There are a variety of sites: FHU, W&E, pull through, back in, about a dozen tents sites, and several cabins. There are two levels with the office (store, laundry, bathrooms, game room) 14 FHU sites and all the tent sites and cabins, playground, and a very nice pool on the lower level and the rest of the RV sites on the upper level. As usual we had a fairly level, gravel, pull through, FHU site on the upper tier. There are almost 60 cable TV channels and most sites are satellite friendly. The bathrooms are older and clean but inadequate for a park with so many non-sewer and tent sites. Except for a hour in the afternoon. I was unable to use their internet connection in my RV. I could get it in the office but not at the site in the evening. The owners/staff are always helpful and friendly. I saw no recycling. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We arrived on an unusually hot day in July when the temp was knocking on 100. We were greeted by a friendly and efficient lady at the desk. She provided info on the area as she was checking us in. The best part was the voltage at the post read 120v and only dropped to 116v once the A/C came on. Overall, the pad is small and the only shade comes from the hill on the west side of the campground. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Even though the park was in town, it felt more relaxed and welcoming. There was a nice grass area in between sites, and there was more room to relax outside than in many parks we visited out west. The laundry room was very nice and the swimming pool was very welcoming. Wifi was slow, but it usually worked. This was a nice place and I would not hesitate to come back here. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Experience was good. Great place to stay just off the I-90. Just now trees are small but growing. Wifi worked ok. Sewer, water, electric all worked as should be. Tri-level parking on gravel but well groomed. Pool area and picnic area awesome. .Great location and terrific staff. visited Devil's Tower and Cindy B's restaurant are worth the stop. Owners are great. Good recommendation even if you wanted to work camp. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Despite having 4 wifi towers, where we were placed, there was no wifi. Walking up a hundred yards and sitting at a table didn't help either. Finally had to go into the office to obtain service. Sites were close together, dusty and not very level. Okay for an overnight stay but it's 28 miles from Devils Tower, if that's what you want to see. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground just off the interstate. Very quiet and peaceful. A little tight when trying to get into your site. Will stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a motorhome. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Campsite was very convenient to I-90 and surprisingly quiet given close proximity to the interstate. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Sites were level and easy to park. Not much space between sites but most guests only stayed one night. We stayed three nights. The restrooms were one of the nicest we've seen. Very warm inside with good lighting. Three shower stalls were literally sparkling clean. The view was not great at Mountain View. There are industrial buildings below and mobile home community above. There are some pine-covered hills beyond the mobile home community, but not a real scenic campground. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We didn't find much happening in Sundance, but Devils Tower is only 28 miles away. We spent the day hiking there and highly recommend visiting it. (There is a KOA campground at the base of Devils Tower that looked nice; definitely beautiful view from the KOA campground.) Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood are about 40 miles east. Wish we would have had more time to explore Deadwood. Spearfish Canyon is a nice drive.

Was given choice of lower level 50 AMP pull throughs with sewer hookup in the middle of the site or upper level better view 50 AMP pull throughs with sewer hookup at the far end. Choose upper level and pulled in far enough to clear toad. Didn't dump but not sure even with 30' of sewer hose whether it would have reached. Upon arrival internet was down. Contacted office and they reset their router and wifi worked well the first night with 2 other campers in the upper level. The next night with 3 other campers in the upper level, the wifi was terrible. Sites were gravel with grass strips between with a picnic table. Residential housing overlooks the park. Very limited security lighting. No fenced dog park but lots of grass for walking dogs with lots of deer and rabbit droppings. Rate paid included extra $2 for 30 channels of clear cable tv and Good Sam discount. Swimming pool was closed but nightly rate was unchanged. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight, the site are gravel and a bit close to each other. We had a pull through, but needed to un-hook to fit our 36 foot fiver into the site. Wi-Fi was weak, good for overnight, but wound't want to stay much longer, friendly staff. Good cable, but they charge and extra $2.00. This is a small cowboy town of 1,100 very nice, clean, and reassuring. The scenery is really captivating. This is part of the Black Hills Forest extending from South Dakota.
The park is carved into a hillside with a terraced design. The office is on the lower level, most of the pull-through sites are on the upper level. Very attractive tenting sites are located above and below. Once in place on the second tier, the view of the Wyoming hills is very cool.
The office is clean and neat, the store sells a wide variety of grocery, household, and rv supplies, as well as some interesting bric-a-brac, fun to look through.
The access roads are wide and easy to drive. The sites were wide, each with a picnic table. All sites and roads are gravel. The sites are level with well placed utilities, except...the sewer. For some reason the sewer hookup is in the rear of the site almost to the road edge. We didn't use it.
Wi-Fi was good once we got started. They have four hot-spots you have to find the one that works best for you. Cable is great, very clear with lots of channels. Even at a 2.00 extra charge, a good deal.
Grass and flowers in this area of Wyoming is a challenge, that ubiquitous red earth is everywhere. But with imagination and a lot of potting soil there are flowers and green lawns. There is also a small, fenced pool with pool-side furniture. All of the exterior settings are very well taken care of.
The bathrooms are clean and very bright. Bright as day, because there is a big skylight in the ceiling. Adding daylight to the existing fixtures seemed to make the room sparkle. Showers were also very clean, and hot.
The laundry looks new and is off the office so it is kept very clean and comfortable. The machines looked new.
This is a comfortable, safe, and secure stay. You'll relax and recoup your driving reserves. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A lot of folks use this park for South Dakota's Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, and the Badlands. I can't see going West to go back East again. But this is definitely the place to be for Devils Tower.

The owners here make this an excellent stop even though the area is not too scenic. Everything is in excellent condition and well maintained. Showers and restrooms are immaculate, and the laundry is spotless equipped with iron, ironing board, dish washing facilities and every convenience. The pool is very appealing, as is the game room equipped with pool and ping pong tables. Sites are fairly level, and utilities worked well. Sewer is too far back, but still accessible. Water pressure is very high so a pressure regulator is a must. The owners also give accurate recommendations on restaurants and attractions. A diesel fuel stop is nearby. Overall a very pleasant stop just off I-90, but far enough away to be quiet. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Water pressure was around 50 psi according to my regulator. Wi-fi was unusable. No fenced dog run. Lady at the office was very knowledgeable about the local area and scenic drives in the area. Cable is an extra $2 a night. Site was l0ng enough for my 41' fifthwheel and longbed truck. Camp is an easy drive to Devil's Tower. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here numerous times in recent years, My 8/13 review gives a detailed description of the park's sites, layout, and various facilities. As usual, we had a gravel but level, FHU, pull-through on the upper level. Most sites are a decent size, but larger rigs will have to disconnect. Many, but not all sites are satellite friendly. The office building is on the lower level and has the bathrooms, showers, and laundry (4 machines if I recall correctly). These facilities are older but clean and functional. There is a heated pool and playground equipment. As I noted in previous reviews, the sewers being at the entrance of the upper level, pull-through sites can be a problem for many RVs. For the first time we had a problem with their cable and their 802.11 connection. Most of the 60 cable channels were fuzzy to some degree and we were unable to connect to their internet at our site until about 10 P.M. Again this appears to be a "broadband hog" issue. They ask people not stream, Skype, etc., but the self-center jerks do it anyway. I saw no sign of any recycling. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We used this park as a base camp to tour Devils Tower National Monument and Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial Monuments. It was perfect for us. Sites were somewhat close together, but otherwise perfect. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
