2 Parks near Lusk, Wyoming
Jul 2015 - $35.00
I knew this was in the middle of town, in a residential area, from other reviews here. But it is little more than a parking lot.
Let me explain...It is a nice parking lot. It is a parking lot on both sides of the street. It is divided into sites, each with a picnic table covered by a roof on polls. There are patches of grass that are well maintained between the sites. The pads are gravel covered and pretty level. There is a building with small bathrooms and a laundry.
BUT, it very small with no trees, not really what I would consider a campground.
It is perfect for our needs....a place to park, plug in and rest as we travel through Wyoming. There isn't much around here...it is very clean and well kept.
The manager is amazing...great customer service. She called us the day we were coming in to check on us and stayed late to show us our site and assist. She is very friendly and helpful.
The small park across the street does make up for lack of trees and is nice. - GranNan06
Jul 2015 - $40.00
This campground is perfect for a quick stopover, with long pull through sites. The lady at the office is very nice and helpful about visiting the area. The sites are basically in a gravel parking lot, fairly close together, but with a picnic table, and all very neat and clean. It is very close to both Route 85 and 20. The laundry was economical and very clean also. We would come here again. - dbcordello

A true gem of a small in-town park. It makes you feel like part of the quiet community of Lusk. It sits right across the street from a nice little town park with a playground. They have about 20 sites, all sizes, level, full hook-ups, grass between the gravel sites. Plenty of room to get in and out of sites. Covered picnic tables at most sites. Nothing fancy, just clean, safe, simple, good quality service. The owner/manager is great. Perfect overnight stop. We'd stay there again in a flash. - Lenore
Sep 2015 - $18.00
Rated low because this park(?) sits on a wind-blown hilltop with zero amenities offered, which makes a $36.00/night fee a bit high. Thankfully, we used Passport America and received a half-price discount. The service was fine, although we had to go looking for the manager/owner who is the only staff member for the office, and was "in the field" when we arrived to check-in. A good-enough place to stop over for the night. - SeenAll50
Jul 2015 - $30.00
A nice place to get off the road and get rested. Park was almost empty except for a few long term rigs. The owner was very friendly and full of information about the area. We would stay here again. - NM Fish
Oct 2014 - $38.00
Prairie View Campground for us and now we're here. I was somewhat taken aback by a charge of over $38 for an RV park as stark as this one, lacking in amenities. Supposedly we received a more level site by the person that walked to our site. But the site wasn't level from left to right nor front to back. Points off for that. All gravel, which I understand is an improvement this year since where we were was supposedly all dirt last year. Very close to a highway 20, with lots of loud truck traffic. And don't forget the wail of the train about a half mile away. Sites a huge, though. We didn't have anyone directly near us, although we did see a significant number of folks who live in their travel trailers permanently to what appears to be some sort of construction workers. The office also doubles as a coffee bar. Interesting concept for Lusk! - raynardo
