Overall Rating:

Stayed for two nights to be able to do things in area. About 15 miles from Greybull, WY. Nice quiet campground, very well kept by a young couple. Shaded tent sites and cabins are also available. Small area for RV's but certainly adequate with some shade. They have Cornhole and free popcorn available. Enjoyed two types of local beer on tap from Ten Sleep Brewery. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Shell Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Park owners keep a tidy park thats in a tranquil setting, within a reasonable distance to many of Wyomings attractions. However, the park is tight for large motorhomes and 5th wheels Park only offers 30 amp electric. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stayed 10 days in 36 ft 5th wheel. Great small RV park that was extreamly well keep. Owners are very friendly, hard working and accommodating. Showers, toilets and laundry were well kept. We loved the location as it is at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. Excellent area for veiwing wild life, wild flowers and scenery in general. Also it has a very nice office and gathering spot. I injoyed chatting with the locals who stop in for coffee and home made Cinnamon buns. We also went on a day trip to Cody to see the sights. We will definitely use this RV park again. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shell is barely a wide spot in the road so it is nice and quiet even with being right off the highway. Was an OK spot for an overnight. Just feel not a lot for the price (maybe that's just me). We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is rather a pretty little park. It's located in the country in a nice setting. The downside is that it is located right by highway 14. This is a very busy road during the day that includes lots of motorcycles. Thankfully, it quiets down at night and we were able to sleep with our windows open. The owners are friendly and helpful. It's a bit overpriced for 30 amp but it's less expensive than the other parks in the area. Sites would be very close if the campground was full which it wasn't when we were there. They advertise big rig access but from our experience that is only true when the park is fairly empty. We would have needed some fancy footwork to get in and out of our site if we had neighbors. They only offer 30 amp electric service. It was pretty hot during the day so we had to police our A/C units and run only one at a time. All sites are gravel. In fact, the park is basically a large gravel lot with utilities placed as site markers. Utilities worked fine although the water had an irony smell. Some sites have shade and some are full sun. We were not able to get Directv in our site due to trees. The WII FI worked ok. It could be slow, and we got kicked off several times. There is no Verizon coverage. Even with the park's booster we only had 1X. It is close to Big Horn and all it has to offer. We would probably stay here again but when it isn't as hot. We camped at Shell Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in our 34' motorhome enroute to Yellowstone. The park is mostly gravel with some grass. Sites are very close together but we were the only ones there so it made no difference. Easy entry and exit. Utilities were fine and there was a picnic table. Nice view of mountains, sunset and a small creek. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right by the road but traffic totally dried up at dark. WiFi worked fine. Overall good place to stay. We camped at Shell Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a short hike nearby along the creek but beware of cow dung. There's a pool table in the check in area and lots of animal trophies and skins.

Great park. This park has gravel and grass sites. We were with friends and we were able to face our trailers toward each other with plenty of room in between to open awnings. We used a dish for TV and picked it up just fine. The owners have a Verizon cell phone booster, but it doesn't work for AT&T. The owners are very nice and will work with you if you need anything special. The park has a small store and an area with a pool table and TV if you need it. They also have cabins that look very nice but we didn't use them. They are at the foot of the Bighorn mountains. We will stay here again. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Down town Shell. Handy for exploring the Big Horns. Nice, friendly, mom and pop campground. Had been closed two years. New owners trying hard to get it up and running. Mostly gravel sites, close to adjacent campers, but a friendly hand shake and hello, and your neighbors are like friends. Laundry and restroom/showers are small but very clean. Nice bar and small cafe across the highway. We felt like we were at home. We camped at Shell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
