Very old park managed by a frendly old couple. Park has gotten away from them. Restrooms are run down. Showers small and dirty. Drains are in desperate need of repair. Grounds are grass with alot of nice trees. Electric and water hookups were fine. Small spaces. Pet frendly. Quiet for the most part. Was once a very cute place. Now in need of some tlc. We camped at Foothills Motel and Campground in a Truck Camper.

It is always sad to see a park that has so much potential, and fails to deliver in almost every way. This is a spacious park bordering the Tongue River on the north side, a city park on the east side, and is one block from the small downtown area. It is less than 10 miles to the national forest and great hiking and fishing. The owners are a nice couple who have owned the park for 40+ years. However, they have failed to maintain what was probably a nice little park 70 years ago. For example, the laundry building had eight washers and three dryers - two of the washers worked and one of the dryers. The windows in the sides of the building were so dirty you could not see out of them. The walls had not been painted in probably 20 years. None of the buildings looked like they had been repaired or remodeled for decades. The owners appear to be hoarders; there was stuff (junk?) stacked or laying everywhere. No attempt had been made to put down gravel and create level parking pads; you just parked on the grass near the hookups. Roads in the park appear to have had gravel put down many years ago, but were now essentially dirt. Pictures will be posted so you can see the conditions throughout the park for yourself. Obviously, the price is very reasonable; a number of the people staying here were contractors working in the area. We camped at Foothills Motel and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is Foothills Motel and Campground in Dayton, Wyoming. This poor little park is worn down and showing its age. The entire campground is entirely shaded. My site was a pull through, 50 amp. The owner showed me the sewer hookup by telling me it was that hole under that rock. There was a hole and it appeared to have a plastic pipe down in there, but I would never dump there because I would be afraid that the pipe would come out of the hole spraying sewerage everywhere. I didn't drink the water either. The site was grass grown up through gravel and was level enough. There was a considerable amount of junk around the edges and what appeared to be two or three abandoned trailers moldering away. There is access to a surprisingly nice city park, with a large dog park. The owners were nice enough. My 34 foot fifth wheel was about all this place could handle. I found the rates to be VERY high considering the condition of the park. Overall, it is a run down place owned by an elderly couple, who are doing the best that they can. I would only stay here again if I could not find other accommodations within a reasonable distance. We camped at Foothills Motel and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
