We had a 3 week stay - in a patio site. This was very nice for the long stay in the area. Our site was close to the road at the front of the CG but road noise was not too bad overall. Nice open sites and length was great. Staff was extremely friendly and always attentive to our needs. Campground was clean and neat at all times. WiFi worked well most of the time. Verizon was the only cell service based on our phones. We camped at Cody KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very disappointing KOA. We were assigned spot #68 with our 39 foot travel trailer and 1-ton four door truck. the sites are so narrow, getting in was the worst experience I have had in any RV park for a pull through. The incoming roads are very tight and narrow as well, so it took about an hour just to get in! Site is not that level, and we are so close to other rigs our slide outs almost touch!!! Not much room left for parking the truck either. Cody is a great town, buy stay somewhere else if you have a large rig!!! We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Opted for Luxury site, well laid out campground with all utilites located in the right area, cement pad, fire ring, and a nice patio area. Staff was young and friendly.

Signed up for the Cody Rodeo that night, well worth the $$$. The grand children really enjoyed it. Made our way to Yellowstone well worth the adventure. We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are close together. Arrived late, but our registration info was on the Late Arrival board. Found site fairly easily. The section we were in was pull-thru sites with the rv's front doors facing each other. Our neighbor had his sewer hook-up in our site, which was convenient for him. I offered to move to another site but the staff resolved the problem quickly. Was surprised after unhooking the trailer from the truck, the trailer was level! The site was at a slight angle, and lucky for me the front of the trailer needed to be raised! We camped at Cody KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was by far the best KOA campground that I have ever been to. They were extremely nice people, clean bathrooms etc., free pancake breakfast, very clean campsite. Overall, just an amazing experience with my boyfriend and our children. We definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon. We camped at Cody KOA in a Tent.

First time in 20 years we'd been there, a great place for seeing the area. A bit far to be a 'basecamp' for Yellowstone but many use it for that. The Cody area has grown considerably but is fun to explore. We were just one night on our way to West Yellowstone so didn't get time to explore too much this trip. We had a patio site, which was small but functional. Pancake breakfast in the mornings and a well stocked store/gift shop. We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

So much to say about the Cody area, must see attractions, in town and in the general area. The Cody Night Rodeo during the summer is a must see, the Buffalo Bill Museum is top notch and can take several days just for that! A well reviewed area I can't say much more about.

For a KOA we were disappointed. Check-in staff were friendly, but not knowledgeable about area attractions. I asked about trail rides and was handed a brochure for a ranch 55 miles away! I asked about the place RIGHT NEXT DOOR and she just shrugged and said we could walk over and inquire there! Turns out, they are a part of the ranch 55 miles away, but we were supposed to sign up at the KOA office! Park is very open, gravel and some grass, which looked like it wasn't mowed for weeks. Lots of junk all along the back edge of the park. Lots of workers in yellow shirts, but never saw anyone mowing! Our site was fairly level, but grass in some spots was over 8 inches tall! Lots of bare spots which means mud with any showers, or just the dripping from you AC. We had to pay a $5.00 "resort fee". When asked what that was for, we were told "Well, we serve free pancakes every morning". Guess the pancakes really weren't free! Pool area was nice, but I suspect they allow outsiders to use the pool- lots of cars coming into the parking lot next to the pool. Trust me, this park is not big enough to require driving to the pool if you are staying here. Lots of one night RVs. It says in brochure they are only 50 miles to east entrance to Yellowstone, which is true, but then you have another 37 miles of mountain to climb to get to the sites of Yellowstone! Very steep ride, 11,333 feet of elevation. Not for the faint heart. This KOA could really use some sprucing up and better maintenance of the sites. Fire pits were in disrepair and overgrown with weeds. We got good satellite, our neighbor could not get his cable to work. Wi-Fi was horrible. Would probably not stay here again. We camped at Cody KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cody is a nice town. Lots of construction going on - traffic is a nightmare. We golfed at Olive Glenn Golf and Country Club. The only golf course in the area. Overpriced for the conditions- $68 plus tax for 18 and a cart. However, their "19th hole" Stampede Bar and Grill, is very nice, with a good menu. Food was excellent and reasonable. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Way overpriced for what you get. $75 a night for a side by side narrow pull through. Also the utilities are oddly placed requiring long hoses and electric cable. You have to share the patio space with the people in the site next to you. The sites are all gravel with some large shade trees in between. Road noise could be bothersome. Also there was no one to lead you to your site like all other KOA's just follow their confusing map. We camped at Cody KOA in a Motorhome.

We pulled into the park near dark. the young lady said the park was full but they did have an overflow area.
So we dry camped. We did get to use our generator.
They had free pancake breakfast the next morning so that was a plus.
The biggest negative I had was the teenagers that work there were all bickering with each other. We could have done without that. We camped at Cody KOA in a Truck Camper.

There are 3 or 4 other campgrounds in Cody...maybe a bit cheaper, but this one is the roomiest, and it's just out of town. A lot less busy and less noisy. It's not a beautiful campground, but more than adequate.

Besides, they have free pancakes each morning from 7-9 am. Everything else is extra.

We made the right choice staying here. It's close to most everything you want to see, and there's a lot to see in Cody. Think Buffalo Bill Cody.

A couple of extra dollars will get you one of the super sized pull throughs. We camped at Cody KOA in a Motorhome.

Very Basic Park. Way overpriced! Listed Wi-Fi available but could not hook up! We had no sewer though there were empty sites with sewer hookups. Spot had gravel pad but was not completely covered. Refused normal Good Sam, and ALL other discounts. Never Again! We camped at Cody KOA in a Motorhome.

Hello. We paid a premium due to making a reservation at the last minute so all they had available was a large, gravel site with an extended concrete patio with patio furniture. The site was a pull-thru, level, and very roomy. It was directly across from the very nice enclosed dog play area. They did not escort us to our site but they were friendly at check-in. No shade trees to speak of. Great location just an hour outside of Yellowstone. Our memory is failing us as to whether the WiFi worked well but we're pretty sure it did. The showers and restrooms were clean. We did not use the laundry. They offered a free pancake breakfast in the morning which was nice. We recommend this KOA. We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a decent KOA with a lot of amenities, we've stayed here before. It gets windy so you can't leave your awning out for very long. The spaces are very close and there's no privacy. It's dusty and dirty so prepare. Dog friendly with a small fenced area for off leash time. It's just outside of Cody, about 5 minutes to downtown. We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.
