Overall Rating:

As with all KOA RV parks this year, this was terrible value for money. This is basically a dirt and crushed rock lunar landscape throughout the park and there is no definition between the interior roads, RV sites, and every area inside the park. When it rains, and it did constantly during our overnight stay, the rainwater doesn't drain through the rock base. Rather it sits on top and the dirt surface turns to mud. That meant every time we stepped into our RV or car our shoes were caked in mud. The WiFi didn't automatically connect, so they sent a member of staff, who couldn't work it out. but the signal bar was so low it didn't matter. The cable was like snow, the same staff member tried to fix that too, without success. He said it's usually a bit better than that! Like not heavy blizzard snow picture, just regular snow picture. Train and highway noise. I would never stay here again, their mall would be better, at least its tarmac. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times before. It is spacious and easy to maneuver. Granted the campground is gravel, the dust didn't seem that bad. Sites could be more level but still no problem about leveling the camper. Fuel and groceries are close by and a side road to get to town without getting back on the interstate. Due to the closeness of the interstate there was a lot of road noise but that's the price to pay for convenience and would stay here again, even for several days. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

A Parking lot with a mud/gravel surface. The least attractive KOA We've stayed in. The only thing this park has going for it is little competition. We would stay here again only if nothing else of comparable quality was available. Rock Springs really needs to provide some options. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects using KOA Rewards. This park was perfect for an overnight stop for us as we motor west to east. It's easy on and off I80 and maneuverability is not an issue. The Park is mostly gravel and you share your patio area with your neighbor. Wasn't a problem for us even with the neighbors RV slide out "deck" over the bench of our picnic table! Thankfully we weren't using our picnic table. So you also share the hookup side with your neighbor but the boxes are separate and have the full range of power options. Overall we were satisfied with this park and would stop again. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Using the Campground address, my GPS dropped me off at exit 99 with arrival announcement just off the interstate with no park in sight. Just keep going east and sign is on the left.

Very nice park with easy access from I-80. We stayed three nights, most guests seem to be overnighters. There are a variety of spaces, mostly pull-throughs, for different size rigs. Sites are dirt/gravel and level; most are side-by-side so you will share your patio space with your neighbor. There are a few deluxe patio sites which are wider and have paved patios and privacy fences on both sides. Wide roads make for easy access. There is a large long-term section with back-in sites behind the main part; it is almost like a separate park. Staff was friendly and efficient and provided escort to site. Hookups worked fine. Cable TV with 33 channels, although about half a dozen didn't come in. No large trees, so satellite reception should be available most anywhere. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Good overnight stop for us. Site was level (gravel) and all utilities worked as expected. No problems leveling our RV or in setting up. We had site that faced another RV - no issues with this arrangement. Good size dog park for our dog to run around for a while. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed overnight in a 43' motorhome on the way to GTNP. Easy on-off from Hwy 80. Check-in was easy. Interior roads are gravel/dirt, very dusty. Big rig friendly. Our site was gravel/dirt FHU PT unlevel site. Utilities worked well. Doggy park is satisfactory but can use a lot of TLC... many prairie dog holes. CG was necessary stop on way to Tetons. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Fencing between very long sites. Hook-ups side by side. Nice Privacy. Needs TLC with regards to lawn maintenance. Free wifi didn't work - had to purchase "long term" service for our 3 night stay. Cable was fuzzy. Nice staff. Laundry a little pricey $5 for 1 load to wash and dry. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Well kept KOA that's close to I-80. Checked in without a reservation but they had space on the row closest to the freeway - didn't have cable on this row and the sites were VERY close together! As no cable we put up our dish but some oil tanks between us and the freeway sometimes interferes with the signal. Wi-Fi was fine and staff friendly. Mostly sand and gravel throughout the park and no mature trees to block the sun (there was nice grass in the dog park however). Don't if the other rows had bigger sites so check ahead for what's available. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is much improved from our last stay 7 years ago. It is a good park for a 1 night stop on the road. All gravel, clean with newly planted trees. Beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Friendly, helpful staff. Some spots are tight but for one night, not a huge issue. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Over $43.00 for a tent site with AAA discount. Decent tent site with 8' wall around it for wind break but grossly over charged. RVs roared through following KOA personnel leaving clouds of dust. No garbage cans anywhere to be found. Lovely view of gas storage "tank farm" and freeway next door. As a "Bonus" the 3 small showers are adjacent / share walls to the toilets. The walls terminate about 18" above the floor. Therefore you are 24" (or closer) to people crapping. Totally disgusting and bad. I needed a gas mask while showering! I hope the guy that was in the toilet stall next to my shower seeks medical help soon! Whoever thought up this set up obviously had no intention of ever using it. A gut wrenching experience. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Tent.

We chose a premium site with a fire ring, table, concrete patio and a wooden fence around the patio. This was a good idea because the wind was pretty strong. We heard that the high winds are pretty common. The site was gravel and not level. We needed to use our boards and the jacks. There is a very nice store with a lot of groceries and other supplies as well as clothing. The women's bathroom was sparkling clean, new paint and paneling on the walls both in the john area and the showers. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Stopped in this park overnight on our way to Grand Teton National Park. Except for the driveway in, the park is gravel and dirt and whenever someone drove by, we ended up in a dust cloud. Pull-thru sites alternate directions and are very close together. We had been hoping to sit outside but between the dust and the wind, decided not to. We had 4 bars 3G with ATT, but it was very slow. The Park WiFi was decent and the cable was OK, though a little fuzzy. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
