We have stayed here about 6 times over the last several years and always enjoy it. This is a nice, quiet RV park about 1 mile from the interstate. It is always neat, clean and well maintained. There is not a lot to do in the small towns nearby, but if you want a break from being on the road, this is a great spot; like a small oasis in the Wyoming high country desert. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

What a find! About 60 miles West of Rock Springs, Wyoming on Interstate 80 (40 miles East of Evanston, WY), we had pretty much decided we were in for a night of boondocking and happened upon this gem in the desert. The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer nor more friendly and welcoming. While everything was grass and gravel/dirt, that part of the country is traditionally dry enough that mud is probably rarely a problem. The entire campground was nicely manicured and watered every day and, in additional to the expected KOA store, they also featured a kitchen in which they would prepare your ordered items and deliver them to your site. Not only would we stay there again, we have put them on our list of "must stop" locations. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a stop over to go to Fort Bridger Historic Park. The pull through sites were long and flat. Spacing was close. It is just over a mile off highway 80 along a Wyoming state highway. I mention that for folks who are sensitive to highway noise. There was very little noise here. There was a BBQ that uses briquettes. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient off and on except lots of road construction. Old KOA their electric systems need updated. Kept going out. Sites close to each other. They do water regularly so green grass. Only one person seemed to be working there. Old worn out picnic table, should be tossed. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.

Easy on & off of I-80. Wifi is slow. Water pressure OK. Although we are in a pull through site, to get out will not be as easy because of the site design for this park. I would have to pull out hard to the right, straighten out, back up and then turn to leave the park. Very strange layout. Sites are set in an "H" pattern. Sites are also not very level. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sadly these days another overpriced KOA. $36 for just w/e. Park grounds and sites need refurbishment. The restrooms and showers were very good and clean and Wifi was robust. Mainly overnighters as easy access from I-80. Staff lovely and very welcoming. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night traveling cross country. The park is off I-80 about 1 mile. The sites are mostly pull through and easy to navigate. Owners are courteous and helpful. Pool was warm and clean. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for overnight stay. We had the end site facing the street and while we had some traffic noise we had a serene view. We also had someone come in next door and there's not a lot of room between sites in the buddy system. This is a grassy park which was appreciated. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.

An older KOA in an area without a lot of traffic. Very few people here, but the staff here was very helpful and nice. Laundry was clean, everything is well taken care of, but older. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Travel Trailer.

No road noise from I-80 a rarity for a KOA. We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop" style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. We're right across the road from the restroom/showers. It's an older 50's type facility clean & neat. Shower stalls are private with glass doors and very tight 3x3 I think - so is the adjacent changing area with a little stool/bench for seating, plus rubber floor mat for feet as you exit shower; includes a couple of hooks, but would like to see shelves added for your stuff. Also need hooks and shelves at the shared sink/vanity area. Updating the place including new fixtures would do wonders. This is Wyoming after all and is more of a campground, not an RV Park per se. Gravel roadways and somewhat roomy, level mixed gravel & grass site pads with picnic table; large pull through site can accommodate Big Rigs. Some staggered back to back ~ back in sites; grounds include rental cabins and clean swimming pool, and tent sites all on flat ground. We've been here 4 time now ~ and will be back We camped at Lyman KOA in a Travel Trailer.

They have teens running the office and they do not know anything about the park, the Wi-Fi or the things to do around town.

Spaces are fairly level on a mix of dirt/grass/gravel. Restrooms are OLD and need better maintenance/cleaning.

Wi-Fi did NOT work at all, even up in the office, and the kids in the office just said, "Oh, some times it works - some times it doesn't."

Even the owner (dad) could not get the Wi-Fi to work. This would be expected if there were a lot of campers here, but the place was just about empty.

If you just want a place to sleep for a few hours, I guess this would be ok.

We will never stay here again. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.

An older KOA. Grass and hard packed dirt sites that were level. Both 30/50 amp pull-through sites available, but offset with your door facing your neighbor normally. Water pressure OK. WiFi pretty good but requires login 2-3 times a day to stay connected. Staff were friendly. Very little shade. We were fortunate to snag one of the few with afternoon shade. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We had a pull-through site which is really a pull-in site. If the place was full it would be difficult to leave as turns are tight. Luckily someone left so we could go through their site. The voltage was low at 110, TV got 2 stations. It was easy access from I 80. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.
