Was given choice of lower level 50 AMP pull throughs with sewer hookup in the middle of the site or upper level better view 50 AMP pull throughs with sewer hookup at the far end. Choose upper level and pulled in far enough to clear toad. Didn't dump but not sure even with 30' of sewer hose whether it would have reached. Upon arrival internet was down. Contacted office and they reset their router and wifi worked well the first night with 2 other campers in the upper level. The next night with 3 other campers in the upper level, the wifi was terrible. Sites were gravel with grass strips between with a picnic table. Residential housing overlooks the park. Very limited security lighting. No fenced dog park but lots of grass for walking dogs with lots of deer and rabbit droppings. Rate paid included extra $2 for 30 channels of clear cable tv and Good Sam discount. Swimming pool was closed but nightly rate was unchanged. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Used this park to visit Devil's Tower, Buffalo Jump and Sturgis

We stayed here overnight, the site are gravel and a bit close to each other. We had a pull through, but needed to un-hook to fit our 36 foot fiver into the site. Wi-Fi was weak, good for overnight, but wound't want to stay much longer, friendly staff. Good cable, but they charge and extra $2.00. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small cowboy town of 1,100 very nice, clean, and reassuring. The scenery is really captivating. This is part of the Black Hills Forest extending from South Dakota.
The park is carved into a hillside with a terraced design. The office is on the lower level, most of the pull-through sites are on the upper level. Very attractive tenting sites are located above and below. Once in place on the second tier, the view of the Wyoming hills is very cool.
The office is clean and neat, the store sells a wide variety of grocery, household, and rv supplies, as well as some interesting bric-a-brac, fun to look through.
The access roads are wide and easy to drive. The sites were wide, each with a picnic table. All sites and roads are gravel. The sites are level with well placed utilities, except...the sewer. For some reason the sewer hookup is in the rear of the site almost to the road edge. We didn't use it.
Wi-Fi was good once we got started. They have four hot-spots you have to find the one that works best for you. Cable is great, very clear with lots of channels. Even at a 2.00 extra charge, a good deal.
Grass and flowers in this area of Wyoming is a challenge, that ubiquitous red earth is everywhere. But with imagination and a lot of potting soil there are flowers and green lawns. There is also a small, fenced pool with pool-side furniture. All of the exterior settings are very well taken care of.
The bathrooms are clean and very bright. Bright as day, because there is a big skylight in the ceiling. Adding daylight to the existing fixtures seemed to make the room sparkle. Showers were also very clean, and hot.
The laundry looks new and is off the office so it is kept very clean and comfortable. The machines looked new.
This is a comfortable, safe, and secure stay. You'll relax and recoup your driving reserves. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A lot of folks use this park for South Dakota's Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, and the Badlands. I can't see going West to go back East again. But this is definitely the place to be for Devils Tower.

The owners here make this an excellent stop even though the area is not too scenic. Everything is in excellent condition and well maintained. Showers and restrooms are immaculate, and the laundry is spotless equipped with iron, ironing board, dish washing facilities and every convenience. The pool is very appealing, as is the game room equipped with pool and ping pong tables. Sites are fairly level, and utilities worked well. Sewer is too far back, but still accessible. Water pressure is very high so a pressure regulator is a must. The owners also give accurate recommendations on restaurants and attractions. A diesel fuel stop is nearby. Overall a very pleasant stop just off I-90, but far enough away to be quiet. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Water pressure was around 50 psi according to my regulator. Wi-fi was unusable. No fenced dog run. Lady at the office was very knowledgeable about the local area and scenic drives in the area. Cable is an extra $2 a night. Site was l0ng enough for my 41' fifthwheel and longbed truck. Camp is an easy drive to Devil's Tower. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ate at Buffalo Jump Saloon in Beulah. It is WAY overpriced.

We have stayed here numerous times in recent years, My 8/13 review gives a detailed description of the park's sites, layout, and various facilities. As usual, we had a gravel but level, FHU, pull-through on the upper level. Most sites are a decent size, but larger rigs will have to disconnect. Many, but not all sites are satellite friendly. The office building is on the lower level and has the bathrooms, showers, and laundry (4 machines if I recall correctly). These facilities are older but clean and functional. There is a heated pool and playground equipment. As I noted in previous reviews, the sewers being at the entrance of the upper level, pull-through sites can be a problem for many RVs. For the first time we had a problem with their cable and their 802.11 connection. Most of the 60 cable channels were fuzzy to some degree and we were unable to connect to their internet at our site until about 10 P.M. Again this appears to be a "broadband hog" issue. They ask people not stream, Skype, etc., but the self-center jerks do it anyway. I saw no sign of any recycling. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We used this park as a base camp to tour Devils Tower National Monument and Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial Monuments. It was perfect for us. Sites were somewhat close together, but otherwise perfect. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice location if you are planning to go to Devil's Tower (just 1/2 hr away) and Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse (about 2 hours). We had stayed here 16 years ago and decided to stay again. Sites are level with pull thrus for the bigger rigs on the top level. Pool was not operational yet when we pulled in but they said it would be ready the next week. Bathroom/showers clean as was the rest of the campground. 3 available WiFi sites to choose from. Reservations suggested since campground was 2/3 to 3/4 full while we were there for 3 nights. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A well-maintained, clean, and quiet RV park just off the freeway on the east side of town. Big rigs can get in and out with care. There are tent sites and cabins here and the park is excellent. Beautiful view of Sundance Mountain. Town closes down early, and there are few restaurants. Full hook-ups and dog walking. No shade. Deer walk through. We spent 2 nights but would gladly go back for another visit. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Near Devils Tower national monument, which is a "must see." Spearfish SD and Sturgis are an easy drive and have all the shops and stores. The landscape is beautiful and back roads are wonderful to explore. Get all your supplies before coming to Sundance since the few stores all close early in the afternoons.

Great park. Owners/managers are fantastic -- very informative for area info, very helpful to all customers. Bathrooms, laundry room, entire park very clean and tidy. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Within 30 minutes of Devils Tower. Within 45 minutes to Sturgis. And only 90 minutes to Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park. Right off I-90 - NO trains, NO planes, NO highway noise.

We stayed overnight and it is convenient to the I-90, with a small truck stop at the exit. It is about 1 mile from the motorway, so road noise is not an issue. Check-in was easy and owners are really nice. Roads are gravel, wide and in good condition. Our site was in the top level and was long, wide and level. Services were well located and good quality. We had a great view over the top of the small town. Wi-Fi OK. A previous report questioned the exit being tight, well we couldn't disagree more. Our coach is 41' and overall length is 60' and we had no issues navigating the roads or leaving. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground with full facilities. Sites are located on a hill, but each site is level. We did not use the showers or laundry so cannot comment. We did have one problem due to the road layout. If you are towing on a dolly, you may need to take your car off in order to make the downhill turn to leave the park as it is very sharp. We realized this too late and ended up with a dent in the car, a broken light on the dolly and the car out of alignment on the dolly. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent campground about 30 minutes from Devils Tower - a must see if in the area. The owner is very helpful to mention places to see while in the area. The location is easy access to town of Sundance and the interstate but no noise. Grounds exceptionally clean and swimming pool looked inviting; although, I did not use while there. Bathroom was spotless. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
