Rate reflects Passport America discount plus tax. Arrived in the early afternoon and checked in which was very easy. Watch for the potholes at the entrance. They provided a brochure with a restaurant menu and a 10% discount coupon. Our site #81 was very tight but adequate for us for one night. All sites are tight and very close to your neighbors. There are a lot of full-time residents here and some of them have a junk/tools/ etc. around their rig. Most of the sites also need weed whacking and/or mowing. The whole park needs some attention. Good solid 50 amp power and fairly good water pressure. Verizon cell service was 4 bars of 4g LTE and we were able to get a good DirecTv satellite signal with our on-board antenna. We would not have stayed here if they didn't take Passport America. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great place. Lots of animals (horses, ostrich, donkey, chickens, turkey, camels, pigs, bison), train ride, horse trail rides; fishing; ATV rides; great restaurant; saloon. Lots of FHU pull through and back-in sites. They also have cabins and tent sites. Water and electric both good. No cable but lots of OTA stations. Sites are gravel and very close together. There is a clubhouse but I did not go in. Nice gift shop. Family friendly - two playgrounds. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights in a 43' motorhome. Received PA discount $24 for 1st night, 2nd night regular price, total cost was $79+ for 2 nights. Easy on-off from I-25. Entrance has major POTHOLES, that will damage your coach if not careful, as you pass thru stone archway. All CG roads are dirt with some gravel that used to be asphalt and are wide, easy to navigate with a big rig. Park is run down and needs a lot of maintenance. There appear to be many seasonal rigs. Check-in was smooth and friendly. Our site was #89, level, FHU PT, no cable or shade, at rear of CG away from I-25, no noise. All utilities worked well. Good OTA channels. Site was easy to get into but very close together. Looked at bathrooms and showers when in office/gift store -very clean. No dog park but plenty of space to walk your dog and enjoy the great views of the rolling hills and bison. CG recommended on site restaurant(The Senator). Didn't care for the restaurant. They had a wedding inside so they offered outdoor seating. There was no one there yet we had to wait until they cleaned the table(s). As we waited the smell of bison, cattle and horse manure together with the many flies drove us away and we went into town for lunch. The restaurant seemed understaffed. Maybe, indoor seating would be better experience. Overall at the PA rate it's an OK stay but regular rate it's overpriced. If passing thru we would stay here again overnight. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely do the "Trolley Tour" and visit the "CFD Old West Museum". For good food have lunch at "Sanfords" on 17th street in Cheyene. The decor is "Antiques and Collectibles" as seen on the TV show "American Pickers".

Site was long enough but very narrow and utilities worked fine. Everything here would benefit from some maintenance and during our three day stay we saw every rule on their list being broken but we never saw any park employees in the RV park. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Dry camped for 1 night (paid for 2) during Frontier Days. The dry camp field should have been mowed before everyone came for F. Days. There were thistles, sand spurs, high weeds, etc. The entrance as well as interior roads have a lot of pot holes that are impossible to avoid. Our site was near the road and a train track so there was a bit of noise. Their full hook up and electric/water only sites are very narrow and do not appear to be well maintained. We would not return. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Potholes, patchy grass at sites, uneven sites and too close together. This place is an overpriced dump. They certainly aren't putting the profits into maintenance. There are a lot of long term RVs here with clutter around them. The restaurant is understaffed. While waiting to be seated at lunch we stood there so long without being acknowledged that we just left and went into town to eat. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This park needs some work in my view but convenient to Interstate and took Pass Port America. Rough road at the entrance due to pot holes. Sites are very close together. Just needs work from about every aspect. Satellite hooked up, good Verizon. We did not like the restaurant. Ordered a bison ribeye which was way over priced and just not too good. We will look elsewhere next pass. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a ratty RV Park. Sites are mostly unlevel & overgrown. Smells of 'cow' from a nearby feed lot. Sites are extremely close. Hookups worked ok.

On the good side, there is a popular restaurant on site that serves huge servings and lots of room to walk your dog. It's about 20 min from Cheyenne. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here twice - on our way west and then home. Spaces are adequate with narrow grass strips b/n sites and trees throughout the park. There is a drought in this area, so grass is dry but the camp is watering trees to keep them going. Both stays were overnight. Our sites were level. Park was quiet but there is highway noise the closer you are to I-25. There are tourist activities (small scale train to look at bison herd, trail rides, ATV rental). There is also a small cafe for breakfast and a restaurant for dinner and supper. We did go to the cafe and enjoyed our meals. We felt safe in this RV park and would stay here again as an overnight to places west. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Expensive for a park that is a problem when it rains. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Staff friendly. Didn't care for the restaurant too much. They had a wedding apparently all weekend so we sat in a hallway to eat. Lots of Buffalo to see. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

One overnight here in a pullthru site, with full hook ups. Luckily we were in the row farthest from the freeway so highway sound was minimal. There was a distinct animal smell so we were unable to keep our windows open. Front window view was nice out to some of the tent sites (not occupied) and pasture. The value was reasonable using Passport America. However I would consider it overpriced otherwise. We ate at the Senators restaurant onsite, and I am sad to say I cannot recommend it. Basic rates have been raised 30% to $48.00, but Passport America website has not kept up, despite being informed, according to the park staff. The park is clean, but old. (We had a picnic table with a large hole in the middle, making it unusable.) Roads and sites are gravel and sufficiently wide, but sites are not level because of lack of grading maintenance. Utilities worked well, but low water pressure. Wifi was virtually nonexistent (typical inadequate bandwidth for number of users). Decent TV reception for major networks and ATTcell service had adequate strength. Lots of space for dog walking. Many play structures for kids. Beautiful views across the ranch, but next to I-25 so substantial freeway noise if that bothers you. Pleasant staff. Would stay again only if could not find another lower priced park. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a unique place. It is a working bison, cattle and other animals ranch. SItes are close together. Park is all dirt and has plenty of flies... Close to the main road so there is a lot of truck noise. Park is run down and needs a lot of TLC. There are many seasonal rigs and messy sites. There is a resteraunt (Senator) or site that has some interesting food choices all not bad quality or price. Significant sized camp store. Park wifi did not work. Verizon cell service was fine. Satellite tv was easy to hook up. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights. Could only give above rating because campground itself overpriced (PA price is only applicable one night but helped). Sites are very close together (can't possibly make campfire without burning down something and sewer hose of neighbor right next to our motorhome). Although it is very clean the campground is a bit rundown. That said, it's a shame because the ranch itself is delightful, the staff is wonderful, and the restaurant/bar on site has excellent bison burgers and steaks. There are ranch tours and horseback riding, and a unique playground/rides for kids that is active in summer. With a little work I think the campground could be "spruced up", not "resort" just a little less sad. Would definitely consider returning. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.
