This park sits up on the hillside. There are a few sites that have views of the town. They are more $. We got there late and it was the only site left, so the manager gave it to us for the non view price.
The staff is very nice and helpful. The restrooms are small private bathrooms with the sink, toilet and shower in a small room. Very nice and very clean.

This park is very close to Sinks Canyon, which is a must see State Park.
We would stay here again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Site was easy in but hard to find space for tow vehicle. Good wifi and AT&T. Easy satellite set-up for us. (moveable dish). Did not see as many junky trailers as others mentioned. We would stay here again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you take a tour of the nearby Eagle Foundry. It surprised us that it is one of the largest in the US. Tour was very interesting.

Great stopover on our way to Yellowstone. The campground sits on a small plateau overlooking the city of Lander and the mountains in the background, The stay is worth the view!
A little tight but, adequate - gravel surface, clean and well kept. My wife did our laundry and had no problems. WiFi OK and phone service good.
Great staff - we would definitely stay here again! We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Had site GB9. There are sites to the immediate left which makes leaving extremely difficult as you need to leave to the left. Close to town. Sites are level. Staff is friendly and helpful. Laundry and bathrooms and very clean with the bathrooms being very private. There are 3 washers and dryers. Dryers run for 45 minutes but if you have a heavy cotton load will not get dry. 30 amp outlet was up down which kept me from using my surge protector. Stopped because I needed to do laundry. I prefer the exclusion of State and Federal parks, I would not stay here again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a smaller RV park right in town, and very convenient to shopping necessities. It's up on a bluff overlooking town so some of the sites have a view, and even though the road is close you're shielded from much of the traffic noise. (Not that Lander is a bustling metropolis with lots of traffic, anyway.) However, since Wyoming can tend to be windy, we chose not to have a more exposed view site. Our site was wonderful; close to the office so the wifi worked extremely well. We had trees on each side of us so that our picnic table was in the shade but the trees didn't interfere with our satellite TV at all. Garbage cans are at every 2 or 3 sites so you never have to walk far to dispose of garbage. The only disappointment is that there isn't really a great place to walk our dog; she is a larger, energetic dog so a large field nearby where she could run would have been nice but it's not a deal-breaker. The roads and sites are gravel but that doesn't bother us. The sites are adequate in size; not as large as some parks we've been in but large enough that you can at least put your awning out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We only intended to stay one night but after receiving information about things to do and see in the area we ended up staying three nights. We would stay here again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lots to do on the Loop Road. The office staff will probably give you the map and info when you check in; if they don't, ask.

Street presentation needs improvement. Derelict 5er greets you at the check-in stop. Friendly staff. Back-in "view" sites have pedestal at the wrong end (had to borrow a 50 amp extension cord). Token landscaping with trees and adequate separation between units. Gravel sites are okay for big rigs. Restroom/showers are "private" and a quick glance suggested a clean and modern setup. Quiet location. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lander, WY, is a cute little town, nestled in a valley as you wander towards the Grand Tetons or Yellowstone. A must-visit is the Sinks Canyon State Park and experience "The Sink" and "The Rise" of the Popo Agie river. A visit to the Pioneer Museum on the north side of town (free admission) is interesting. Do ice cream at Ken and Betty's, downtown.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same park! Yes, the staff are excellent and very helpful. But the view is mostly of the car dealership and other businesses...mostly closed. The hills and mountains are in the distance.

There are numerous sites occupied by junk campers...the worst one at entrance. They claim to have a water park, but it appears to be only a fire hydrant type device that they turn on when necessary.

It is convenient to the area though. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Interesting entrance way, sharp turns with a steep hill; but once into the park there is sufficient room to navigate a large rig (we have a 36' RV). The campground sets on a high bluff so the views are nice. I must comment on the Owner - she was constantly out on the grounds cleaning, watering, etc...nice to see and it shows. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Small town with little to do in it. Like most of WY one must be prepared to drive long distances to stay entertained.

Not our favorite campground. After reading the other reviews on RV Park Reviews we felt this would be the place. The wifi really doesn't work. The grass between our site and others was not mowed. We originally had what appeared to be a pretty good site but they decided to change us to a "view" site. This was a pull in for a motorhome and so we were door to door with our neighbor but a whole ten feel apart. We were parked between two permanents. No cable. Park owner lives here and the area around their home is a pig sty. We have a 25 ft motorhome and can't wait to leave. Would not stay here again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall a great campground with AWESOME views! Ask to be by the campsites overlooking the town with the view, amazing! Friendly/helpful management, clean showers and laundry. Space were smaller than we like due to our very active 2 dogs, but it worked out ok because the space next to us was empty. There were not fire pits at every site, so our 6 year old was a bit disappointed. We stayed overnight, and took in the sights at the local Sinks State Park. Great place, we would definitely go back! We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Facilities all worked as expected. Restrooms/showers were very well maintained. Park owners/staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice town and region. A few sites have a town view, but the road noise on the hillside offsets the view over the car dealership and the valley. Sites are a little narrower than we like, but adequate for a big rig with multiple slideouts. Biggest drawback was the number of dogs living/staying at the park and freely roaming loose. Reasonably well behaved dogs, but doing what dogs do: hanging out when BBQ'ing, sitting outside the door when cooking, dog poo on the doormat at the step and in the site (although the owners regularly pick up after their dogs), generally roaming our site and checking anything we're eating/drinking/doing. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Sleeping Bear every year for the last 8 years on our way into the area for hunting and on our way out of the area. Always clean and the folks are always nice. It is the best campground in the area. It is just off the road, up a hill to buffer the street noise. My hubby is a light sleeper and road noise bothers him. But at Sleeping Bear it is not an issue. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

Nice spot on top of the hill over town. They offer a few sights with a grand view to the west for extra $. We were just overnight so we stayed in the middle. Gravel and some grass between sites. Pretty close together, but no worse than most. Restaurants within walking distance. Pretty nice town that we need to come back and explore.
