Called in advance and was told there was nothing available. Wife called back 30 min later, one site available. Checkin was a breeze. Tight turn into N loop. Leveling our coach was a bit of a challenge but got 'er done. Very expensive and the most we have ever paid for a RV site. Moved to the "low rent district" the next night. We would not return. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Okay for a NPS facility run by private concessionaire. Park was full, so reservations well ahead are needed. Gravel/dirt sites were NOT level and slanted 20+ degrees downhill (side to side). Many bears and other critters roam the park so keep all foodstuff and pets secured in RV! $4.50 to use showers 8am - 5 pm only. Same hours for laundry, but very expensive. Sewer, water & elec. connections ok. Restrooms ok. Most sites are tight & well shaded so you may not be able to extend awnings, etc. Many dog walking and hiking trails; some campers allowed dogs to run free w/o leash on trails and in campground. No cable, Wi-Fi only at resturant. Satellite very spotty reception due to trees. Verizon no reception. Will come again just to be close to sights w/i Grand Tetons. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Beware of Bears! Don't miss the guided boat cruise (seasonal) of Lake Jackson. John Colter resturant was okay, but not fantastic; only option at Colter Bay. Best chili at Flagg Ranch resturant.

No Wi-Fi, must go to laundromat for internet connection. Cell phone service is poor except for Verizon customers. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Jackson Lake and Colter Bay Village.

What can you say about an RV park that is in such a beautiful location but is so overly priced and overly used. I guess they can charge what they want and most likely don't feel they need to upgrade. I can see paying the higher price but I should expect a much better product. The spaces are squeezed between pine trees and every space is unlevel in one direction or another some better than others (plan on using additional leveling blocks). We stayed in a 36' motorhome and had to find the sweet spot front to back to minimize the front wheels from being completely off the ground. All they need to do is regrade and gravel the access roads / spaces and that would turn this from a Good park to an Excellent park. But that will never happen so enjoy the surrounding areas and pack extra leveling blocks.

An additional heads-up: I believe the picnic tables are designed and built by and for the tiny forest gnomes because if you're of normal human size you'll have a challenge sitting down and struggle get up. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The picnic areas on the lake are fantastic for taking photos of the mountains and sunsets.

Easy to locate, many amenities on-site, access to lake and great view of the Tetons. Camp sites were easy to access. Gravel

sites with Picnic Table. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You are a few minutes away from a great Lodge for dining , a great camp/grocery store and laundry. The hiking trails are endless with awesome views of the Lake and Tetons. We drove to Lake Jenny in our 27' Class and were able to find parking despite construction. The drive to Yellowstone, about 19 miles was scenic. Plan on spending several days to take in all the area has to offer. There were no traffic delays in September.

Showers are outside the RV Park proper in Colter Bay Village, but since we had full hookups, they weren't needed. You can walk to the showers, grocery, and to the beach on Colter Bay itself. The grocery in the Village is pretty complete, but the prices are high. The RV Park doesn't have fire rings, so no outside fires, but the no-hookup national park service campground next door does have them. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Kayaking requires state inspection fee plus park fee, and you can put in on the Colter Bay beach IF the water is calm, which it wasn't most of the time. A good calm put-in is at String Lake on the road to Jenny Lake. There's a paved bike path from Jenny Lake down to the Visitor Center at Moose.

Located in the heart of the Tetons, this is a great park. We had no problem maneuvering our 38 foot motorhome into our assigned pull-through site. The site was level, clean with adequate spacing between sites. We were located close to the lake that afforded spectacular views and a beautiful beach. The staff is professional and accomodating. There is a great visitors center, marina, grocery store, laundry facilities and restaurant. Laundry facilities were reasonable with more than enough machines. Showers were $4.00. Restrooms were clean. The Activities Center can arrange tours, dinner cruise and other activities. We wish we could have stayed longer. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Faithful is a little more than hour away. All the splendor of the Tetons - wildlife, falls, mountains, etc. are within short driving distance. Don't miss the fresh pastries and hot coffee in the grocery store nor the huckleberry ice cream!

Great National Park camp sites. I didn't have any trouble with our 40 ft RV getting into site. All hook up's worked great with room between sites. Showers were not in park but was easy walk to them. The only complaint I had was that they needed to trim some of the trees in the camping sites. Visitor center, grocery store and two restaurants within a easy walk. No Wifi or TV and spotty cell reception. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Coulter Bay Village Campground is all about location; it's located in Grand Teton National Park so it's convenient to most everything in the park.

Check in was easy, especially considering that there were several of us in Class A MH trying to check in at the same time. Ladies at the check in counters were most gracious.

Our site was sloped but nothing that leveling couldn't fix. The site was listed as 50' but it was tight with a 40' class A. Still, we were within 300' of Jackson lake so that more than made up for any inconveniences. Site was gravel and hookups were ok. Again, you're in a National Park so we were just grateful to be at a location that had full hookups. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Incredible sunset views of Jackson lake at the end of the campground. Also be sure and visit Jenny Lake.

First, it's wonderful to have full service RV hookups in a national park, and especially one as beautiful as Teton. There are limitations: there is no wifi (sit outside a building for poor service), marginal mobile coverage, notably unlevel campsites. However, you're a 5 minute walk from the lake, restaurants and a marina and visitor center nearby, the campground is forested. And the reservation and on-site staff are extremely helpful. Make sure to have the breakfast buffet (or bunch on weekends) at the Jackson Lodge about five minutes up the road. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Tetons. Jackson. See the Rodeo.

The Grand Tetons are beautiful and a great place to visit. Most sites are pull-through and have sewer, water and electricity. There is no internet, ATT cellphones only work outside and that was not 100% of the time and no tv/cable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A shower was $4.25, the laundry was okay. Funny how some people claimed dryers before their clothes were finished washing, I mean really! Overall this is a great place to visit but the cost is way overpriced. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

We have really mixed emotions about this campground. The location was terrific for exploring the Tetons, but it's a very long drive into Jackson for supplies, dinner out, etc. Moreover, it rained quite a bit during our stay, and the sites are dirt. So, we had a muddy, muddy mess, as did others nearby. Friends were supposed to meet us there in their RV, and I talked them out of it due to the mud. It was awful. The staff were courteous and helpful. Cell phone reception was very spotty, and the only internet access was in the laundry facility. There aren't many good options in the area, so we might stay here again if it's dry weather. Otherwise, no way. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

We stayed her 7 years ago and this RV park is showing its age. Very few improvements have been made since then. We asked not to be parked in a mud hole but we were anyway (14 days of rain). Some sites had new gravel and most did not. They say the sites all have gravel but it is now mixed in with the dirt so you now have dirt sites. I saw lots of rigs with 2 to 3 inch leveling blocks under one side and ours had to have 2 inch blocks to be level. The bathrooms in the park are dated and in need of updating. Water pressure is too high, so bring your pressure regulator. The trailer across from us had a drip leak from the high pressure and the neighbors next to us blew a waterline inside. This park is run by a concessionaire but they have no say in improvements or do not make any. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The grocery store is only marginal at best, so you'll have to go into Jackson for a real grocery store. And that is an hour away.

Our experience at Colter Bay was much better than the campgrounds in Yellowstone. The people here were very helpful and friendly, the RV sites were not terribly close, and there were trees all around. All pull-through sites, so it was easy to negotiate the turns. One big negative was the lack of cell phone (Verizon) or Wi-Fi strength. They did not allow campfires, which made me happy. Our site and the park are very picturesque. We would come here again.
