This park was a pleasant surprise after reading previous reviews. It was amazingly laid out to provide large staggered sites with lots of wooded space between and no lined up neighbors. It was very easy to drive into and out of the sites. Although the sites were unpaved, they were level, long & wide. The trees were all nicely trimmed and the grounds were well-kept. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It was a very peaceful & pleasant place to stay. The price was very reasonable for this location. Loved it! We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Set in groups of mature pine trees, the distance to the next site is measured in yards, not feet. Although very expensive, we felt it was well worth that expense: privacy and nature all with the needed hook-ups. No wifi, phone, or cable. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and I know there will be many more. We believe this to be the most beautiful RV park setting anywhere! We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a gas station with store, gift shop, restaurant, etc. located just outside the South entrance to Yellostone NP, still with the Tetons NP. Easy drive to some of the most beautiful places anywhere! About 1 hour's drive to Old Faithful or to Jackson Hole. Jackson Lake with fantastic views of the Tetons is very close.

If you cannot get a spot in the Fishing Bridge campground give serious consideration to staying here!

We were camping in a 42' motor home. The only thing good about this park is the location. It is somewhat close to the southern entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the Snake River. Here's the bad - it is clear that no money is being put back into this park. There are large potholes everywhere. It is a very dirty park - very dusty or very muddy. When it rains the potholes flood making it impossible to avoid large potholes. Way too expensive for what you get. Also, the people in the restaurant are not friendly. I'd say keep driving or stay in West Yellowstone at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Dirt sites were very dusty. Bathroom showers needed some work, as minor as new shower curtains. For the price the campground offered little except it was close to Yellowstone and the Tetons, although it really was a drive to either. Laundry facilities were expensive($2.50 wash and $175 dry) I probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

An overpriced, dusty, crowded marginally maintained campground/RV park. We spent 4 nights there recently with our daughters and other family members. For the price of 4 campsites we could have stayed at some of the best motels in Jackson. The camp/RV sites and roads might have been graveled/graded at one time but now they are mostly had packed dirt covered with a layer of fine dust. The toilets/shower houses are sort of clean...if you arrive right after the janitors finish their rounds. Another issue: this place does NOT honor the NPS Senior Pass 50% discount. Expect a discount of only 20%. If you are traveling to/from Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons avoid this place. The Forest Service has several small campgrounds nearby; check them out first. If all else fails, keep driving. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 2.5 months traveling out west, this was the worst campground I have ever stayed in. Roads are simply dirt and full of large potholes, sites are dirt as well. The front of my electric box fell off when I set up and I had to repair it. You could not site outside because of the dust. This is a location on Federal land, leased to an operator. They do not put a dollar into maintenance and it shows. Location is convenient to YS and Tetons so you might hold your nose and stay there. However be aware it is a dump. The sites are level and I believe all are pull thrus and the park is big rig friendly. Yes, this Is close to Yellowstone and Tetons so it is pricey, but it's the only other full hookup campground within 50 miles so it is what it is. Yes, it is dusty but we are camping. The services worked great and the check-in employees did a great job. The restrooms and showers were as clean as can be expected with a campground this large and there is plenty of hot water. Plenty of shade at most sites and NO cell service, TV signals or WiFi. This is camping old style at its best. The fires in the evenings felt good cause it did get chilly in the evenings. The camp store and filling station is convenient. We would camp here again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Office was not easy to spot but check-in was easy. Park layout not easy to follow without map - no signs. Mature trees helped with some privacy. Our spot had a water main leak so had some flooding which caused us to move to another spot our last night. We were very close to restrooms until that last night so a lot of foot traffic. They don't let you pick your spot - first come first serve. Pricey for a poorly finished park with no paving but really no other options for full hooks ups in this area except one other park. Very close to Yellowstone entrance. We did see bear and cubs on the road early morning off the highway. Good water pressure. Electric flickered on and off during the night so glad we had surge protector attached. Tetons and Yellowstone are amazing. We enjoyed our stay and, if we return, will likely come back to this park. When they say no cell phone service, they mean it! Very few areas with signal when traveling from south of Tetons to north end of Yellowstone. If you want to be within 2 miles of the south entrance to Yellowstone, this is your place. If you want to be off the grid, no satellite or cell signal, this is your place. Old campground that needs a lot of work. As others have mentioned the sewer hookups are way up in the air. I saw several that the connection was higher than the dump point of the unit. We came home on a rainy afternoon to find a lake enveloping the entire front of our MH, 3-4 inches deep. When I asked to move to higher ground the gal running the desk just said "we're full". Fortunately the Assistant Manager was there and he sent the Maintenance guy over and he brought buckets of road fill and built us a bridge. Water drained away slowly but with continued rain it continued to be a problem. Bless that maintenance man. Satellite hookup appeared to be nonexistent to spotty at best. I saw some folks using walk out antennas that were enjoying some success. You drive either 22 miles north to Grant Village for a cell signal or South about 20 miles to Colter Bay which also offers wifi in the restaurant and laundry. Recycling at Flagg was interesting. We were thrilled to have some recycling available but disappointed to see the recycling guy take the bags out of the recycling container and carry them directly to the dumpster on more than one occassion. Bright spot in our stay here was they brought chocolate chip cookies around on several afternoons that were delicious and much appreciated. We won't be back to Flagg Ranch. Staying down the road at Colter Bay would be our future plan. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Should be called Dirt Ranch - only stay here if you must! This is a run down, nasty park. It's not a lodge...only tiny cabins and the campground (where we stayed in a motorhome) is nothing but dust. The dust rolls all day as people drive around - the vehicles and rv's have layers of dust on them. It's awful. The entrance to the building in the front of the "ranch" has a restaurant and small grocery is filthy and needs maintenance. We had to walk over bird doo and trash. The cement walk up hasn't been maintained in years with deep and wide cracks. And the best part, there are 4 satelitte dishes on the top of the building but they don't offer wifi to their guests. I'm ashamed that this is a representation of the US to the many foreign travelers. Management and the Parks should be ashamed of themselves for keeping the park in this state. I understand old but filth is another thing. Clean it up, add some concrete pads to lessen the dust, fix the walkways, add grass. Oh, and tell your RV check in people to be nice and helpful not acting like they are doing the guests a favor by letting them stay in this pit. Never again! We had reservations for multiple days and as soon as we saw the situation we reduced our stay. And if you have a pet, good luck! they will be either muddy or dirty if you take them outside. We are full time Rv'rs and this is the absolute worst campground we've ever stayed in. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

We liked the convenience; the laundry was open 24 hours, we had full hook-ups, there was a restaurant and gas station right there. Expensive and we got a deal with the America the beautiful passport. We asked for a different site and were given a few to choose from, we asked to use a ladder and they had the maintenance man bring one for us. No cell coverage in the campground. Dirt / gravel site in the woods, not level, huge space between sites but often filled up with people in hammocks / tents, utilities ok, no satellite reception, no Internet or even cell service, quiet between 10 and 6, overpriced but 30 minutes from Jackson Lake. We had rain the afternoon and night before making us concerned about negotiating the sharp, dirt roads out of the park. Fortunately we got out without much problem. There is a diesel gas station on site along with a store and 1-star restaurant called Sheffields. The campground host was friendly and helpful - the staff in the lodge were not friendly and gave out incorrect information to us. Would stay here again. Big issue was we were told check in time was 4 PM instead of the correct 2 PM time. This messed us up! They got hotel/RV times confused. Space OK. Signs in park confusing. Good parks tell you where to be when checking in so you're pointed the right way. Showers, restrooms dirty--didn't use them. Laundry room--leaking ceiling, dirty machines. No cell, no Wi-Fi. Guess I should have asked about this first. Not just this park, but the entire area. Not a good location--central area of Tetons would have been better for us. Front desk people nice and helpful. Propane, gasoline easily available. Boat cruise not worth it. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Way overpriced for what it is and we received a discount, without the discount the price is $75 a night!. The only reason to stay there is for the location. Roads are dusty, sites are dirt and the 1st site assigned to me was too narrow, had to request a change to a different site. My surge protector tripped every day due to low voltage. When we arrived the weather was on the cooler side, after a couple of days the weather warmed up after which we were inundated by mosquitoes. After a week we were very relieved to be leaving. There also is no WiFi and even worse no cell phone. We will not stay there again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.
