This park is pretty with a lot of trees. Getting in with a big rig is pretty tight but we didn't really have any problems. The site was probably the most level one we've stayed in. My one complaint, besides the place being overpriced, is that the day we got there I asked to move into the empty campsite in the row right in front of us, I even said we would move the next day since there was someone coming in the night we got there. The office person took about 10 minutes looking at his computer and then offered me 3 other sites that were $30 a night more than the $109 we were already paying. We decided not to move because the price was already very expensive. Then we sat there looking at the spot I wanted to move to sitting empty the entire time. Super irritating! FYI, the spot we wanted to move to was the same price as the one we were in??? We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Motorhome.

Yes,that's how much we paid for a pull-through 30amp site with poorly situated utilities. The fire pit was just outside our door, but to avoid it I had to pull out beyond the reach of my electrical shore line. We solved that problem by pulling the picnic table over the fire pit to keep from accidentally falling in at night. When I complained about poor signage I was told "I can refund your money and you can go on down the road." (I regret I did not take him up on the offer, but I was very tired after a 400 mile drive that day, and the thought of trying to find an alternative in August late in the day led me to stay.) Turns out, there were full hookups INSIDE THE NATIONAL PARK for less than half what I paid here!. One positive: great wifi even though we were far from the office. No dog park, but a great place for dog play nearby. (See below) , We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a park on the river just north of the intersection of Wyoming 22 and 390 that is a great place for dogs to play off leash in the river. I got the phone number from looking up "Jackson Campground". Turns out there is no signage with that name, but one sign says "Fireside Resort". There were many small driveways adjacent to the entrance driveway which was very confusing, and the traffic on the road makes slowing down to look difficult.

This is not a resort. There is no pool, spa, play areas or dog parks. The sites, for the most part, are very close with hookups in strange places. Our neighbor's sewer hookup is in the midst of our outside living space, just a few small steps from our fire pit. The fire pit (all fire pits in the park) is a hole dug in the ground with some bricks haphazardly places around the edge. The grass has grown too high. The service is great, with friendly staff and quick responses to problems. The wifi is one of the best we have had in a park. Very expensive for what it is, but close to the National Park, Jackson, Teton Village and more. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Motorhome.

"Premium" site was tight and barely enough room for 37' MH+car. Could not put out awning due to close tall shrubs (but they provided some shade). Grassy area had small potholes that you couldn't see (grass was thick) so walking was a bit treacherous. Fire rings were just a small hole in the ground lined with a few bricks. You hope no one will use them because you 'll choke on the smoke. Picnic table was OK. We only ended up in here because there was nothing else available when we booked months ago. And I guess they take advantage of that! This was the Most expensive rv park we ever stayed in. WiFi was good, staff were friendly. As other reviewers have said, their aren't many good options in this area. The good here is that the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rest is really disappointing. First, this is not a "resort". There are no amenities beyond pretty good wifi. No cable, pool, playground, exercise room or clubhouse as you would expect at a "resort". The sites are gravel, not really level and very narrow. For a big rig, the turns are very tight, but doable. There are plenty of trees so satellite reception could be a challenge. We looked at all the options and the reviews and found this to be the best option, but that's not saying much. My guess is this is an old park that has new ownership & management that should either invest in or drop the "resort" from the name. Tips for other Campers:

There are sites without tree overhang. Ask for one. The Tetons are to the east and most sites line up patio side to the west. The "Roadhouse Restaurant & Brewery" just down the street has a new chef & is more of a gastropub than the BBQ theme that shows up on website reviews. As disappointed as we were with Fireside, it was the exact opposite at Roadhouse where we had an excellent meal.

This is hard to rate because the park is so incredibly expensive. However, unless you reserve months in advance, you can't get into one of the national park or forest service campgrounds. The local KOA couldn't accommodate our 37 foot rig. Long story short, we were stuck. Our site, 92, was located on the exterior edge with beautiful woods and a stream around us. The site was gorgeous and quite long. The water and electrical connections were appropriately placed but the sewer connection was uphill and behind the camper. The WiFi connection was OK. The laundry was exceptionally clean but there were only 4 washers. The park was very quiet. Jackson has an elaborate network of paved biking/walking trails and the campground is adjacent to one of the trails. The location in Wilson was ideal for exploring the national park and for enjoying the amenities in Jackson Hole. So, the biggest beef with this park is the price. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We sucked it up and did 2 nights here JUST to see the things we wanted to see in Jackson. We paid $275 total for this 2 nights! The park IS close to most of what you want to do in Jackson. So if you plan ahead, you can see and do a lot.

The sites are RIDICULOUSLY close together. And the stray cats roaming around leave a bad impression. As do the "permanent resident" campers. Lots of personal items strewn about, but yet the rules say you can't even put out a rug or a mat! They might want to relook at the big picture. We stayed at the fireside resort on Moose Wilson Rd the week of fourth of July. The spaces were EXTREMELY tight, although we were told by staff at booking, that they were spacious. That isn't true, fire pits are too close to other campers, and we were not able to extend our awning and slide out at the same time. So we did not use our awning. There is only one road in and out, and it gets blocked up that you can't get in or out. We were very disappointed with this park. There are much better values in Jackson Hole. We will not stay here again. Very expensive and certainly not worth the money. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We booked the campground for a week but left after just a couple of days because it was overly crowded, very noisy all night long, poor management and no supervision when there is a problem. We will never go back and stay there. It was a terrible experience and ruined our vacation. They moved us from our original site so I don't remember the site #. First, if you get the chance look at reviews on their website. I posted pictures of the "RESORT" there and since deleted them from my phone. So when you call they will say they have one spot left and you should take it because all other campgrounds are full. When we arrived they were maybe a fourth full and we stayed all three days because you pay up front and no refunds. We did go to rangers station and they gave us many other places to camp for much less if you can do without hookups for a few days. They charge a resort fee and when I compared ours with others it appears to be a little different for everyone? Mine was twelve dollars and change others were around fifteen. What is it for I don't know. The pool is busted and cracked plaster, no water. The fire pits are a hole in the ground. Very close to your neighbors and a Teton tax on your bill as well. I could go on and on look at the website; just awful. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Motorhome.

The single most expensive RV Campground I have ever stayed at. Wouldn't have given this place a second glance but due to local events all other campgrounds were full and the place where I did have reservations was overbooked.

About half the sites at Fireside are ridiculously narrow and close together. I got one of those :( We were so close to our neighbor on the passenger side that we couldn't put the awning out. And on the other side it was either put our slider out or the neighbor on that side put out his awning. We compromised by having him only put his awning out halfway. Pretty sad site design. There were sites crammed into every nook and cranny and many were much worse than ours. I never before had to consider just how unpleasant it is to have to listen to the trickle of running sewage because the neighbors dump hose was only 5 feet from our front door. The little grass patches between sites was deceptively uneven and riddled with potholes. I ended up turning an ankle bad enough to cause me discomfort for the next week or two.

This place did have the best wifi we encountered on this trip. The signal strength average, as reported by network stumbler, was more than -50 dbm (very strong - about 4-5 solid bars) and the network speed that was achievable averaged 60 mbs. Cell phone, on the other hand, was pathetic. This is Verizon territory and the best I could get was -75 dbm (1 bar or less) and there was a lot of dropout. Couldn't use my Verizon hotspot.

Definitely wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend this place to any family or friends. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Most expensive park that I have ever stayed at - but not much to offer in FHU RV sites in this area. However, during the three nights we stayed here, each day we saw active wildlife in the park. A plus for me. Sites were very close together, but utilities worked well. Shade trees also. Laundry room very clean, but could use an upgrade. $2 to wash, $2 to dry. We stayed for 6 nights. I really love the park and the area. At first I was disappointed that it wasn't closer to downtown Jackson...however that quickly changed. We had a good week of rain and it was wonderful to be here. Felt like I really was glamping in rugged Wyoming. The property is cool. There are fabulous cabins in the front and there is no sign that says RV park. Be prepared to turn right, almost immediately after the Calico Italian restaurant. Pull through the slim driveway through the cabins and head to the back. It was quite expensive, but I suppose that is the nature of Jackson Hole. We saw many moose on the road. Our highlight was a black bear that came right up to our door and was galloping through the campground in the rain. Wifi was adequate, but not great. The laundry is pricey, but very spacious and clean. This CG attracted a wonderful group of campers. Would definitely return. Loved all the trees. Picnic tables, fire pits and pull throughs included.
