2 Parks near Moorcroft, Wyoming
Sep 2015 - $22.00
We were fortunate to pick this destination and simply arrive, and get a site with W&E on Labor Day weekend. It's a popular place & there are lots of families, boats, kids, ATVs. We didn't realize there are 9 campgrounds here & 4 fee gates so study the map and know where you're headed. (Office hours are 7:30 -3:30). Many of the campgrounds are dry. All have pit toilets, adequate but we are glad to be self contained. Our site was fine for our 36' coach, with room for toad in front, a table & fire ring, tall trees and view of the water. Con: roads and sites are dusty gravel & the dust blows. However, the lake is stunning and we put our kayaks in easily at a beachside launch area. There is an excellent paved trail to the marina, playground area, small store, motel, several launch areas and plenty of space to enjoy this gem. Wyoming State Park system knows how to do it. - Gma Terrie

This is a Wyoming State Park, which are fairly rustic, but certainly doable. We had a nice view of the lake with lots of nice shade trees. Easy access and plenty of space in-between your neighbors. Not much around for amenities, so make sure your refrigerator and cupboards are stocked. We traveled in a 37' RV. - M LaFarge

Sites in this park are ample, but the loops are a little tight for larger rigs. Our site was also not very level. There is a paved bike/walking path alongside the campground which was nice. Our site was up on the hill with a good view of the lake, but you can also get waterfront sites. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed here in a 5th wheel. - Bobbi1948

The Rangeland Court Motel and RV Park is both a clean, nice motel and small RV Park. The pride of a great small town place is evident and the owner Malinda has a true gem on her hands.
The sites are back ins and limited to at best 40 foot. FHU is at the back roadside corner and in a unique idea. Connections are buried in an old oil drum and the drum top covers it all up if not being used.
Solid Verizon, 4 bars but the hotel WiFi was somewhat hit or miss. - Gary Camp-Inn

Nice little park at the rear of a motel off the main street. Good 50 amp, AT&T is good. Some road noise because of location and an occasional train. The neighbor across the street from the campground parks a trailer on the street and that makes backing into the site interesting. Management is friendly and open to suggestions. - walt66

We stayed here two nights while we visited Devil's Tower. This motel/RV park had 5 sites next to the motel that were gravel and very level. All were back-ins. Water pressure was great. Hookups were easy to get to. Owner was very helpful in getting us backed up. The main street was a bit noisy as it was one of the roads leading to Devil's Tower. The West Texas Cattle Trail Museum was across the street. Nice place. The drive up to the Tower was lovely. We would stay here again. - Lastrick
