We stayed here in our 34' motorhome enroute to Yellowstone. The park is mostly gravel with some grass. Sites are very close together but we were the only ones there so it made no difference. Easy entry and exit. Utilities were fine and there was a picnic table. Nice view of mountains, sunset and a small creek. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right by the road but traffic totally dried up at dark. WiFi worked fine. Overall good place to stay. We camped at Shell Campground in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
There's a short hike nearby along the creek but beware of cow dung. There's a pool table in the check in area and lots of animal trophies and skins.

Great park. This park has gravel and grass sites. We were with friends and we were able to face our trailers toward each other with plenty of room in between to open awnings. We used a dish for TV and picked it up just fine. The owners have a Verizon cell phone booster, but it doesn't work for AT&T. The owners are very nice and will work with you if you need anything special. The park has a small store and an area with a pool table and TV if you need it. They also have cabins that look very nice but we didn't use them. They are at the foot of the Bighorn mountains. We will stay here again. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Down town Shell. Handy for exploring the Big Horns. Nice, friendly, mom and pop campground. Had been closed two years. New owners trying hard to get it up and running. Mostly gravel sites, close to adjacent campers, but a friendly hand shake and hello, and your neighbors are like friends. Laundry and restroom/showers are small but very clean. Nice bar and small cafe across the highway. We felt like we were at home. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
