This is a forest service campground in the Snowy Mountians. Access road off of hwy 130. There are about 2 miles of gravel road to the campground. Our 32' rig fit but I would not have wanted to have anything bigger. Beautiful location with good hiking trails. - Bobmurphy

Definitely rustic and not well suited to anything much over 30 ft. Electric only and the outlets are at the backs of the sites. Nice to be close to the river but the cabins occupy most of the river front. Dump station is on the wrong side and it is not easy to turn around within the campground. All that said, the setting is beautiful and the folks are friendly. The store's stock is not extensive by you won't starve if you get here with no food. The drive from here up to Foxpark and on to Steamboat Springs is lovely, but that's another story. - oldmac

The park is very rustic. The web site says 10 RV sites, but they only rent out 5 back-in somewhat unlevel sites probably because they are so short. It is very windy there. The electricity connections were fine (30 amp only), but there is only one water spigot so you have to fill your tank on arrival. There is one shower/restroom (each) that is shared with all the rustic cabins they rent; it has heat and a good, clean shower. With an extremely long motorhome sticking out into the park roadway and cabin residents' trucks parked here and there, it was difficult to get out when we left, going out by the highway to turn around, then returning to use the RV dump (which was on the wrong side of the road) and have to circle back through to go out the second time. They have very odd arrangements. There is a store and a café/dance hall (which we did not visit). There is nothing much to do here unless you go fishing or to Laramie about 30 miles away. Neither Verizon nor AT&T work here. They do have good, secure Wi-Fi. We were here to bicycle on the nearby Medicine Bow Rail Trail. We stayed there in a 30’ rig. We would not stay here again. - ouachita princess
