We stopped here due to it being a passport America park. They were full so they did not have a sewer site for us but we did stay in the field next to the park in the " full timers" section. we had 30 amp power and water. We may have been given this site due to us paying 1/2 price only ! Not sure but at any rate, we were by ourselves, with open sites between us and the other folks so it was fine. I would definitely recommend going to the bar/ restaurant on site, it is very convenient and good. We have stayed here in years prier and have gone on horse back rides also I think it is worth the extra mileage from 80 to stop here, we did have some road noise at night, but not too bad . We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed 2 nights. Could only give above rating because campground itself overpriced (PA price is only applicable one night but helped). Sites are very close together (can't possibly make campfire without burning down something and sewer hose of neighbor right next to our motorhome). Although it is very clean the campground is a bit rundown. That said, it's a shame because the ranch itself is delightful, the staff is wonderful, and the restaurant/bar on site has excellent bison burgers and steaks. There are ranch tours and horseback riding, and a unique playground/rides for kids that is active in summer. With a little work I think the campground could be "spruced up", not "resort" just a little less sad. Would definitely consider returning. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a unique place. It is a working bison, cattle and other animals ranch. SItes are close together. Park is all dirt and has plenty of flies... Close to the main road so there is a lot of truck noise. Park is run down and needs a lot of TLC. There are many seasonal rigs and messy sites. There is a resteraunt (Senator) or site that has some interesting food choices all not bad quality or price. Significant sized camp store. Park wifi did not work. Verizon cell service was fine. Satellite tv was easy to hook up. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were disappointed with Cheyenne and thrilled with Fort Collins. Supplies are not to far in either direction and ample. Seeing Buffalo at the ranch was fun and majestic. Sunsets are very nice

I was in site 74. Voltage at pedestal was very high and my Progressive Electrical Mgmt. System shut down power to my motorhome when it reached 134. This occurred at least once a night, each day I was there. Before reporting it to office, I plugged EMS into elec. pedestals at empty sites & got the same reading. Office was very nice & said they would phone power co. & have them correct it. I hope they do. There's lots to do here. Not what I would call a resort; gravel sites, pretty close together, few trees. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed during Cheyenne Frontier Days so the prices were higher than regular and the park was packed. The regular rate would have been a fair price to pay but jacked up for Frontier Days. Had a lot to do at the park for kids and grownups. We did have a good dinner there at Senators Steakhouse. We also took the train to feed the bison which was corny but fun. The spaces are so close to together however it made it less enjoyable than it should have been. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

A little further from town than I like. Bison Train ride was nice for me but I suggest you look into the fields to make sure Bison are close. The onsite restaurant, the Senator, was pricey. Not enough washers/dryers in laundry. Showers and restrooms were nice. Looks like some permanent residents reside here (lots of stuff at some sites). Overall, site was satisfactory. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Curt Gowdy State Park while in the area. Great campsites around a lake if you don't mind the distance from town. Many museums and sites are free. Wyoming State Museum was nice. State Capital is presently being renovated and not open to visitors.

This park is very near I-25 and south of town. We heard loud traffic noise continuously night and day. The full hook-up RV sites are gravel, closely spaced without any shade. Some have picnic tables. The water/electric sites are grass with some shade trees. There is no WIFI currently available at the sites reportedly due to storm damage. The restrooms and showers are very nice and clean which lots of hot water. The best feature of this park is the many animals: horses, donkeys, ostriches, alpacas, camels, goats. Most of the bison are far away but there were a few close to the road when we drove in. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

We were pulling a closed trailer so we required a 54' spot and they had a number of pull throughs that met the need. This is a great spot if you have kids or grandkids to entertain. They have a playground, horses, camels, ostriches, donkeys, chickens and alpaca that can be seen for free. The train ride to see the Bison is pricey if you have more than one child. There is a campfire every evening. The store is full of buffalo themed, mainly made in China, items, pricey knickknacks, junk food, buffalo meat processed in South Dakota, and a few basic staples. Some alcohol is available. The lots are close together and in spite of driving 2 miles from the exit, the park is right on I-25. Bring earplugs or plan on running the AC even in cool weather. For us, it was a great place to spend the night, do laundry (used my little washer), and chill. Nice walk to check out the critters. I didn't use the bathrooms or laundry but they looked clean. I wouldn't pay the $50/night but for $25, it was fine. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the Twilight Zone of campgrounds! So weird, but in a good way! The property is a diamond in the rough. Unfortunately it's been let go and new management could make it a really cool place! The cigarette butts and dog poop everywhere made it hard to love the environment. There are a LOT of permanent or long term residents....with a lot of kids. Their sites are trashy, cluttered and generally a turnoff. Many of them have chain-link dog kennels on their sites and they haven't been mowed inside etc.....so it just makes it look bad. Our site was shared with the dump site.... literally! The picnic table was right next to the dump site hookup. Luckily we were only there one night. There were huge potholes in the interior roads.... could easily be filled in. The restaurant was odd.... no better way to describe it.....but the food was good. The zoo and amusement park are really run down. Sad....because it looks like it was a really cool place in its heyday! Hopefully the owners will bring in new management that can get it back to what it was and what it should be! We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very large, basic, no frills "cowboy ranch type" campground with level gravel pull through sites. Back in sites are occupied by permanent residents. FHU sites are $46, electric/water sites are $42 a night and dry RV sites are $30 a night (but you can't use your generator except during Cheyenne Frontier Days). They have "deluxe" RV sites for $51.95 a night but we didn't know about those until we left so I can't describe them. There is a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and a cafe offering breakfast on site but we didn't eat there. There is also a gift shop. They offer ATV tours, horseback rides and a small, in-park train tour to learn about their bison. They have a lot of different farm animals and you can walk a catwalk above the paddocks to view them. They have a small stocked rainbow trout pond and for $19.50 you can catch three fish. No license required but you must have your own tackle. They also have cabins for rent. Avoid Cheyenne Frontier Days as the park fills up fast. This is the second time we've stayed here and we like it because of the views of the prairie and it's right off I-25 although we didn't hear a lot of traffic noise. They offer Passport America and Good Sam discounts but won't combine them. We stayed four nights and chose to go with the PA discount. If you arrive early you can wait in the large gravel lot just inside the entrance on the left hand side. We will stay here again. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Hiking in Curt Gowdy State Park and Medicine Bow National Forest. Downtown Cheyenne Trolley Tour and Train Depot Museum. Strolling through Lion's Park (Arboretum is closed for renovations now). Cheyenne Frontier days are in late July and this is a really big event in this part of the country. It goes on for many days and includes a rodeo and a cattel drive into town http://www.cfdrodeo.com/schedule/

This Park is on a 27000 acre ranch just off I-25 south of Cheyenne. Good road in to park off I-25. It has an old west feel with an interesting cowboy/western Resturant on site. Had dinner there, lots of locals along with us travelers. Food was good but pricey. The rv sites were surprising level, sand/gravel, pull through. Some were wide ours was very close to both neighbors. Wide roads that were dusty. The utilities were very good, high water pressure and 122v 50amp power. Sewer close draining down from rig to inlet Bottom line this place is as advertised. It RVing on a ranch setting with dust, mowed weeds and a interesting mix of neighbors. Good place to stay one night and eat at the Resturant staying outside of Cheyenne. We happened to stay there during Cheyenne Frontier Days weekend. If nothing else you will come away with a good story about staying here!! We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Some what rough getting into the park, but sites were long enough for my 40' MH pulling a car. Site 91 was narrow, but nice and level. Many things to do, especially for kids. Almost a zoo. Nice store and restaurant. Rides for kids looked a little dated... and maybe not safe. They were not running when we were there. Overall, a great place to stay for a night or two, ten miles or so to downtown Cheyenne which is a very nice town. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Really don't see what all the hoopla is about. Kinda felt like we were parked in a storage lot of RV's, parked between a long term renter and a 5th wheel with 3 vehicles at it. Glad it didn't rain as it could have been a real mud pit. There are some amusement park rides for kids but none ran the day we were there, kitschy storefronts, tours to see the animals. The one redeeming thing was the burger at Senators Restaurant. Never had Bison before so had to try it since brochure said they raise 80% of bison eaten in US. Found out I LOVE buffalo! I received the PA discount for one night then regular price for the 2nd night. Total coast was $75.00 for 2 nights. From the moment you pull into the driveway under the arch, the ground pavement, which is dirt, is the worst I have ever encountered. Pot holes everywhere and believe me you will be rockin' & a rollin'. The assigned space #88 was okay but not level and on a downhill. I can tell you for sure, that if it rains, you don't want to be anywhere near this campground. There will be mud all over the place. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Best part was the Senator's Steakhouse which is on the premises. Nothing fancy but very good food. I had the Bison sirloin steak for dinner the first night and the next day for lunch I had the Bison burger. Do not miss those dishes, you will be more than pleasantly surprised.
