Newer park. Lady owner was very cordial and gave us a tour upon arrival. Wide roads make it very easy to back into sites. 30 amp FUP site, very level, gravel, good water pressure, WIFI good. Shade trees have been planted recently so there is none presently. Very clean park and the owner works hard to keep it that way! Laundry has 4 washers, 4 dryers at $2 each. Many workers here but sites are kept clean...except for children's toys and chairs left about. Would recommend that short-term travelers be given sites in a separate area as workers have a community and should be together without those of us passing through set in the middle of their RVs. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

National Historic Trails Interpretive Center and Ft. Casper Museum & Historic Site are worth your time to tour.

Park appears to be fairly new. It has a all dirt/gravel (roads and sites). Each site is very large with ample spacing between each which includes a patch of astro turf and a small tree. Our site did require a little leveling as spots had sunk, probably due to rain. I could see this place being very dusty with wind and possible muddy if it rains. We used it for an overnight stop so it was just perfect. Wi-Fi was free and worked well. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is all dirt/gravel so very dusty, especially when the wind blows. The astroturf placed at our pull-thru site was covered with sand/dirt so was not very attractive. The sites were small and the cable TV package poor. The wifi was very good. The exercise room needed better treadmills and the TV in the room needed better speakers to be heard. The management was very nice, however the park was in a dusty, industrial part of town. Spent a week here in a 42 foot 5th wheel. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not a lot of excitement in Casper, WY. Casper Mountain recreation area was very nice for hiking along with the water falls of the Rotary Park. There is a city walk along the Platte River that is a nice walking trail.

We stayed 10 days and our rate includes a weekly rate plus 3 discounted days. We were parked in a new section that was just recently opened. The host was very helpful and allowed us to select one of a couple of sites that would best meet our needs. The astro turf patch and picnic table met our needs nicely. This is Wyoming and there were times when it was extremely windy. In spite of that, the dust from the gravel base was not a problem. There was no usable natural shade at our site. The wifi worked well as did our AT&T wireless. The day we arrived the campground hosted a free barbecue. The mall in Eastern Casper is about 4 miles from the campground. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Four historic wagon trails pass near the Casper area and we spent several days investigating the history of the American West.

A bit off the path but easy in and out. Check in was easy with a friendly clerk. The park has a simple layout, large level sites and solid utilities. It was still crazy hot when we were there but even without trees for shade we stayed comfortable. We would rather have satellite than large trees so it worked out. We didn't notice any eating establishments so we ate leftovers. We'll be back. Remember this area is in the high desert - no grass to speak of. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our way from South Dakota to Utah and couldn't have wanted for a better stopover campground. Yes the facility is newer and therefore the trees young and small. The owners have made up for this however by adding astroturf at each site and in the playground. While close to the highway it is far enough away so that highway noire is not an issue. The campground host (Lois) must be one of the friendliest and most helpfull we've ever come across. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest we've seen, including two home-style bathrooms in the main building. Great laundry facility and the game room is pleasantly without electronic games and stocked with movies for the flatscreen as well as a new fussball and pool table. This is not a destination campground for your vacation but as far as stopovers go, this is one of the best. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a newer park. All the facilities are exceptionally clean. The trees are young and small. There aren't large grassy areas, however, the owner has put out sections of faux grass to give a greener appearance. Might bother some. It's a very friendly park and the owner/manager is very accommodating. We arrived late without reservations and were turned away but then she remembered that someone wasn't going to make it that night for their reservation and ran out after us to stop us. We ended up with a riverfront site for the night. Lovely. The bathrooms and showers and laundry room were absolutely the cleanest I've ever used. We were there during a huge thunderstorm and a group was having a family reunion. She let some of the tent campers with the group put down sleeping bags in the recreation room so they could sleep. We would definitely camp here again! Strongly recommend calling ahead for reservations as it is usually full. The WIFI was good and worked at our site at the far end of the park. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

This campground is in an industrial area on the east side of Casper, along the North Platte River. Flights of geese were passing overhead. The gravel spaces are level, each with astroturf pad and picnic table. The restrooms are in good shape, two “home style” restrooms in the office building, then a separate building with group shower/restrooms. The host was friendly & helpful. The campground was almost entirely full of with pipeline workers employed on a nearby project. In spite of this (and the fact it was a Saturday night), the campground was relatively quiet; the only noise was from the midnight shift at a nearby industrial building. It rained steadily during the night. I did not try the Wi-Fi. Cell phone reception was good. We stayed in an Aliner popup on September 14th, 2013; the rate (with a Good Sam card) was $19. We’d like to go stay again when the weather is better and the campground less crowded; it would be a good place to stay if you were floating the river. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Not what I consider a nice place to camp. The facilities are non existent, except you can get Direct TV reception. No internet that worked and more dust than I have ever experienced. There is NO grass or even weeds. The noise from the oil pipe fabrication factory next door is 24/7 and very loud. There are only 3 spots available for travelers as 47 of the 50 spots have permanent resident trailers. I would like to say something nice and that is the staff were very nice. The park is not suitable for most big rigs unless no other options. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

I come to Casper annually to fly fish on the N Platte. I've stayed at each of the RV parks in this area. Lacking in mature trees this park is still by far the best. Yes, there are many semi permanent spaces. They all come here because there is a lack of housing. The staff is friendly. A lot of places to walk your dogs. The sites are level and clean. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Motorhome.

Large all gravel parking lot. No shade. Next to oil field fabrication plant working 24/7. Almost constant high level noise. Trains delivering fab plant material. Park is clean and would make a good overnight stop if not for the noise. Staff very pleasant. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff at registration. Good level gravel sites. Wi-Fi and cable TV were good. Park is next to North Platte River about 5 miles east of Casper. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for overnight stay on our way from Teton to Custer S.D. More or less a gravel parking lot. Full hookups with fair cable. Lots of campers look like they lived here. Fab shop near by, that works 24 hours, so there is noise at night. We would stay again if passing through again. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean, well-run campground. Sites level, good hook-ups, artificial grass at each site. Good wi-fi. Park was full, mainly local oil field workers. Friendly staff and other campers. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
