3 Parks near Rock Springs, Wyoming
Jun 2015 - $10.00
This park is wonderful! A little out of the way but if you want to relax in a quite area, this is the place. It is beautiful to look at all the way around. I had read that it was hard to find. We didn't have a problem. Just 12 miles off the 1-91 and it is clearly marked. It is windy, perhaps that is just this time of the year. We did not use it, but there outside areas in every camp site that are covered. We saw all kinds of families using their patio areas.
Camp Host was friendly.....the whole experience was wonderful and we would come back again. - Brandl

High rating for the wonderful views. The views make it worth the long trip into the park. Really good gravel pads. Sunrise and sunset are absolutely unbelievable. - mjtesky

As other reviews have noted, this place is a ways of the Interstate but the roads are paved and in good condition. It is a beautiful location and a great place to just enjoy the peace and quiet, or to do some fishing and hiking. All of the sites are back-ins and have covered ramadas with tables. Some are double except as signed you pay only a single fee for them. There are no hookups but water is available and there is a dump station. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We will camp here again when in the area. The rate reflects our Golden Age discount. - hwybnb

Nice park with friendly staff. The park is a typical RV park off an interstate, very convenient but not very quiet and not a lot of privacy. - LarkspurRambler

This park is adequate for a quick one-nighter. - User2522

Not much to choose from in this part of WY, but this is a marginal overnight stop. Tons of permanent residents in the upper section, some of which think the posted 5 MPH speed limit doesn't apply to them, raising clouds of dust on the dirt (not really gravel) roads. The front looks over an area of oil tanks.
Positives: long pull thrus so no unhitching the toad.
Some ok hiking in the hills behind the park.
Nice girls at check in. - Drakelos

I agree with the other campers. Be sure to have a 50/30 amp adapter, as my site didn't have a 30 amp plug. All gravel. Not quite level. At the edge of town. We will stay again. - diceshooter60

this place has so much potential, yet it is a difficult and inconvenient place to stay. the sites are gravel and not level, but the most difficult thing to deal with is the placement of the hookups. they are inside a fenced area, and you have to walk around to get to them. this could be solved easily if they would just cut a gap in the fence in each site. but the sewer and water are still a long distance and you need plenty of length. it was nice and quiet, and has a lot of potential if they would just do a few minor improvements. - elizabeth123

As this is at a fairgrounds, you may want to check their website before staying here to see if the fair is in progress. No reservations, but lots of sites, all gravel back in, no shade. Some are not very level. When you get there, you must go to the Caretaker's house to register, be sure you don't take a site that isn't in service. There is an inconvenient fence protecting the hookups, I used a step stool to get over it. I would stay here again. - dzwelch
