Smaller campground that is very clean. Nice road in campground with several 60' 50 Amp full hookup very level sites. 6o# water pressure. No trees for shade. Good WIFI connection and Verizon signal. Cable is available and no extra charges for anything.  Jim the host was very friendly and helpful. Very easy in and out to I-90. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park, owned and managed by two wonderful hosts. It is just off I-90 & centrally located to historic Sheridan. The facilities are clean and overall the park is well maintained. We stayed in the park for 2 ½ months. The owners grow fresh veggies that are given away to campers. The only knock on the park, keeping it from earning a 9 or 10 rating, is the very narrow campsites. In many instances, some sites are so tight you're unable to opening awnings fully. Also, while the majority of the sites are long enough for the RV and tow vehicle, keeping a double tow (truck, fifth wheel & second car/trailer/boat) hooked up is definitely out. Otherwise, it's a great RV park. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Unfortunately, the only choices in Sheridan are Peter D's and the KOA. We have stayed at both, and neither one is very nice. The campsites here (Peter D's) are so close together that if you want to sit outside, you practically have to sit on top of your neighbor's sewer hookup. Our camping neighbor actually apologized to me for dumping his sewer while we were around, and I felt obligated to wait until my neighbors left to dump mine. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all, but cable TV worked fine. The owner is friendly but a little too uptight about people driving the wrong way on campground roads or parking, even briefly, in the road. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owner is on site to manage and enforce the rules, he is very strict about park speed. He does not just sit in the office. The interior roads are dirt and are not a problem even the trash trucks creep thru the park. NO DUST. I would stay again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

The only negative about this park is the size of the lot. They are terribly close together. Regardless, it is a great place to stop. The owners are super people who work very hard to assure you have a good experience. They even gave us fresh spinach & lettuce from their garden. Nice, level pull thru with good 50 amps. The fenced pet area was very clean. The interior roads are very wide and well maintained. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Peter runs a very tight ship, aware of anything taking place, and if you step out of line in terms of the rules, he's normally right there reminding you of it - right there. Nothing wrong with that either - just know. The check in process was easy. The spaces are extremely close to the other rig, but they are all pull-through with room if you don't want to disconnect. The utilities are in excellent order. The restrooms are spotless, as is the laundry room. There's a nice dog run. There are no trees on the property - none. You cannot place a mat on the grass, which is so hard to grow in this area. You can have your mail shipped here. The interstate runs along the back of the property, but it's not a bother. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sheridan WYO rodeo with the Indian relay races are not to be missed. The Big Horns are amazing, and there a lot of things to do without cost. If you want some really good meat, slip into Sackett's. Golden Rule and Health Emporium also have organic veggies/goods. Farmer's market during the summer. If I had to do it over again, I'd stay in Buffalo and travel into Sheridan. I prefer the RV parks in that area because they have trees.

The park was very convenient to I-90 and the sites were mostly level and plenty long. The facilities were fine and the staff friendly. I thought it odd that we were asked to park our tow vehicle behind our trailer so "it would look more uniform" since motorhomes had their toads in the rear. Whatever. In the evening, we walked the neighborhood and found a cluster of ballparks with Little League games under way. A fun evening. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Friendliest owners we have ever come across. Went above and beyond to make our visit a joy. Know all about the surrounding area and gave us a few Day Trip recommendations as well as unique things to do right there in Sheridan that we would never had done without their advice/suggestion.

They say there is nutritional value, if you don't stay: Pete Don't Eat.

However, when we stayed, they fed us with fresh items grown in their own garden.

Highly recommend for anyone traveling through that way. You will want to go back again, we know we will. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access from I-90. No traffic noise. Site are very small but level. No trees or shade, our slideout almost touched the adjacent sites picnic table. There are no campground amenities. OK WiFi and limited cable channels. Great for overnight stay. Because of small sites and no amenities we would probably not stay again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park probably shouldn't earn as high a rating as it does; the sites are painfully close together, it's a bit pricey, and there's just the basic amenities, but "Peter D" and his wife are the most accommodating owners you'll find. Pete is a character who will educate you on the area and delight you with his stories. About half the park is now long-term residents, but outside areas were neat and well tended. The cable TV is analog and basic, but there are no obstructions to the TV satellites. The WiFi was slow and spotty, but Verizon cell/data were strong. Everything is well maintained and the owners will stop by and check to make sure your stay is comfortable. Our preferred stop in Sheridan. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed over the Labor Day long weekend. At least the 4th time we have stayed here. Peter D and Barbara run a very clean park. She also sells her homemade jelly, which is great. They're friendly, helpful, very nice hosts. You can see the park from I-90, but very little road noise. All utilities are City of Sheridan, city water, power and sewer. Easy in and out, and walkable to downtown. About 7 blocks. Stayed here in a 42 ft RV pulling a Jeep. Stay here everytime we go up I-90, even work our schedule to be here about 3:00 pm. Certainly will stay again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Sheridan, Buffalo Bill Inn, not just a name, built by him. King Ropes saddle museum. Mint Bar, opened 1907, clean smoke free, full of pictures of famous folks who have been there. Wyoming Rib and Chop House, and Wyoming Cattle and Creek Co are both very good for steaks, 2 breweries in town. Building the new Mars Ice Rink, lots of revitalization happening to a clean and historic city.

New laundry machines - not cheap (2.) but good. Nice location - nearby Sheridan Inn and other great restaurants and coffee shops. Sheridan is a good town worth a day or two visit.

The people here are very nice and informative. This park is away from the Interstate so it is very quiet. The utilities were adequate and the site was extra long and level, which was nice. My only issue is that the sites are really narrow. My slide out was right next to the neighbor's picnic table on one side and my awning almost touched the Motorhome on the other side. Still, it was a nice place for a one night stay. I would stay here again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Best campground for dogs! They have a huge area where they can play. You are in a quiet, semi-rural setting, but can still walk to town for a nice dinner if you are so inclined.

The owners are very nice and gave us squash from their garden.
