There are several RV campgrounds in Rawlins and as nearly as I can tell they're all gravel with tightly spaced sites. No ambiance, looks like mostly blue-collar resident trailers although it was quiet on a Sunday. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Wouldn't want to stay more than one night, and there's no particular draw for the area except for "the world's most modern refinery" (Sinclair). Full hookups are adequate, Wi-Fi is TengoInternet but free. Small laundromat and mini-store on site. Staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Easy access to I80, can see the park as you exit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Interior roads are gravel and quite bumpy. You are led to site by staff. Pull-thru site plenty long to get in and out of. Good 50 amp power. Staff recommended the use of a water regulator due to high pressure. Laundry room open 24/7 and very clean. They have a courtesy shuttle into town if you wish to stay hooked up, we did not take advantage of it. We would recommend this park and would stay here again if passing through. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
A good place to stop overnight. The staff is great. Campground is gravel lot, no shade or trees. Neat and tidy. Suitable for a stopover. I didn't use any of facilities or Internet but services (water & electric) were good. We camped at RV World Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice office. They give veterans discount and mints for your pillow. It's pretty much dirt and gravel so very muddy when raining. You can hear the trains but not loud like some parks we've been. Internet was nonexistent on my phone. Computer would probably work. Didn't use cable. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
We were given a site that was muddy so we requested a change and the office staff gladly accommodated us. We stayed overnight. The sites are mixed with transients and permanent side by side and spaces are not well-defined so our neighbor who appeared to be permanent had his stuff spilling over to our site. Internet is TengoInternet and you have to set up an account to log in. Cable was good. Nice dog park. We got dog biscuits at check-in. Very strong water pressure. The office staff will ask you to use a pressure regulator. Easy access from interstate. Would stay here again for an overnight. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.

We were traveling on I-80 during the winter storm & interstate closing. Due to the closure, I quickly looked for an RV park in Rawlins and found RV World Campground. My gloomy day was changed the minute I walked into the office. The young lady who checked me in was a ray of sunshine. We were escorted to our sort by a professional who knew exactly what was needed. The site was long enough for our 40' RV towing and was very level. This is Wyoming so don't expect landscaped sites. It was very clean and the service is just over the top. We will definitely stay here any time we travel I-80. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $27.00
We had planned to make it to Cheyenne, WY, but I-80 closed to light trailers, we went back and found this campground. She was so polite and graciously welcomed us. The winds were horrible but her kindness put us at ease! We would stay here again. A wonderful dog park. We camped at RV World Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $28.00
Clean RV park and friendly staff. A very easy spot to stop while driving I-80, but probably not many reasons to linger. No shade and the interstate noise was constant. Spacious and clean bathrooms. They have a fenced area to let the dog run around. Guests have to pay an extra $2 to use the dump site. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $32.00
Convenient to everything, neat and orderly, well stocked store, very friendly staff. Noise from trains and I-80 but didn't bother us a bit. Park was about half full with what looked to be some extended stay folks, but it was very quiet. We have always had bad luck with TengoInternet service provided by other parks, but this one was very speedy and I give it a 10, and it was free. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $26.00
This park is very nice and only the TengoInternet keeps it from a 10. The owners are very nice and accommodating. This rate reflects Escapees discount. Will stay there again whenever in the area!! We camped at RV World Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
We chose this site based on reviews. Although the area is treeless and sandy, the campground itself is pretty nice. 60 cable stations, full hookups, clean restrooms and laundry, and long pull-throughs, nice small dog area. The owners are friendly and gradually upgrading the place. We would definitely stay here again. Travel trip: get here early. We arrived about 3 and by 5:30 it is mostly full. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $29.00
The people at this park are the most friendly and helpful folks we have ever encountered! We travel with 2 dogs and 1 cat and all were given little bagged treats, as were the humans, as well of mints. The dog area is wonderful and they had a supply of balls for them to play with. Nice large fenced area where they can run. Baggies supplied as well. The office/store were very clean and well stocked with incidentals you might need. The only drawback I can see is that the sites are narrow. While our 4 slide unit fit there really isn't designation between our site and the neighbor's. Maybe if some large rocks or wood borders could be put between them. All this taken into consideration we would definitely stay here again and will recommend it. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $29.00
As others have said, the staff is excellent. The park is a gravel parking lot, but clean and maintained. Sites too close together for any private space but pull-throughs are wide and long enough. Restrooms kept clean. Office well stocked. Would stay here again. We camped at RV World Campground in a Motorhome.
