The park has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and is on the edge of the town of Cody near (1 block) a major grocery store and other types of shopping and dining. Just a short drive down the hill is the town of Cody. Rate is 20% less than the other major RV park in Cody. Good hookups, great wifi, clean laundry, grass between sites. Near a residential area that is quiet and has a nice city park 2 blocks away for relaxing, play area for kids, or a little play time with the dogs. No pool or other amenities which we don't need. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good biking. Bike north and over to Beacon Hill Road around airport for a nice loop (about 3 miles) - very light traffic on these roads and beautiful vistas in all directions. Be sure to visit the Veterans Memorial park just before you reach the campground entrance coming in toward town.

Park is very convenient to town and area attractions. Lots are somewhat close together but all utilities worked just fine. We had a 50 amp FHU pull through site. No annoying outside noises to deal with. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The spaces were plenty long enough for big rigs. The services were all good, the electric was stable and the WIFI worked well. The restrooms and showers were clean and the laundry was priced very reasonable. This is the best priced park in Cody. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Buffalo Bill Cody Center of the West Museum is a must see while in Cody. Also, Pat O'hara's Brew Pub is a very good and fun place for food and drink.

Park was clean and the staff was great. Our site and the surrounding sites were very tight. But the park is in a great location, close to downtown and all the sites. We used our bikes to go back and forth. The hill on the way back was a bit of a workout but otherwise it was great. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Zapatas served great Mexican food. The Buffalo Bill Museums were amazing. We really enjoyed Dan Miller Cowboy Music show.

Tight, tight & short old gravel sites, narrow, no shade trees in transit sites, no cable but strong wifi. Nice staff. Right on highway into Cody, so lots of noise near highway. Grass between sites & old asphalt driveways. Old worn out picnic tables But close to town. Rate is not what we paid as we were part of a group and our site was prepaid.. We were in a pull thru and it was tight. This is not a big rig park. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to,Cody where all the action is...get info sheets at office about activities. Burger King just down the highway.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park over the fourth of July. The sites are all pull through or back in and very close together, gravel and grass, but level. We were able to put out our awning. Limited parking for tow rig. Roadways are paved. Right on the highway but very quiet, even on the fourth!! No trees in the park at all. We enjoyed all the holiday activities in the city. We would return again. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove out to the Internment site and that was very interesting. We also drove up to the dam. Beautiful views. The city of Cody is interesting as well, we took in a show with western dinner which was just okay.

Sites were very close together but not an angle to receive any morning or afternoon shade. Satisfactory for an overnight stop only. The staff was quite adamant about wanting people to turn off personal hotspots so as not to interfere with their wifi. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great Cody park for the price. Level gravel sites, grass and picnic table at site. Full hookups, good WiFi. Pull through site was not narrow to me, we have 3 slides and had good room between adjacent sites. Shower clean with lots of hot water. Grass covered dog walk along one edge of park. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fast food restaurant next door and another across the street. Food market close by.

We arrived here with no reservations on a Friday afternoon and the owner / staff went out of their way to help us with a full hook up site. They only had back ins for TT's 25 foot or less and our 26 foot fit perfect in one of the end sites since we were told the two end sites were the longest and they gave us the site next to it to park our truck at no extra cost. Because the site was a back in we were given a discount. All sites are level and gravel, grass and picnic table at each site. All sites are full hookup's good Wi-Fi. Showers were clean with lots of hot water. Grass covered dog walk along one edge of park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park but cheaper than the others. They have had rain for several days and there is quite a bit of mud in a lot of the sites. We were in E10 which was a little snug length wise for our 40' motorhome. We didn't use the bathrooms but I did check them out and they are old. No doors for the toilets only curtains. The laundry is $2.25 total per load (wash and dry). We came here to visit friends and we would stay here again if we came for that reason. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just off the highway but it quiets down substantially in the evening. The park is on the east side of town with easy access to shopping, dining, etc. Nice and clean. Sites are somewhat narrow but still roomy enough for the big rigs. Friendly, helpful staff who provided good info re: things to do and see. We left our trailer at the park and took a nice day trip on the Beartooth. DON'T take your trailer/rig on that road unless you love very stressful driving. The road is narrow, often with no shoulders and rock outcroppings and very few opportunities to pull over. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This RV Park is on the east edge of Cody, Wyoming. Some Garmin GPS units (such as my Nuvi 1450) incorrectly show the Absaroka Bay RV park as being about 30 miles northwest of Cody, instead of in Cody. Garmin apparently confused it with a lodge in Montana with a similar name, and according to the rv park owner, has to date been unable to correct the problem. The friendly, helpful, accommodating laid-back owner is a potter, wood carver, & sculptor, and also maintains a small vegetable garden. Even though it is in a “Y” between two highways (easy entrance & exit), this park has relatively little road noise, and is quiet at night. The roads are asphalt, the spaces are level gravel with small grass lawns and picnic tables, a few sites have a shade tree. The utilities all worked flawlessly. WiFi access & use was easy, fast, smooth, and solid; cell phone reception at our site was excellent. The minimalist restroom decor reminded me a lot of a late 1950s army barracks; concrete floors, cinder block walls, open runs of pipe, etc. However, the restrooms were very clean and well stocked. The large shower stalls had large antechambers with big hooks, so your towel and clothes don’t keep fall off them, and plenty of hot water. The guests were quiet and friendly, no ATV problems, and the one small dog that barked incessantly was dealt with after my spouse talked to the folks. This Park is smaller and less elaborate than the big one downtown, and much more to our taste. We stayed three nights in a popup trailer and paid $30 per night with a Good Sam card. We will stay here when we come back to Cody in the future. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Very clean and well maintained campground. Most all site were pull-through sites. We saw big Class A motor homes and a few pop ups. Most all the sites were gravel with grassy patches between. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained and serviced. The lady that check us in was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Also helpful as to local scenery, hiking and driving. The only reason I rated 9 rather than a 10, sites were small but remember you are in a tourist town, with lots to see and do. We have stayed in other campgrounds where the sites were even smaller without much to do other than to sit and watch your neighbor set up or take down. Very good Internet too. We stayed for 7 days and would stop again. 50 miles from Yellowstone East gate, plenty of restaurants in Cody, shopping and entertainment. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I would have given the campground a higher rating but the spaces are too small. We drive a small 31 ft Class A and tow a compact car. However, long fifth wheel units towed by crew cab trucks blocked the lanes as there was not enough room for them to park in their sites. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
