We travelled from central Texas and stayed in 7 different RV parks and Sleepy Bear was by far the nicest. It had shade, grass, trash containers at every site and dog poo bags throughout the park. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park sits up on a hill with nice views of the surrounding area. Utilities were placed in the right area and functioned well. Spaces are tight with neighbors very close. Tough area to find a place to hook up a toad without blocking other campers or roadway. I felt the price was too high and would stay elsewhere next time. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. Big rig friendly with level sites. Showers and Wi-Fi were good. Did not use laundry. No dog park but two grassy dog walks to walk dog. Campsite had a beautiful view overlooking the town and the mountain. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Mr D's Grocery, restaurants, and downtown was less than a mile. Sink Canyon State Park with moderate trail to Popo Agie Falls was beautiful and worth the 6 mile trip. Eagle Bronze Foundry was 2 miles and worth the tour.

Real nice spot overlooking town. Clean restrooms and showers. Lots range from sunny and open to shady. Site surface was gravel and dirt and featured a picnic table.

Pay an extra buck to park overlooking tow. You pull in forward. Just adds to the Wyoming feel. View worth it. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry sign off the main road is small so you'll want to keep an eye out for it. Drive up the hill and park to go in the office . Staff are very nice. and the other RVer's are great too. This park sits up on top of a hill with awesome mountain views. Lanes within the park are wide enough and gravel. We are in site 1 which is 70 ft long. and on the end. Sites are gravel with grass on the sides, a picnic table and inground fire pit. There are some nice size trees too. Utilities are well placed and work well. Park WIFI is very good. AT&T Cell works well. Verizon Broadband works well. There is no Cable TV. Satellite works well. Propane is sold in park. There is no Dog park nor pool. We have not seen any bugs. There is no restaurant or cafe in the park. Can't wait to return to this great RV park for a much longer stay next time. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Upscale park, probably the best in town. You can walk to restaurants, but be aware it's a steep uphill walk coming back. Very busy as the eclipse was about to pass through the area. Many supersized rigs. No problems. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are coming from southern Wyoming, you will pass through some breathtaking scenery. Red Canyon, just outside Lander, is an amazing display of colored rock and erosion at work -- yet a river bordered by green meanders right through the middle of the canyon. Must see!

Nice park, well maintained. Several view sites overlooking the valley, but those spots are pricier - $48. The view looks out over a warehouse, so thought that was too much to pay. Found it a little pricey for our spot at $40, but apparently that is the rate these days. Nice lawn area by sites, so enjoyed sitting out and having our glass of wine. Quiet up here on the hill. We would stay here again, but for more than one night. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

If you're tired and dusty from the road, this is a welcome place. The water features including pool and fountains are delightful. Bathrooms are individually set up with toilet, sink and shower. You can do your whole routine as if you were home. The view is spectacular. Staff is welcoming. The sites are extremely close to each other. Yet even though the campground was packed during my visit, it was quiet at night. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

Staff was very helpful. The park is very clean. The roads are tight, but navigable, so, with care and caution, there's no problem. The sites are level. Good water pressure and electricity. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient right off the highway. We showed up in a wind and rainstorm so things were a bit messy. Roads are gravel and tight. Check in is a bit tight. Staff was o.k. Sites are level and gravel with a grass patio. Nice views of mountains. No cable. Over the air tv was good. Utilities worked fine. Restrooms were clean. Fine place to stop for the night. Great hosts, clean washrooms, small clean laundry, reliable wifi, few tv channels on antenna. Prefer back in sites looking back onto town but they were full when we arrived. Pull through still okay. First time we've seen recycling bins in a while. Easy walk down the hill to nice town. We stop here every year. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for 2 nights in a pull through with enough room for toad. Staff came out to site to make sure SAT TV was ok and it was. Nice level site of gravel with grass, table and fire ring. Very friendly neighbors. Used showers and they are private and we're very clean. Wife liked that we could shower together. Camped at Sleeping Bear in a motorhome.
