This is essentially a paved parking lot with a very small patch of grass between the tightly cramped RVS. If you have dogs and you wish to walk them, forget it! There is about 100 yds of a small strip of grass for dogs. That's it! The RVs are packed in like sardines. It would behoove the park to relinquish a few sites in each row and give campers a little more breathing room. WiFi doesn't work so bring a hot spot. We used DirecTV so no issues for us with satellite. However, when we pulled in the man next to us had his satellite dish on the picnic table and our RV blocked his connection. That tells you just how close the sites are. The park otherwise is clean. No junky live-in residents which is a nice plus. It's fine for a 1 or 2 night stay. Close to stores. Walking distance to Albertsons. The sites are gravel but the streets are paved, which is nice. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Made reservations in advance. They were full during our stay. Many people come and go every day coming from or going to Yellowstone. There is a good staging area in front of office with three marked lanes. Mountain View Drive is the address, but this is the rear entrance. You should enter from Hwy-14, not Mountain View Drive. It is very tight getting around the park in a big rig. Most of the streets are one-way and only wide enough for one vehicle. The sites are not quite long enough to accommodate a long RV and tow vehicle. Room to park your tow vehicle is a big problem. Many people park half-way in the street. Roads are asphalt and sites are gravel. All sites are pull-through facing northeast. So, your awning side will be shaded by your RV in the afternoon. There is little shade to speak of. There are a handful of trees that provide little shade if you happen to be parked next to one. Most sites are full sun and very close together. Each site has a picnic table. Connections were located in a convenient spot and the sewer was at ground level. We picked up a number of OTA television stations. Other reviewers had wifi problems. Wifi was very good for us. The dog walk area and dumpsters are at the far north end of the park. Walking distance to Taco John's, Burger King and K-Mart. I would not return here because of the tow vehicle parking problem. It was too difficult maneuvering my 40ft motorhome through the park. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park out of town, but right across the street from Albertson's Grocery. Clean and relatively quiet for being on a main road. We stayed 7 nights. The laundry was great - 8 washers 8 dryers located right in the middle of the park. Lots of people coming and going each day, and many were really big motorhomes. Lots of room to park, and a nice patch of grass and picnic table. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative is that each tow vehicle is parked along the front of the RV. You might have to ask your neighbor to move his vehicle just so you can pull out without any problems. No one seemed to have a problem with this. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Granny's is great. Irma's has a great buffet and good food, and Zapata's for Mexican was wonderful. Bubba's is a must for BBQ. A must for sightseeing, Chief Joseph Scenic Drive, the Buffalo Bill Museum and Dam, and the Heart Mountain Japanese Internment Camp.

Absaroka Bay RV Park was OK for a stop to visit Cody and Yellowstone NP. The Park is tight for a big rig which is exacerbated by the "other" campers parking with their trucks and toads sticking out in the street. All of the connections worked but the sites were QUITE close... Parking of our toad was quite close, and the car had to be wedged across the front of our coach. The roads are paved but the sites are gravel and it gets a bit dusty with the morning and afternoon "changing of the guards". We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Advertized as satellite friendly park but our satellite didnt work because we were parked beside one of the few trees in the park. At check in we were told to unhook the tow even though I had reserved a pull through. The pull throughs are just long enough for a big rig with a full size tow to park across the front and stick out into the street. A few long termers. Sites pretty close together. Cute little picnic table. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean, but very tight. Good place to park if you are here to see Cody or Yellowstone and don't plan to spend a lot of time in camp. Site was barely long enough to get our 42 foot coach in and have room to park the jeep sideways in front. Staff was friendly. Wouldn't be our first choice, but we would stay here again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is nice but the sites are way too small and close together. This is the reason for the poor rating. When you leave you have to get your neighbors to move their vehicles so you can get out or your site without hitting them. We all are parallel parking in front of our rigs. The lady that checked us in was very helpful with giving directions to shopping, attractions and other things of interest you might want or need. I would stay here again if visiting the East side of Yellowstone and the Cody area. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good park, is quiet at night and easy to get into and around. Sites are dirt and grass, with large grassy area for picnic table. No cable, but able to get several stations on air antenna. Wifi was acceptable. Site sizes vary, ours was just a little longer than our motorhome, but room available to park dinghy. Restrooms could use a little updating, but they were clean. Laundry rates were low. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Laundry, restrooms, and showers very clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient to all attractions in town, however need to drive places.

Parking in front of rig, off the road. Various size sites. Majority are pull-through sites. Tent camping available. Helpful staff. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

They are clean and friendly. Very accommodating...down home and carrying people.

We stayed last year for three days. Liked it so much that we came back this year for nine days and plan to return later this year and again next year.

There are other camp grounds in Cody, but we found this one to be a home away from home.

RV sites are spacious with each site having very nice lush green grass.

The offer Propane at reasonable price

Showers/Commodes/Laundry amenities are all clean. Washer/Dryers were affordable.

Within walking distance to local retailers and local coffee shop! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 8 days, $31.17 discounted daily rate for staying 7 days or longer. The sites are dirt with a little gravel and have a grass area next to each site with a picnic table, that gets watered nightly. The sites are close but not uncomfortably close. Asphalt paved roads in the park. Checked out the bathrooms/showers, clean but older. It is near the highway, but the noise was minimal & didn't bother us. We were happy to use this as a base to leave the 5th wheel to explore the area. The only complaint is the internet was horrible. They didn't have a good solution for the bad internet either. If you require internet, make other arrangements, ie, air card, hot spot etc. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

For a nice 1/2 day trip, take the Belfry hwy north to Red Lodge Montana. From Red Lodge take the Beartooth hwy southwest over Beartooth Pass, then run over to Cooke City Montana. From Cooke City backtrack on the Beartooth hwy to the Chief Joseph hwy to head southeast back to Cody. Spectacular views and you can drive over the tallest bridge in Wyoming on this route.

We planned to stay for three days during their busiest two week. However when I became sick requiring two visits to the emergency room, they said we could stay as long as we had to. They were very friendly and caring. It's easy to drive a big rig around this park. The sites do vary in length so depending on your site plan for parking your tow. This CG is very close to Cody and all its attractions. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is very much in town and feels crowded both inside and in the surrounding area. The sites were very short. It was possible to park (our tow vehicle) on the site only by parking parallel to the road. Most campers had to do that, so the roads, while adequate even for a motorhome, felt tight. Basically, this is a big parking lot with hookups, but it is convenient to see Cody, and that is definitely worth doing. The wifi worked but only intermittently. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not a bad park on the edge of town. The grounds are nice and clean, they could use a bigger area for pets, but at least they have an area. The WIFI seems to be good, but then there aren't many campers here this time of year. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would stay here again.
