Very nice park. Owners on site and constantly working the grounds! Good utilities. Long level pull-thrus. Great laundry. Huge dog run. Owners very helpful! We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

The best part about this RV park are the owners. They are generous, helpful, conscientious, personable, outgoing, even in the face of hardship and inconvenience. The setting for the park is beautiful - surrounded by pastoral grassy fields and hillsides. I-90 is right over the hill, but we weren't bothered by noise. Perfect for taking advantage of everything in Sheridan - a great little western town. All the gravel sites are pull-throughs, kind of close together, and might be a little short for some rigs. Nice grass between sites. Great dog park at the campground and another really nice one nearby in town. Laundry and bathrooms are spotless. The owner grows veggies that she shares with guests gratis. We would definitely stay there again when passing through Sheridan. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

King's Saddlery and Museum on Main St. is a must! Also Sackett's Market is a great old fashioned butcher shop. Trail End and The Historic Sheridan Inn are also interesting.

Nicely maintained, convenient park with friendly owners. Convenient to the interstate but quiet at night. As mentioned before, beware the turn on to Joe Street. Sites are close together but long, fairly level gravel and the owner will keep spaces open on either side if possible. He furnished a stack of maps and menus while recommending places to visit and checked at the site each day to make sure we were comfortable. The WiFi was hit and miss depending on user activity. The cable was marginal but there are no obstructions to satellite TV. Verizon cell/4G were very good. A bit pricey but the location and friendly owners make it a worthwhile stay. We'll stay here again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sheridan is a beautiful place with a vibrant downtown. The Wyoming Chop House is a short drive and has excellent food. The Trail End Historic Mansion is exceptional and well worth a visit. A drive into the mountains on highway 14 is a must; we watched as moose grazed along the highway.

The turn from the main road on to Joe Street is a little rough for a 45' motorhome so be careful, take it slow. Sites are narrow and could use some fill to smooth them out but are fairly level. Good stop for a night or longer. Owners are vary nice and welcoming. Nice dog park. We would stay here again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small Mom & Pop park. Very friendly. Spacious pull thru, gravel and lots of grass. Open area for the dogs to run in the grass, that was the best part! The worst part, WiFi didn't work. Connected ok but didn't operate. We were on the far end of the half full park. In the early morning it worked fine. We would return but ask for a site close to the office/antenna. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Spring & Summer be sure to make reservations, it is a small pleasant park.

The sites are gravel. We stayed here for one overnight, on our way to Yellowstone. The bath house was very clean, as well as laundry. While we were away from the site, we sprung a leak in our on board water line. The owner kindly called us to inform us and he turned off the water to our camper to stop the flow. Upon returning to our site, as we were mopping up the water in the camper, he appeared with his shop vac and offered it to us. The vac really sped up our clean up task. Because we were in a micro camper, they kindly placed us on a site convenient to the bath house, without our needing to ask. In the right time of the season, you get to select from the produce in the owner's fresh vegetable garden. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We dropped off our camper at camp site and drove our car over the Big Horn Mountains. Awesome! We saw hang gliders assembling to take off from a turn off on the switch back climb up the Big Horn Mts. Great views! I would not want to be towing my camper up and down those switchback roads over the Big Horn Mts; glad I detached the camper at the camp site.

Very surprised at how nice this park was since it is practically in downtown but it is very nice and has a big sign about no extended stays! We pulled in to escape an early fall snow storm and were very comfortable here. The owner was manning the office when we arrived and she couldn't have been nicer. Very welcoming and even offered some fresh produce she picked that morning. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for one night in a 40' motorhome. The campground was well taken care of and there was a nice spacing between pull-through sites. Site pads are gravel and level. Water pressure and electric were good. I got 3 bars on my Verizon phone and my Millenicom MiFi got 4G LTE. No shade here, but, a clean pleasant campground for an overnighter. We would stay here again if passing through. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

This trip we have been privileged to stay at three parks with the outstanding best restrooms/showers we have ever had the pleasure of using. This is one of them; see also my reviews for Lander WY & Gardiner MT. This park is in a small swale on a low spot between the freeway and Sheridan proper. The roads are gravel. The spaces are gravel and only roughly level; there are relatively large grassy areas, picnic tables, but no shade trees. The spaces are nearly all amply large, quite long pull-throughs. There are no trees, which will make the big rig owners happy; nothing to get big rigs or extensions tangled up in. The owner obviously takes pride in his park; the whole area is clean as a whistle; my spouse even said the dumpsters were the cleanest that she had seen. The power, sewer & water connections were all in good condition and trouble-free. The restrooms (in a centrally located metal building) are also continually spotless, neat, and in excellent condition. The mens has three sinks, two toilet stalls, and three showers (one stall and one shower are designed for handicapped access). Although the shower stalls are somewhat small, the adjustable shower heads are on extension hoses, so no awkward contortions are necessary to get rinsed off. We stayed two nights in a popup trailer (Aliner), and paid $32 per night. We had not been to Sheridan before, and picked this park primarily because of the good reviews it got; we agree with those good reviews, and would be comfortable staying here again (although, because we tow a popup, and actually prefer trees, we might also stay at a Ranchester or Sheridan park that had trees). We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Close to the highway but not noisy. Friendly and helpful owner. Sparkling clean bathrooms and laundry room. All pull-thru spaces but they are a bit narrow. WiFi was very good. The park closes on Sept 30 for the season. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park was clean. The hookup for sewer was underneath the picnic table of the site next to us. The power and TV cable were more near the front middle of the site. We could not use use the cable TV because our 25 foot cable wasn't long enough. The person that checked us in was very friendly and even gave us some garden produce. When we put our slides out they were under the campers awning next to us, site was level but very narrow. I think I would look for a different place next time. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The reputation of the friendliness and the attentiveness of the owner is well deserved. The owner himself takes great pride in this campground, and treats you like you're a guest in his house. The offering of fresh veggies from the garden was a nice touch! This is a no-frills place to spend a night or two. While close to the interstate, we oddly caught almost no noise from it. The only big detractor here is that the sites are incredibly small; I think the narrowest we have ever encountered. On the plus side, the bathrooms are the cleanest we've ever seen. We'd stay here again if passing through the area. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate is Good Sam rate for one night. Rating is based on a one night stay. Clean, friendly staff, level sites, some grass, good interior roads, good phone and internet and quiet. Negatives would be tight spacing on the sites. Did not put out our awning. Would stay here again overnight. Simple off and on I-90, but didn't have any problem with highway noise. Cute little park. The only reason why I didn't give this campground a 10 is because the owner came across a little gruff about us having two children. The campground and facilities are well maintained and clean. You can tell the owner runs a tight ship which makes this place great. But he told me my 9 year old and 6 year old were not allowed in the restrooms without adult supervision. Other than that, the owner was super friendly and wished us well and waved to us when we left. Seems like a great guy who just wants to make sure people respect his campground so others can enjoy it. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
