5 Parks near Riverton, Wyoming
Aug 2012 - $40.00
Kind of a sad little place and very over-priced. As others said, somewhat run down and needs a lot of work, though bathrooms have been renovated. Right next to the highway, so noisy up front. Lots of tents and residents in older rigs. Watch out for high voltage and poor water quality (as tested). Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine; no mention of Wi-Fi by office. Most sites in shade, not level. Sat TV instead of cable, not many channels. - Annie's Song
Jun 2012 - $36.00
Very friendly owner, well informed about local information and accommodating in order to get a larger rig in place (allows you to drive on grass or park vehicle in another site if you don't fit in the pull through available). The only reason we gave an 8 for rating is the site was not big rig friendly. This is not a resort so don't expect a lot. The owner is trying but the CG needs a lot of TLC. WiFi worked great. - SubSailor
May 2012 - $38.00
Expensive but it's the only thing in the area unless you boondock at the Walmart right down the road. OK for a one night pull off the road. We were early in the year and it just needs freshening up. Nothing impressive but adequate. Owner very nice. - westie0506
Jul 2016 - $36.00
Must have recently changed hands. Sites are dirt and not clean. Lots of weeds and many dead trees. Garbage dumpster was over flowing and looks very bad. Wi-Fi not good at last few sites and no cable or major networks available with regular antenna. Very dusty from people driving through park including park personnel on golf carts. They also drive very fast...
Manager was very friendly but over whelmed.
Not as represented in camp book. - D'art campizard

It was hot when we were there and would have been happy with trees. That said, there are trees but they are mostly in section C. Very quiet. There is a path that goes around the campground and we saw people walking it in the early morning. Tent camping area is nicely shaded and looked to have lovely sites. The campground is 1 mile from the Visitors Center. - Val Green
Aug 2014 - $30.00
The previous reviews made us skeptical of this park but electrical problems at a relative's home made a move necessary. We stayed here a week. Yes, weeds at the site, this is semi desert Wyoming. The Wi-Fi bogged down in the late afternoon and evening probably from demand. The signal was strong. The showers (25 cents/5 minutes) were individual/private and clean, worth the money. Laundry was as nice a laundromat as we have seen. Utilities were fine. Staff was great. As for the neighborhood, our niece walked home 3 blocks in the evening. It is not a resort but more than OK for short stays. - gumper
Aug 2012 - $12.00
This park caters mostly to full-time residents, with a a dozen sites or so for folks staying in the area for a few days. The rate we paid was for a month's stay; daily rates are higher, as you might expect. Electricity is extra, and we will also get an electric bill some time in the future. The sites are level and there is adequate space between the rigs, and the sites are shaded by trees. We had to adjust our position a bit in order to get satellite TV. The management was friendly, and was helpful in being sure we got our mail and packages from Fed-X. Washing of cars and rigs is allowed. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. - hoppytoad
Jun 2006 - $20.00
Poorly maintained park. The laundry room had 3 washers, 2 not working, 2 dryers, both not working, and a clothes lines outside for drying. The restrooms and showers were just nasty. It's located in town with no fencing around the park. An overnighter enroute maybe? - zookep9
Aug 2015 - $35.00
This is a smaller RV park right in town, and very convenient to shopping necessities. It's up on a bluff overlooking town so some of the sites have a view, and even though the road is close you're shielded from much of the traffic noise. (Not that Lander is a bustling metropolis with lots of traffic, anyway.) However, since Wyoming can tend to be windy, we chose not to have a more exposed view site. Our site was wonderful; close to the office so the wifi worked extremely well. We had trees on each side of us so that our picnic table was in the shade but the trees didn't interfere with our satellite TV at all. Garbage cans are at every 2 or 3 sites so you never have to walk far to dispose of garbage. The only disappointment is that there isn't really a great place to walk our dog; she is a larger, energetic dog so a large field nearby where she could run would have been nice but it's not a deal-breaker. The roads and sites are gravel but that doesn't bother us. The sites are adequate in size; not as large as some parks we've been in but large enough that you can at least put your awning out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We only intended to stay one night but after receiving information about things to do and see in the area we ended up staying three nights. We would stay here again. - Idaho RV'er

Street presentation needs improvement. Derelict 5er greets you at the check-in stop. Friendly staff. Back-in "view" sites have pedestal at the wrong end (had to borrow a 50 amp extension cord). Token landscaping with trees and adequate separation between units. Gravel sites are okay for big rigs. Restroom/showers are "private" and a quick glance suggested a clean and modern setup. Quiet location. - StephenK
Jun 2015 - $41.00
I'm not sure we're talking about the same park! Yes, the staff are excellent and very helpful. But the view is mostly of the car dealership and other businesses...mostly closed. The hills and mountains are in the distance.
There are numerous sites occupied by junk campers...the worst one at entrance. They claim to have a water park, but it appears to be only a fire hydrant type device that they turn on when necessary.
It is convenient to the area though. - DJanis

The park has closed.
I called to make reservations and the message said they had retired and the park is closed. - sfrantz
Aug 2014 - $30.00
This is a very nice small park, well taken care of. Large level gravel pads with manicured grass at each site. Lander is a small town with lots to see and do. Highly recommended. Better make reservations well in advance, if possible. - User3654
