We camped here for one night, which turned out to be a disaster. They have a posted sign that everyone must check into the office prior to coming on the property but they do not enforce that rule. Consequently, some crooks were allowed in and they stole jewelry from us. The management was shocked but made an off the cuff comment that while this has never happened before guess "we were the lucky ones". They did nothing to make us feel better. The park itself is OK, site was wide and level. Small store. Park itself is in the middle of nowhere and primarily good for an overnight stop as it is close to the highway. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The nearby Flying J was extremely congested and the RV pumps required pre-pay inside - no pay-at-the-pump.

With a complete gravel lot with a few trees here and there...this park doesn't pretend to be more than an overnight stop...or maybe a couple of days for those visiting Cheyenne. But we kinda liked it a lot...since they set out to do the things that matter to such customers....right.
The gravel is small and uniform and flat. The services at each site are well maintained & the cable and internet worked well. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and the front desk gave us a nice welcome.
I thought it was about $10 bucks too pricey for the location and the facilities...but it met our expectations and would overight here again. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Spent one night on July 4th enroute to South Dakota. Campsite is great for one night stops or short stays; close to I-80, but traffic noise is minimal. A Pilot Travel Center is at the same exit and Walmart is 2-3 miles away. Sites are gravel and level with minimal to no shade. Sites are easy in and out. Staff was helpful and friendly; was not escorted to our site, but it was not a problem. Amenities adequate and clean. We would camp here again. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Pull through site was a little tight for a 41 foot MH towing. Staff was very good and helpful in relocating us to a site that was a little longer. Hard gravel but not all that dusty. Wifi worked as the cg was not very filled, upon filling wifi became iffy... We would return for a overnight stay. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

One night stop. Big and wide and all gravel. Water system was a little weird as we had to get into a box to connect it and that wasn't easy. Sites are wide but are all gravel so one site to the next is hard to define. We'll use this campground again as we travel through the area. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

A little higher priced, but nice campground. Sites were all large, all gravel, dusty, as the wind was blowing quite hard. Restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Able to get several stations on air antenna. Wifi ok. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Did not use them, but the pool and miniature golf looked nice. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground is overpriced! There is nothing special about it or the area to justify $51 for a night for water and electric site. Sites are a nice width but very little shade. It was over 100 degrees the day we stayed, which is typical for the summer months. Restrooms clean but dated. Nice spray from the shower head. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the Cheyenne KOA in June in a 5th wheel. We had a electric, water and cable site near the tent area. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The sites are quite wide but can be a little short and it is a little hard to see exactly how the sites are marked side to side. All utilities worked well no problems and there are plenty of areas to walk the dogs. The campground is clean, everything works and is good for an overnight stop. The interstate is very close and can be noisy. But all in all a good stop, we have been here several times before and will be back. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Large pull-thru gravel site accommodated my motorhome and tow car for an overnight stop. I was able to get in and out of the site without unhooking. Clear sky for satellite use. Staff was very friendly. Even considering all the positives, I felt that the rate of $48.00 (less 10% for my KOA membership) for a water/electric site was a bit high compared with other KOAs of similar quality I've stayed at. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Sites are all gravel (large gravel) so clean. Long pull throughs. Sites include picnic table. We had end site 36 which had a nice tree and was more spacious. Wifi worked good. Numerous over the air channels but must use cable to receive NBC. Surge suppressor tripped power off twice. Prior to trip off noted one leg of 50 AMP service at 131 volts, other leg at 117 volts. Not sure if even higher voltage on one leg caused surge suppressor to trip power off. Fenced dog park with pea gravel. Some highway and train noise but not objectionable. Small individual shower rooms. Large Pilot station with RV lanes nearby. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

The park facilities are very clean and neat. The park is all gravel and even when it rains it is not too messy. The rate is a monthly rate. Utilities were good. The managers were friendly and helpful. There is more than the usual space between sites but it is a commercial park so you are lined up with your neighbors. Trees are scatter about the park but most would not interfere with satellite reception. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

It's ok. Big rigs can land here with room to spare. All gravel. Truck stop next door. Safe and clean place to stay. Their website kinda makes it look like an RV resort. Hmmm... Not so much. But nice place. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean and well run KOA. The only things keeping it from a higher rating is the fact it is close to the highway, so there is some noise, and the rate seems a little high. It is very easy in and out and easy access to propane purchases. The sites are level gravel, most have a tree, and have a picnic table. The managers told us that 98% of their business is overnight travelers, so there is quite a bit of in and out traffic. We stayed for 3 nights. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty to do in Cheyenne, visit the Visitor Center at the Depot and tour the museum. Ride the trolley for a 90 min tour of town and a narration of Cheyenne history. We also visited the State Capitol building and toured the old Govenors Mansion, very interesting!
