing much near by, town of Wonewoc doesn’t have much to offer, had to drive 12 miles to Reedsburg to find a decent grocery. We didn't try the restaurant, looked at the menu and didn't see anything healthy listed. We stayed here to visit the Wisconsin Dells. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

The facilities, pool, showers, etc., were quite a hike from our spot at the top of the hill, but other sites might be closer. We had one of the very large pull throughs, these are parallel sites, so no one is on either side, just to the back or rear. We had spot 64 which is very satellite friendly and with plenty of room that was all ours. All of the sites on the hill are the same. The whole park was very peaceful. No road noise. We would stay here again. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site, 38 and 38B, was probably one of the nicest sites we've ever stayed in, lots of room and nice shade. We didn't need our awning or screen room - there were no mosquitoes and few stinging insects. The staff made our family reunion camp out exceptional and were very accommodating. Some of us were camping and some were in cabins. I didn't try the food but others in a group did and said it was good. They had some essentials in the store. Therer is a grocery 5 minutes in town plus a farmers market. The pool looked nice, and the kids enjoyed it. The grounds were immaculate and campground very well laid out, seasonal sites were very well maintained. There is some road noise if you are in a tent. I would stay here again if in the area. It took us 30 minutes to get to the Dells area. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we ever stayed at. The pool was clean, the showers were clean, and everyone that worked at this campground are so nice. We loved the restaurant; they had prime rib on Saturday. For some reason this campground has no mesquitos thank god, I think because you're not camping in a valley, you're on the side of a hiil overlooking the Baraboo river. The sites are very big. We have been camping here the last 5 years, and look forward to coming back in 07.ps your only 20min.from Wisconsin Dells. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground situated on the side of a hill, with lovely views of the Baraboo River valley. There are shaded sites in an older section and partial shade and some unshaded in the newer sections. The campground pads are either gravel or grass, but there was no problem with mud and we were there after a heavy rain. The interior roads were either paved or gravel, and in good condition. The shower house was immaculate, and the groundskeping was impressive. The campground also has a restuarant that has a buffet Wednesday through Sundays, and the prices are quite reasonable. There is a swimming pool, a game room, and you can rent canoes or bikes. The "400" state bike trail is just down the road on state highway 33, with a trail head parking area right there. You're about 12 miles from Elroy, the start of the Elroy-Sparta trail, and about 1/2 an hour from Baraboo and the Dells. The campground owner and hosts were very nice and accommodating. This campground is worth a return trip. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.
