This is a gem of a park and is now on the list of our favorites. FHU cable and wifi which worked well when we were there. We were steps from the Wind River. Staff is very accommodating. The sites are wooded which required a bit of maneuvering to hook up the satellite, but we were able to do it. We were there late in the season so there was lots of availability, but we can imagine that reservations would be a must during the high season. A very relaxing and comfortable campground. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Dubois is a charming town with many friendly residents. There is a small, but adequate grocery store. Also the National Mt. Sheep Museum is a worthwhile stop. Do not miss the Wyoming Wool Works if you are interested in crafting with wool or buying handmade items.

The park is located about 3 miles south of Dubois. This park was very peaceful and quiet. The park had extra long pull thru sites and sits nicely on the Wind River. Very nice park and we will definitely stay here again. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is very pricey for us, but there were not a lot of good choices. Nice park and we would stay here again just passing through. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Large gravel, did not feel comfortable riding bike. Wifi the worst. Would feel better if did not advertise, then received something. The best views you could have of the river, nicely mowed, restrooms wonderful. Easy parking 40' toy hauler with 2 vehicles. Electric did go off and on. Cost was a WOW! This was a bite. Choices were small. Nice stop enjoyed. 12 days took a bit of the budget. Threw it out window with wifi. Expected more for the $$$$. Will give dry camping a thought next time for my dollar. Highly recommend for those who have no qualms with mine. No discount, we are members of Sam's & others. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely campground, but rather pricy. Staff was friendly. Our site was level and spacious. A little tight turning in between two large Cottonwoods, but we managed. All utilities worked well except the WiFi which was atrocious. Parks should not advertise WiFi if it doesn't work well! It's like saying, "We have electricity that kinda works, sometimes." Enough said. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here. They had a great cowboy singer on Saturday night. We would probably stay here again. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Make a point of having breakfast at The Cowboy Cafe in Dubois. They also make awesome homemade pies.

Also if you're so inclined, seek out the Torrey Lake petroglyphs. Worth seeing. Ask in town for directions.

On the river. If possible, get a riverside site. Great park close to Dubois and the mountains. Stayed for 5 nights and would go back for sure. A little dusty and there was a forest fire in the area when we were here, so we had a smoke smell from time to time. Only about 1.5 hours from Yellowstone and Jackson if you've never been to those. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Couple of museums in town are worth the time to visit. There's a nice overlook park at the end of McKinley road. Good views and a good place to walk. Eat at the Cowboy Café if you're real hungry.

Most sites have tons of space, but we did see a few that were a little crowded. The ultimate would be to be at one right on the river, which we weren't. The view of the river and the rock formations is beautiful!

Cable signal was weak, which we found weird. WiFi almost nonexistent. LOTS of droppings from wildlife everywhere.

Bathrooms were awesome...private rooms with toilet, shower, sink and lots of space. Laundry room was clean etc., but the dryers were terrible. They took FOREVER and gave no indication of how long they would run. The one I started first ran WAY longer than then others. So there's no consistency.

I recommend you take whatever you think you'll need as far as supplies, as there's VERY limited options for shopping, etc. The campground has a store with limited supplies, and in town there's a little thrift store where I was able to pick up a denim jacket since there was a random cold front while we were here. And there was also a "general store" but we didn't go in. We DID eat at the Cowboy Cafe' which touts itself as having homemade food. It doesn't. It was mediocre at best.

Overall, this place is spacious, quiet and fine for a day or two. But the price is way too high. If they drop the price or fix the cable and WiFi then it'll be a home run! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Opportunity Shop in town was a great little thrift store. There's a general store in town. Don't bother eating at the Cowboy Cafe' unless you're OK with overpriced mediocre food.

We stayed in the RV section in our 40 foot 5th wheel. Our daughter & family had a lodge room. This was just a 1 night stay prior to entering the national parks.

The playground was OK but a bit small if more of the sites & rooms had kids. There were horseshoe pits which my husband & 8 yr old grandson enjoyed. The covered picnic table area was nice for the few tent sites. The grandson could run between the room & our site without any worries, which was nice.

The lodge rooms were decent size with 2 beds & still plenty of room for the 2 pack'n'plays for the twin 1 year olds. There was a small frig & microwave. Bathroom was nice size for family use. The beds were noisy but comfortable enough. A continental breakfast came with a room (but not an RV site). The breakfast was very rudimentary.

The RV sites can handle big rigs with ease. Where normally we are in one of the biggest available, here we did not even qualify for their "big rig" sites. Bathroom/showers were nice. We were in #7 & did not need to do any leveling,My husband wished that the sewer hookup was towards the middle of the site instead of clear to one end.

We would stay again. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, space was spacious, clean and shaded. Wifi was a hit or miss all of the time, good Verizon signal. Site was long enough for our motorhome and tow. Will stay again when were back in the area. Loved seeing all the prairie dogs running around. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The staff was excellent, we needed to find some medical assistance and the staff called the clinic, got us in, and gave good directions. It had rained the day we arrived but there was not too much standing water. Some sites back up to the river which is nice. Cable reception could have been better and more channels, WiFi was adequate. Did not try to get OTA or satellite due to large trees. Good staging point on the way to the Grand Teton National Park, about 70 miles. Had no trouble crossing over the pass into Grand Teton. Very nice location on the Wind River, lots of big trees and grass, spacious sites, pet friendly, cable TV, great showers and bathroom facilities - clean! Would definitely stay again! Really nice sites with easy in and out for large rigs. Plenty of room to disconnect and park - or leave hooked up! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

We found this to be a clean, well managed, and quiet RV park right on the Wind River. The staff at the campground went out of their way to accommodate us when we found we could not acquire a satellite signal with our roof mounted DirecTV dish. They moved us to another site which was just perfect. The sites are all gravel, but most are level and all have plenty of room. The Wind river runs around the campground and provided some good fly fishing as well as a relaxing and serene atmosphere for our evenings. Excellent welcome area and our reservations were just as we expected. Utilities placed well and we were in a "big rig" site and felt a little crowded but most sites were expansive. The Wind River circles the campground. I imagined that we would be able to walk along the river and enjoy sitting along the banks but you have to pick your way because of the animal "leavings". Also, due to the time of year, mosquitoes were a problem. I think this would be a great place to stay if you are a fishermen! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We lucked onto this park. What a beautiful setting right on the river. Office staff friendly at check in, they even let us drive through and select our site. We would return often if it wasn't so far from Washington. This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in over the past 5 years and 50,000 miles in all the western states. Great rv park just outside of town with lots of grass and trees and right on the Wind River. Easy access from the road but the sites are far away from the road and very quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer roaming about and families of ducks and geese while we were there. Clean private bathroom and shower combinations. Friendly management and staff and we wish we could have stayed longer than one night. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.
