Very pretty park; well-maintained. We were allowed to pick our spot, which was backed up against a nice trail and open field. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice older park. Lots of shade trees. It was recommended by a friend as the nicest park in Buffalo. We stayed here for one night in a motor home. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We really enjoyed this little town. We ate dinner at a Mexican Restaurant on the Creek in downtown. The food was very good. Enjoyed the Longmire paraphernalia throughout the town. Would love to attend the Longmire festival. Cute shop with local arts & crafts. We even found a geocache or two here. Had a wonderful time!

This was more expensive than I usually pay but this was probably the best RV Park in town with FHUs. Good elect., water, sewer cable and wifi, fairly level backin shady site. We enjoyed watching deer and turkey every day in RV Park. The town was very unique. Longmire Headquarters if you watch Net flick. We were here 4 nights. We had planned to go to Cody and up the Beartooth Hwy but the snow closed the Hwy so we went east from here. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park would have gotten a higher rating if the lanes and sites had not been so muddy with the rain. We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was easy. Staff were very nice. Winter has hit WY early and we are here at the end of Sept with a lot of rain. This is a large grassy park with lots of big trees. Very pretty. Only problem is that it has been a long time since new gravel was put down so with rain, our site and the areas around us were big puddles and mud. Lanes within the park are easy to navigate a big rig. Sites are long with big grass area on both sides. Site includes a picnic table. Utilities worked well. AT&T Cell worked well. Verizon Broadband worked well. Cable TV was very nice. No problem using the Satellite. Deer and wild turkeys roam all over. There is no fenced dog park. So walking the dogs with deer and turkey poop all over - especially in the rain - was a challenge. Looked like a nice small pool area. Would like to return to this RV park for a much longer stay and earlier in the summer next time. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Do not eat at the Busy Bee cafe next to Occidental Hotel for lunch. Food had no flavor and waitress obviously dislikes her job. Disappointing.

Made a last minute reservation and we enjoyed our single night stay. Check in was smooth and were escorted to our site, very friendly staff. Our pull through site was nice and all connections were fine. AT&T cell worked well, 4 bars T-Mobile and 3 Verizon. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Great mature park with one of the bigger pools we've come across. Great big sites with green grass and picnic tables. Nice people, both employees and other campers. Boys loved the night ice cream and being able to ride their bikes. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Wish we would have stayed for a few more nights between Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore. Great place for the kiddos to unwind and recover from the sightseeing before moving on to the next sightseeing.

Nice park with lots of trees and green grass. Utilities worked well, though water pressure was a bit low. Pool is not that large and a bit cold but good for a hot day dip. Mosquitoes can be an issue as there is a lot of standing water in the area surrounding the park. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

built on a small hill there is an upper section and lower section. Lower seems to be a bit more spacious. Lots of people used this for over night stay without disconnecting.

As others have said, restrooms were very clean. Our site was a pull-through and we had plenty of room for our 45' 5th wheel and Freightliner. We only stayed overnight, but we'd definitely come back again when coming through the area. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

You can walk through the field on a mowed path to Winchester Steak House, took less than 5 minutes. We had a nice dinner there, and they have several specials each night of the week.

This park was first rate in all respects. We were there for two nights in June 2017, and really enjoyed our stay. The sites are large for large rigs, and the roads are wide making getting into your spot easy. Not right next to your neighbors. Great WiFi, and staff was awesome. We can't wait to come back for another visit! We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We like this park for a 1 to 2-night stay. It is easily located off I-90 and then Hwy 16. Sites are located in the trees and there is a nice front park and walking trail. The park has a small heated pool, and offers an ice cream social time during the summer on the porch of the office. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

There are numerous restaurants on the same highway. A couple of grocery stores are in town also. There are some fun canyon roads to drive with a 4WD vehicle in the area - Crazy Woman Canyon is one.
