Nothing to the "park" at all. Very tight sites. Convenient to food and shopping. We would not stay again. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed three nights to see Cody. The sites were very, very close together and the road noise was deafening. Convenient to the Cody museum. Other than that nothing to recommend it. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park that was expanded about ten years ago. We stayed in the newer section with full hook-ups. The sites are narrow but long enough for any coach or trailer. The hook-ups were well located. The site has grass, narrow cement pad/walkway, and rock pull thru (could use more rock). It rained while we where here and some of the sites were flooded. The check in was good but cash only. The enter and exit are dangerous the park is on a curve with limited view in one direction on a very busy street. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cody is a great town with lots of history. The Buffalo Bill Museum is one of the best for western history. We took the trolley car tour and it was great. Also, the shoot-out down town was entertaining. It even has a Walmart and a nice downtown area.

Be alert or you may pass the campground. They do not have a large overhead sign on the street. The only sign I saw were letters leaned against a fence facing the street. Going west on Eight Street, after you pass the Dairy Queen (on the right), the main entrance will be the second entrance on the right. The northern section of the park contains the pull thru sites with little shade. The southern section contains backin sites with many large shade trees. The sewer connection at our backin site was located at the extreme rear of the site. Water & electric were located at the side of the site. Wifi & cable(analog) tv worked well. Staff was friendly & helpful. They allowed us to go over one site due to low hanging limbs. We would stay here again when in Cody. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a few days and it is a nice park with a good location. People were friendly and they had a large grass area for tents and other activities. Park is divided into two parts. One area seemed kind of tight to move around in and the other had the pull thru sites. we stayed in the pull thru sites which had a little less Cody "character" but was nice to get in and out of. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground has a central location in Cody, convenient to everything. Check in was easy however credit cards are not accepted, only cash or checks. There is a large gift store with a few camping essentials plus Walmart and Albertsons are not far. Dog walking is fairly easy. There is no enclosed dog area. Tent camping is available. There are even several big tipi's to use. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park has a great location, next to the city park, with great walkways and bike paths and a big lake. Not part of the campground but a real asset, and only 2 miles from downtown. The sites at the park, however, are very tight together. Sewer lines from the site next door are in your tiny area. There is lots of shade from mature trees and the management is very helpful. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This nice park is located right in the middle of Cody and close to all the nearby attractions. It can be a tight turn-in for a big rig so you will need to swing wide into the enterance. They take cash or check only (no credit or debit cards), but they do have an ATM available in the office. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that makes customer service their #1 priority. I needed to have a repair done to my RV and had to leave the park with it for a day while the repair was done. They gladly held my site for the time I was gone. I had a concrete pad that was level front to back and side to side. The sites are close together, but I expect that from a park in the middle of a tourist town. Some roads are asphalt and other are gravel. All roads are well maintained. Some turns maybe tight for super big rigs, but I had no problems with my 38' 5th wheel. All the hook-ups were in the proper location and worked properly except for water pressure was low. Cable was clear with a good number of channels and the wifi worked great. The dog run is small but well fenced. Weakness of this park include water pressure that varies from 35 psi to a very low 20 psi at peak use times, sites are close together, and the store only has souvenirs and no camping supplies. I would gladly stay here again. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need repairs on the road, contact Park County RV. Very professional and courteous service. Close to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants most of which are within a mile walking distance. They sell tickets in the store for the Night Rodeo, Mustang Tours, rafting, and other attractions.

This park is very clean and the facilities are convenient and nice, it has been here a long time and shows by having sites with the utilities at the back, the sites are too short by modern standards but that aside the park is very well managed and convenient to attractions in Cody We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

People were very helpful. They worked me in a second night even though the campground was "full." The campground itself was a little tight for a big rig. We got around but had to pay close attention. Wi-Fi was poor. No two ways about it. Ponderosa is in a very convenient spot for Cody and Cody is well worth visiting. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall our site was good. I wouldn't want some of the other sites as RVs are stacked on each other. The electric pedestal was on the opposite side than the water hookup and sewer was behind the trailer. When you make reservations ask which sites have 50 amp. Not all do. Laundry room was clean; $2 for wash, $1.50 for 30 min dry. The property does need some upkeep on the trees and shrubs. Some tree limbs are hanging down onto the tops of trailers and some trees hit the back of trailers. The dead branches need to be pruned out as well. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground, within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of downtown Cody. There are many different types of sites, so be clear what you are reserving/getting. Some are fabulous pull-through, while others are really just a parking space. Most sites have an average amount of space between them, but we were right up against our neighbor on one side and no extra room anywhere. The site was very level, though, which is always appreciated! Overall, the campground is great, but our site was not the best. The laundry room is large and reasonably priced. Wifi and cell service (AT&T) were good. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It is a great location for the Fourth of July weekend - we could walk downtown for the parade and were able to watch the fireworks from the back of the campground. You can also get the trolley tour or rodeo bus from the campground, if desired. The RV Wash was $2/foot and they did a great job!
