The campground personnel were all very friendly and helpful. We were given a Welcome Packet with a very helpful overview of all the area attractions. We had a corner lot, which was an easy back-in for our 34-foot fifth wheel. It had a nice grassy area for our two dogs. The sites are close to each other, but we had adequate room. There was one washer out of order in the laundromat, but I didn't have to wait to do my three loads of laundry. The other campers I met at the laundromat were extremely friendly and helpful. The campground has four areas to enter and exit, which made it easy to get in and out. It is located right in the middle of all of the action in Cody. We would definitely choose the Ponderosa Campground again upon any return trips to Cody. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We've been here several times before and this park meets our needs as long as we can get a site in the newer section with 30 or so pull-through sites in open area on the north side of the park. These sites are full hookups with cable TV. The 110 older sites in the rest of the park are back-ins and most appear to be very difficult to get into. The Wi-Fi network was OK. As others have mentioned, you can walk to the Cody Museum and most of downtown Cody is only another 15 minutes on foot. The bathrooms and laundry are near the office. They are old, but serviceable. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

Super friendly people on check in and very helpful with the "what to do's" in the area. The location was convenient only two blocks to the Bill Cody museum and walkable to the main street tourist shops. The only reason a higher rating was not given was due to the very close camp sites and the neighbours sewer drain in your tiny space. Big rigs were accommodated better with sidewalks and some with concrete pads. Truck campers and small units always get the crappy site. Next time maybe we'll bring our 5th wheel. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Truck Camper.

This is a very nice convenient park. Consists of two areas as one is paved and one is gravel. One has mature shade trees one has none. I would have liked to be in the shade but was stuck out in the sun in a small spot so the big rigs could have all the nice spots. I would stay here again but only if I could secure a better site. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park located on the edge of tourist Cody. It is very clean and well maintained and has an extensive property divided into motorhomes and tents. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained and there are enough to make sure I didn't have to wait. The only drawback is that there was very little personal space, which we have found to be common in campgrounds that are located in cities. We would stay again. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground location cannot be beat if you are looking for a place close to town to visit Cody and the surrounding area. Sites are a little tightly spaced, but reasonable for the location and similar to the other commercial parks in town. We were in a pull through in the section closest to the Buffalo Bill Center. This appears to be a newer section and is gravel. Overall a nice spot. However, there are a couple of issues that we had that need to be mentioned. First, as others have stated, WiFi is pretty poor from the spots away from the office/store. This was an issue for me as I had to run payroll for my company back home. If fast WiFi is important to you, be aware that it is a bit slow. The second item is more important. Voltages for the shore power were very high while I was there. Our meter never read below 128V and our surge guard cuts us off at 130V to protect the coach. We had numerous over voltage power cuts during our week and finally reverted to using shore power during the day, and running off of batteries at night. Park management was informed of the issue and their response was that they purposely had the voltage up so folks can run AC units and they refused my request to dial back the voltage a bit. I cannot prove a relationship, but we had several electrical / electronics failures while we were at the park, including our DirecTV DVR. Be warned that voltages may be an issue if you stay here and come prepared. This is the reason for my low rating. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 2 nights on way to Glacier National Park. When we first called a few days before they were sold out. But a follow up call the morning of arrival in Cody surprised us with availability. Very friendly and helpful desk staff. When they assigned us a spot and we went to it, it was nice but not conducive to our dogs. So I went back to the office where they rearranged and found us a nice site along the back road overlooking the river. Spots weren't too crowded. We appreciated the dog area, although it would have been nice to be bigger, not much room for the pups to run around after being cooped up in the RV so much. And their dog walk area was relatively small. Otherwise pretty happy with this campground. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

I can't say enough about this exceptionally clean campground! The grounds and facilities were immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!!! The roads are paved, as are the campsites. The location is right in the middle of town, which could have proved noisy, but it wasn't! It was actually convenient to get to the various tourist sites about town. My husband and I would definitely stay here again! We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

We like this campground and always stay here. In fact, we like Cody and often plan our trip to include this campground and town. This is our 6-7 time to stay here. The WiFi is strong and worked well on our cell phones, iPad, and laptop. The concrete sites are level and hookups good. But another reason to stay here when in Cody is it is convenient to everything in town. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Truck Camper.

Rate reflects Good Sam and small (22’) class B van in a back-in site. Sites are tight, close together. We stayed three nights to enjoy the museums and town, and this location is perfect. Very thorough briefing on the attractions at check-in, and the tour trolley picks up right at the office. Very slow Wi-Fi, but good cable and AT&T cellular signal. This is a big and busy park, very good location for stocking up and doing laundry before entering Yellowstone NP from the east side. Note this is cash or check only, no credit card. Would recommend this park to others. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on our maiden voyage in our new RV. We've been full-time for the past 6 years. Very nice park! Clean and friendly. There was a big early-season snow storm on October 3rd. Due to the unexpected cold, the park decided to shut the water off and purge the lines in order to avoid freeze damage. We filled our fresh tank and all was well. Sewer, Electric, Wi-Fi, and cable all remained on. AND - they refunded us $20 off our four day stay! Way to go Ponderosa. We'll tell everyone and we will be back!! We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

In town Cody with most of the town within walk distance including the Buffalo Bill Historic Museum. Gravel roads with patio, picnic table and grass between sites. Dusty with the traffic. The big concern is they refuse to cut tree limbs. If you have a motorhome you will need to ask for a pull-through site. Trimming a limb is like asking them to cut down all the trees in the park. Because of my height (12' 10") I had to weave between low branches on the entry road. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

Very clean park. Friendly staff, sites are a bit tight, but we don't really spend all that much time in or at our rig to matter much. Cody was a fun little town. Would definitely visit again. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were there 2 nights in a 39' RV with a tow dolly. Site was long enough, but the sites are very close. Our picnic table was right next to the neighbor's hookups and that wasn't very appealing. Personnel were friendly and park was clean. Wi-Fi was good and we were at the edge of the park, not close to the office. Park's location is good if you want to explore the town. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.
