Hang onto yer hat... It gets quite windy here! This place is great for a passin' through stay. The laundry room is very large and plenty of washers and dryers. We have stayed here a couple of times and will again. You will be parking on a combo of clayish dirt mixed with gravel. If its raining you will have a mess to behold. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an alright place to stay 1 night. There is a nice view of the mountains, and the comments about being WINDY were not over exagerated. It's basically a big gravel parking lot with utilities. The sites are wide and long and level. There is NO landscaping. Our Dish satellite and Verizon Mifi worked fine. They offer cable for a fee, but free Wifi. We had 2 complaints. Several weeks before, we had made a reservation for 2 nights, but when we got there were informed they were shutting down the water the next day. We opted to only stay the 1 night. Also, noise from the highway (.3 miles away) and train whistles (.6 miles away) were a little bit too much. Not sure if we'll stay here again. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, well taken care of park. All gravel. Pet area. No trees or plants in campsite area. Sites are well spaced. nearly all are pull-thru's. Has a miniature golf course (think FREE), but not lit, so had to play early a.m. before it got hot. Two little cabins (no kitchen or running water), nice laundry (even has it's own shower)!! Fairly long wait too. Would return to this campground. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Ate at a 50's diner (Penny's) east of campground, but rather disappointed in breakfast.

Nice Park for an over nighter. Friendly staff. Not much around Park just gravel sites with a mountain view. Very quiet and restful for an overnighter. Would not plan to stay longer. Our site had shade. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

This is on the main road 80 . The traffic noise was constant . This is a parking lot with water and electric hook up . Don't have kids so I did not try out the play area; it is very clean. It's OK for an overnight stay. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

We ran out of time to get to our desired location, called and they had an electric only site for us. They have full hook-ups, with or without cable TV as well. Pull thru sites, and they spaced us every other one as folks came in, leaving good room between each rig. Decent wifi. Right off of I-80. One thing to be aware of; this part of Wyoming is a giant wind tunnel, and 40 mph winds are nearly constant. They strongly advise not leaving your awning out. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is all gravel with no grass and no charm. The sites are of average size and the hook ups are well place, easy access with wide roads. It had rained heavily and lots of big puddles bad drainage. The park is okay for an overnight stay and we would return if in the area. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

If you see rain or snow in the forecast don't stay in the undrained sites. This camp is gravel that turns to mud and three inch deep pools of standing water in inclement weather. It was easy in/out, had nice restrooms/showers, nice laundry and good hook ups. My only other complaint would be the side to side closeness of the sites. Nine feet between slides and the picnic table over the other guy's sewer hook up. OK for an overnight stay when the sun is shinning. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived in a rain storm. Ankle deep puddles and sucking mud. Not great for dog walking. When I did get to the dog park, it was nasty. Lots of poop all over. Other than that, is was an ok overnight. Probably fine when it is dry. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for 1 night in our 40' MH with tow car. Not sure if they had just put in new dirt/gravel and it must have rained before we arrived but the roads were a mess and walking in it was a disaster. Sites are wide enough but length is not well defined so it was hard to tell where to park. Cable and wifi worked well. Good for an overnight stay. This is the best park in the area !! Super wide aisles with pull thru's. We have overnighted here several times in the past few yrs. and I wouldn't stay any where else. You can choose a cable or non cable site. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Gravel roads and sites, easily accesible, level, flat open area, pull through. Cable tv, wi-fi - excellent. Small dog park and large dog park, secure. Laundry was spacious and in working order. You are at 7000 elevation. We stayed two days to catch up on internet and do laundry. Good park for that. Owner was helpful and friendly. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Rawlins is generally a one night stop and we look for someplace that is easy and convenient. The sites are large gravel with full hookups. However, you do need to specify that you want cable when you register. Easy to drive into the sites as the campground is very large. No tight turns or tree branches to avoid unlike the other RV park just down the road. That RV park looked like sardines lined up. Would definitely stay again.
