Great Cody park for the price. Level gravel sites, grass and picnic table at site. Full hookups, good WiFi. Pull through site was not narrow to me, we have 3 slides and had good room between adjacent sites. Shower clean with lots of hot water. Grass covered dog walk along one edge of park. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Fast food restaurant next door and another across the street. Food market close by.
We arrived here with no reservations on a Friday afternoon and the owner / staff went out of their way to help us with a full hook up site. They only had back ins for TT's 25 foot or less and our 26 foot fit perfect in one of the end sites since we were told the two end sites were the longest and they gave us the site next to it to park our truck at no extra cost. Because the site was a back in we were given a discount. All sites are level and gravel, grass and picnic table at each site. All sites are full hookup's good Wi-Fi. Showers were clean with lots of hot water. Grass covered dog walk along one edge of park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park but cheaper than the others. They have had rain for several days and there is quite a bit of mud in a lot of the sites. We were in E10 which was a little snug length wise for our 40' motorhome. We didn't use the bathrooms but I did check them out and they are old. No doors for the toilets only curtains. The laundry is $2.25 total per load (wash and dry). We came here to visit friends and we would stay here again if we came for that reason. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just off the highway but it quiets down substantially in the evening. The park is on the east side of town with easy access to shopping, dining, etc. Nice and clean. Sites are somewhat narrow but still roomy enough for the big rigs. Friendly, helpful staff who provided good info re: things to do and see. We left our trailer at the park and took a nice day trip on the Beartooth. DON'T take your trailer/rig on that road unless you love very stressful driving. The road is narrow, often with no shoulders and rock outcroppings and very few opportunities to pull over. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This RV Park is on the east edge of Cody, Wyoming. Some Garmin GPS units (such as my Nuvi 1450) incorrectly show the Absaroka Bay RV park as being about 30 miles northwest of Cody, instead of in Cody. Garmin apparently confused it with a lodge in Montana with a similar name, and according to the rv park owner, has to date been unable to correct the problem. The friendly, helpful, accommodating laid-back owner is a potter, wood carver, & sculptor, and also maintains a small vegetable garden. Even though it is in a “Y” between two highways (easy entrance & exit), this park has relatively little road noise, and is quiet at night. The roads are asphalt, the spaces are level gravel with small grass lawns and picnic tables, a few sites have a shade tree. The utilities all worked flawlessly. WiFi access & use was easy, fast, smooth, and solid; cell phone reception at our site was excellent. The minimalist restroom decor reminded me a lot of a late 1950s army barracks; concrete floors, cinder block walls, open runs of pipe, etc. However, the restrooms were very clean and well stocked. The large shower stalls had large antechambers with big hooks, so your towel and clothes don’t keep fall off them, and plenty of hot water. The guests were quiet and friendly, no ATV problems, and the one small dog that barked incessantly was dealt with after my spouse talked to the folks. This Park is smaller and less elaborate than the big one downtown, and much more to our taste. We stayed three nights in a popup trailer and paid $30 per night with a Good Sam card. We will stay here when we come back to Cody in the future. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Very clean and well maintained campground. Most all site were pull-through sites. We saw big Class A motor homes and a few pop ups. Most all the sites were gravel with grassy patches between. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained and serviced. The lady that check us in was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Also helpful as to local scenery, hiking and driving. The only reason I rated 9 rather than a 10, sites were small but remember you are in a tourist town, with lots to see and do. We have stayed in other campgrounds where the sites were even smaller without much to do other than to sit and watch your neighbor set up or take down. Very good Internet too. We stayed for 7 days and would stop again. 50 miles from Yellowstone East gate, plenty of restaurants in Cody, shopping and entertainment. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
I would have given the campground a higher rating but the spaces are too small. We drive a small 31 ft Class A and tow a compact car. However, long fifth wheel units towed by crew cab trucks blocked the lanes as there was not enough room for them to park in their sites. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
This is a no frills quiet park. The price is right. The sites are narrow but one stays here to sightsee, not sit in the park. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had deer right in front of us in the field. We would stay again if ever in the area. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
The rate reflects a Good Sam discount and includes tax. This is a clean campground with level pull-through sites. The person at check-in was very friendly and helpful. The sites are fairly close together, but not awful..very doable. Wi-Fi worked well. Campground is located toward the outskirts of Cody, but Cody is small, so it was a short drive to get to the downtown area. I gave it a 9 because the rate is a good rate for what you get for a tourist destination. We were there to visit Cody, and this campground gave us a decent place to stay for a great price. We would stay there again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
Good location for sightseeing. This campground was VERY tight for a big RV. We have a 45' motor home and they said we would have no trouble fitting in. Well, the corners were so tight that I had to move some rocks/boulders so we could make the turn, the roads were very narrow and the campsites were extremely close. We felt like our slide out was almost over our neighbors picnic table! It was filled to the brim with a lot of large RVs. I will not stay there again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
We loved this park, it was so refreshing after being gouged by other campsites in the Yellowstone area to have a really lovely campsite at a very reasonable price. Very convenient for Cody and shops. No cable but not a problem as antenna worked fine. Excellent WiFi; possibly the best we have ever had. Grass area with picnic table, paved roads, and gravel even sites. Elk can be seen walking through the site even though on the edge of town. Excellent value which we hope they continue and we certainly recommend. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is nothing special but it works. Utilities worked fine. WiFi worked fine. Mostly pull thru sites but most are very short and just wide enough. Conveniently located on the edge of Cody. We would probably stay here again because there isn't anything cheaper. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $29.00
We have stayed here a few times. For a no-frills park, you can't beat this one. Clean, friendly, and full-hookups. We really like the owner. Cody is a very expensive area. Considering that, this park is a real bargain. We will stay here again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly, quiet, very close to all that Cody has to offer, clean facilities, even over a national holiday weekend. Only complaint is that the spaces are close, so if you are next to another rig you will not be able to bring your awning all the way out or plan any private meals on the outside tables. We would come back here again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
