We have stayed at this park 3 times. Front office is always great. They held a delivery from FED EX for me and offered to deliver it to our site after we got set up. All hook ups worked well and were located where they should be (no long distance). We stayed in the back with pull through sites. Cable worked well. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are two sections to this park. The older, rougher front section, and the newer longer pull throughs in the back. This place is ok for an overnight if you must stay in Cheyenne, but I would not go out of my way to stay here again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

An older park but pretty well maintained. The owners were very nice and helpful. We arrived in the middle of a tornado warning and they directed us to a basement for safety. They have a BBQ restaurant onsite that serves good food. The campground is near both I-25 and I-80. Wi-Fi and cable are both good. Most sites are pull throughs, which is nice. We would stay here again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly with level sites. WiFi, laundry, and showers were good. Easy on/off I25. Both of the two small dog parks required maintenance because the grass was so tall it was difficult to clean up. Campground was good to walk the dog. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart and downtown was less than 10 miles but easy drive. Capital was under renovation to the original historic building. Several downtown western museums were worth a visit, reasonable cost or free.

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Park is big rig friendly/ level and shaded sites in the north section/ good WIFI/restaurant onsite/ easy in easy out. Good Verizon. Good cable tv plus satellite access. Big trees for summer shade. Sites are close to each other, long enough for rig and toad. Park could use a lot more gravel. Sites were very muddy with the rain. Gravel with grass on each side. Small fenced dog run at very back of north section. Good utilities. No pool. Would return in order to do some site seeing. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It's just right for a night stopover if you are heading North from Denver and need a convenient place. BBQ food was good enough, nothing fancy. Sites close together and not far from the road. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a Good Sam park but they do not honor it for tents. They have tent sites all along the edge, but we were the only ones in a tent. Otherwise it looked like you would be very close to your neighbors. The restroom facilities were clean and adequate. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Tent.

Very good Internet service. Spaces were tight and roads were tight. Our reservations were not in order when we arrived, however, they worked very professionally to make sure we got a site that would work. Friendly staff. A restaurant is attached to the office. I would stay at this park again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Busy little park. Almost all spaces are pull thrus, which is great. Lots of RVs checking in at the same time, and they got all of us taken care very efficiently. After we got set up, we ate in their BBQ restaurant and it was DELICOUS!!! My husband had a combination plate of pulled beef and ribs and I had the pulled pork sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. They were helpful in guiding us to the tourist attractions in town. Their internet connection is great too...very fast. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

WIFI unusable except at pre dawn hours. Verizon cell signal was 1x which is also unusable. Sites are super close together. 10 or less. Cable was satisfactory. 23 channels. Quiet at night. Not worth the $46 a night. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mid afternoon we called and reserved a pull thru site for the night. Electric only was all that was available. The site, and several others, are on a worn strip of lawn next to the main camp road. It was difficult to get our travel trailer level enough so that I didn't have to worry about the refrigerator being to far out of plumb. The temperature was such that it would have been cool enough to sleep with the windows open. We had to close the windows and turn on the AC because of all the barking dogs, in the campground. 11PM and something just set off the barking again. This place is better than stopping at a Walmart and setting up our generator, but not by much. Were we in one of the full hook up real pull thru sites I would have rated the park a 5. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

1st site S18 would not work b/c utilities were on wrong side for dropping camper and pulling out. Very courteous in moving us. 2nd site M18, said it was a concrete pad but it was only concrete runners. Our dually tires would not fit on Runners. They were too close together and not wide enough for the dual tires. Owner said that would have been ok b/c you don't really need all the tires for support anyway. Really? Why have duallys then? Final Y20. End of a row, no picnic table or fire ring-no room. Very close (10') to road on a curve. This is in older campground that has not had money reinvested in. Showers and bathroom clean (as they brag, but isn't that expected?) but dated and the stall doors leave big gaps when they are closed. This is not a campground for camping. There were no fires allowed ever (no so'mores, no hamburgers/steak/hot dogs, no sitting by the fire) and no picnic table on most sites because there is no room. There are a lot of extended stay campers who are working locally. Serves the purpose for a 1 night stay/place to sleep. My major complaint is we got charged the same price as a large camper on a larger site with picnic table. There were other sites available, but we felt that because we were a small unit, a truck camper, they only wanted us on a small site so as to save a bigger site, which several were available, just "in case" someone came in. Even tho we had reservations. Price should have been adjusted. Wifi was very weak and very slow when it did connect. I guess they were accommodating (although with snide remarks-asked if I ever owned an Air Stream because they can't be pleased either). Mostly upset about the cost/value ratio for our puny site when better sites were available, and still empty the next morning. They have high ratings - I guess your opinion depends on what you are used to. If you have never stayed at a truly nice campground, then you may rate this higher. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

The restaurant had great pulled pork and ribs! "Homemade" pies are a stretch (boxed choco pudding in a store bought crust..). Reviewers say the sites are very close and even hard to get in and out of, yet give it 4 stars? In our opinion, this is a below average campground, better than a Wal-Mart parking lot, but not worth the price of $46.

This RV park is nice but it is not an easy one for larger rigs, in our opinion. We saw larger rigs at the park, but the roads are tight and the sites are close together. They also have trees that are too close to the sites and the sites are narrow. There are some sites that are easier for big rigs. Sites S19 through S26 looked more suitable. We had site S13. We asked to have some limbs trimmed and they came out and did so. On the plus side, the internet was good and the park was nicely kept. There is a small dog run. A few blocks down the road, there is access to a trail system. Very nice place to run, walk or bike. Easy access off I25. We will look for another place to stay when we come to Cheyenne again although the choices are limited. We prefer wider sites and roomier roads. Smaller rigs would not have any issue at this park. We have a 40 foot Class A. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

While this park is not in a scenic area (about 1-1/2 miles east of I25 on south side of Cheyenne) it has a lot to offer - easy to navigate interior roads, level pull through sites easy to park at, plenty of grass for pets, and the best WIFI signal we've had in several weeks of touring. One gripe- the sewer pipe was fairly far forward in our site (we didn't hook up until leaving as we wanted to leave our tow vehicle attached and we couldn't have if we'd hooked up the sewer). Price was also good and they appeared to have good showers, restrooms, and laundry although we didn't use any. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
