We had a spot in the "leafy tree" section about 150 feet from the Wind River. Site #28. Not super treed compared to some but level and quiet. Utilities were fine. Baths and showers were clean and nice. Lighting inside is abit low to see to shave or insert contact lenses but adequate for shower etc. Dog run was abit overgrown. We decided against using it. There are plenty of drives and river frontage to walk your dog. Store was pretty thin of supplies but did have dry firewood. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for sure! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice Surprise After leaving southwestern Wyoming, we thought we'd have an easy day and so, we stopped in Dubois. What a cute little town! And absolutely beautiful surroundings. Who knew??? Longhorn was also an unexpected surprise. Lots of trees, shade, space between rigs, etc. Very quiet, very pleasant and the park staff could not have been nicer. They also offer a continental breakfast for all of their guests. A nice stay in a great little town. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Cowboy Cafe in town is a winner. Mostly comfort food, but also some creative combinations for the gourmet eater. Solid for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you're going to stay in or near Dubois WY, this is the place to stay! Quiet. Convenient. Well maintained. Lots of trees and a beautiful river. I did not have time to fish the river. Full hookups available with good water pressure. No Sprint coverage and AT&T limited to 3G. Park WIFI was very reliable and I consistently got >35MB down/16MB up. Cable TV connection did not work well for me and only 4 OTA channels available; but I did not try hard nor did I contact the office. I was put into lot 19 and it was a bit small for me. I asked for a different lot and they put me in 5 and 6 for the same price. I used 6 to park my truck. There is a small store (w/ice) and a restaurant serving continental breakfast; I used neither. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The local grocery store is about 3 mi away. It's a bit pricey and the fresh produce is understandably limited and not so fresh in some cases. That said, it's more than adequate. There is a refreshing lack of fast food franchises. The local hardware store has sufficient variety, sells ammo and also has an aisle dedicated to some basic RV supplies. You can get propane on site or in town.

Overall Rating:

Quiet, well-kept park with lots of trees, mountains, and rivers throughout the park. Dubois is the closest city to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, so that is why we chose this park. Easy to navigate to the site, but I saw plenty of Class A's and Fifth Wheels struggle to get through some of the trees. Plenty of bathrooms available and they were spotless & cleaned every day. Very quaint park and designed for those that want to get away for a little while. Because this place charges a high premium, standards for judging this park should be quite high. I stayed for a month, and they charged over 1100 dollars (they said 950 over the phone). The owners were very hospitable, but some of the employees didn't seem to want to help. Wifi was absolutely terrible, and the electric went out a few times throughout my stay. If the price was similar to other parks, this place would get a 9 or maybe a 10. But when you charge a premium, you better deliver. However, I would absolutely stay here again and encourage others to do the same. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We always enjoy our stay at this RV Park on the Wind River. The site was large and we could park our tow vehicle beside our motorhome. There is plenty of room between each site also. We had a river view site where we could watch the Geese and their babies feed in the grass area near the river and swim in the River. The Cottonwood Trees were shedding this time of year so it looked like their little piles of snow on the ground at times and the bugs well bugs will be bugs no matter what time of year. We will return to this park whenever we are in the area!!! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were fortunate to stay here for 2 weeks. We stayed at one of the back-in sites on The Wind River. Longhorn is one of our favorite RV campgrounds. Lots of tall trees. Plenty of space between sites. Facilities were well maintained & super clean. Beautiful scenery. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Big Horn Sheep Interpretive Center, Cowboy Cafe, The Bistro, Pony Tracks Gift Shop, Welty's Historic General Store. Stop in Horse Creek Gallery & chat with local historian Monte Baker. His moose antler carvings are awesome. Several other art galleries & gift shops in town worth visiting. If you have time drive out to Torrey Lake and look for the Petroglyphs (Ancient Indian Rock Art). Longhorn RV Resort also offers awesome horseback trail rides into the Badlands!

Simply love this park! Beautiful location on the Wind River. The back of our coach is overlooking the river where we see the rushing water and an assortment of birds, deer, etc. Trees everywhere and most are Cottonwood (shedding during our stay). Sites are VERY spacious and almost all have good shade. Most days were pleasantly cool in the evening and just right in the day time. Can get rather windy and the mosquitoes were doing what they do. Staff were kind, polite, helpful. Small camp store. Riding stables on site. Dubois is a small cowboy town that depends on tourists during the season. The drive to Grand Tetons is about 60 miles and to Yellowstone is about 80. Beautiful drive but...rather long for old folks like us. Our site was fantastic. Biggest "front yard" we have ever had and we had a nice picnic table and fire ring. Wood was only $5 per bundle. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a wonderful experience. The good neighbors didn't hurt at all. The park was very clean on the inside and outside. The spaces were gravelly and level. The huge shade trees were welcomed during the very warm afternoons. Our lot was not the widest available in the park but was adequate. We had only allocated 4 days and nights and did our best to visit the Tetons and Yellowstone. We wish we could have stayed a week. We will certainly be back and stay for at least a week. Thank you Longhorn Rv Park. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lovely campground next to wind river. We could fish right out of our back door. All sites are big and roomy. Lots of large trees give the place a natural feel with plenty of shade. Only three miles from Du Bois and easy access off the highway. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast available for a small fee. Souvenir store in office with some RV supplies. Playground and fire pits.

This site is awesome because it is private and looks right at the river with a large grassy yard. The only weird thing is that the hook-ups are on the opposite side ep you have to drag your hoses under the camper to get to the power source but this was ok and we loved the site. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rustic, well maintained park on the banks of the Wind River, shade from mature cottonwood trees. Gravel roads and pads, but dust was not a problem. Great internet signal and access to the sky for our satellite dish, newly fenced dog park. Some back in sites require a long back-up to enter, causing some guests to cut through other sites to make access to their sites easier. Except for the last issue, which we raised with the office, it was a great place to stay for a couple of weeks. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stopped at the Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort enroute to Yellowstone National Park. On our outbound journey we arrived after 11pm. After hours check-in was very simple. Envelope with spot number and map to locate included. Because of our late arrival and our comment on our reservation about being new with a big rig, they upgraded us from a back in river front, to a "Big Rig" river front pull through. Made everything very easy. This is a beautiful resort on the river with spacious spots. No crowding in this resort. Hosts were very nice, friendly and accommodating. It was quite and peaceful right on the Wind River. We liked it so much, we booked a night on the return. When we arrived on our return, we pulled in, hooked-up and then decided to add a second night again. We love this place...did I say, quiet, peaceful and incredible views! We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice and well maintained campground, with friendly staff at check in. Interior roads are dirt/ gravel and big rig access is good. Our site was very spacious, with plenty of room for our tow,the gravel pad was level. Very quiet with plenty of privacy around our RV, lots of shade trees, grass, picnic table, fire ring and deer that came through the property, we had wonderful views of the mountains and Wind River.
