We arrived at Seminoe without reservations and stayed one night. We had the campground mostly to ourselves and selected a beautiful waterfront pad. It was electric-only but we were able to fill up with potable water at the dump station. It was a quiet stay that we enjoyed. Only complaint is the rough, dusty dirt road leading into the park. We camped at Seminoe State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Seminoe State Park is about 30 miles north of Sinclair on Seminoe Reservoir. It's a paved road from Sinclair to Seminoe until the last mile which is a gravel road in decent condition but steep in spots. the interior roads are wash boarded gravel roads of a relatively steep nature. It's about 8 miles further to the miracle mile on the North Platte (on a nasty steep, tight dirt road not suitable for RV's of any type). There are two RV areas, South Red Hills and North Red Hills. North Red Hills is the larger one with the ranger station, playground, dump station, etc. North Red Hills has 8 large pull throughs suitable for big rigs. The rest are pretty small sites suitable for smaller rigs. We did not see South Red Hills. From the website it says 30 sites at north red hills and 22 at south red hills. I only counted 25 at north red hills. The "toilets" are pit latrines and they stunk something awful. (I mean from 50 feet away knock you over, awful). It was a not a busy time at the park (5 of the spots were full), there was no reason for them to be so awful. The trash bins were overflowing. The ranger station was unattended the entire week we were here. There is drinking water available at the dump station (and other spots) and you could fill your rig if you needed to. There are basically no trees and little protection from the Wyoming wind. There is a boat launch at both north and south red hills. This is basically a parking lot with big spots and a picnic table. For this, in the off season, we paid $17 a night. This is completely excessive, there was never anyone manning the park (might happen during the summer months) and there are no "amenities" except for the RV dump station. It was not clean, besides the trash bins and latrines, there was dog waste EVERYWHERE. There are no hookups of any type. My suggestion is to park in BLM land (which is everywhere around the park) for free and just pay a $4 daily use fee when you need to dump the tanks. For the price we won't be back. We camped at Seminoe State Park in a Motorhome.
