Just spent one night but nice park. We have a 36' motorhome which is about as big as you can get into the park. When we arrived they did lead us to our space and helped guide us in. That was nice and probably needed in that they ended up cutting a few tree branches to get us into our spot. Office staff were very nice and friendly. Gave us some good ideas on things to see. Used the laundry and it was clean and nice. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly management in this small campground. Park lacks shade around the perimeter and lots are gravel with no grass. Park has very high water pressure so you'll need a regulator. There are few pull through sites for larger rigs (45 ft.) Although the park is near the roadway, it is quiet at night. WiFi service is fair. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

The only good thing about this campground is the fast internet and free cable TV. Sites are very VERY tight. When I walked out my RV door, I had to step around my neighbors water, sewer and electrical connections! and my neighbor had to step over my connections! The sites are jammed together with the maximum number of RVs that can fit on this small parcel of land. Certainly one of the most overpriced camping spots we have ever had with no privacy. My wife said she actually felt claustrophobic because the spaces were so close together. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We were fooled to think that the Black Bear Cafe was the same as the Black Bear Diners we loved from other towns. NOT SO. The food quality was poor.

Very friendly and caring. No vacancies. Then, I got a call back; they had been able to move reservations around to also fit us in. Very busy park in June. It was very convenient getting propane prior to leaving the park. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Definitely check out the state park. Most people come for the hot spring pools. Neat little town which we enjoyed exploring. The dinosaur museum is excellent.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Electric was steady, water pressure was low at 35 PSI. Very tight parking spaces, way too close, way overpriced. Park is on a busy highway. The neighbor's sewer hose connected under the picnic table for our site. No room to put up a chair to sit out; couldn't use picnic table because of sewer hose. No parking at the site unless you want to be in the road, we were told to park beside our unit, car being in the roadway. Neighbor had it worse; he had to park his toad by the playground, out of sight of his unit. The gentleman who parked us was friendly enough, told us to park and set up then go check in but check-in was handled by a young man who could not have been less interested. No enthusiasm for the town or suggestions on what to see or do. These spaces are so close it is ridiculous. If this park limited itself to 32 feet and under, it would probably be OK, but they are not big rig friendly; turns are tight and roads are narrow. The morning we left our neighbor informed us he would not be disconnecting or moving his truck which was parked in the road. We had to back out of a pull-through space to leave. There are a couple of good size spaces, but these are apparently for locals and repeat business, not overnight or those staying a couple of days. When I made the reservation, I specially asked not to be near the playground. We were given the space closest to a very busy playground. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it, especially for bigger rigs. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an old KOA campground with old infrastructure. It is very close to maneuver & parking a tow can be an issue. However, the owners were very accommodating. We arrived without reservations; some shifting around occurred so we could be accommodated. The site we were told to go into was an extremely tight squeeze but we managed. Trying to park our tow was initially problematic. However, we were later notified that we had been given the incorrect site # & could over over 1 slot, if we wished. We elected to stay where we initially set up but were given the adjacent site for our tow parking. The owners made every effort to make our stay satisfactory We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is a little cramp when it is full. Some RVs were sticking out into the roads although our 36 ft 5th wheel fit in fine. The service provided was fantastic. When we pulled in, they met us at our truck and guided us to our site. Told us we could check in later after we were set up. They have wi-fi figured out - they block streaming sites so no one hogs the bandwidth. But this also caused an issue for us since we use comcast for email. So, they went and added the site to the whitelist so we could get email while there. That is customer service !!! We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Use the state park hot springs for free for 20 minute soaks. You can return every two hours. Worked out good for the arrival day and then we paid for a full day pass at one of the private owned places. I ate some strange chicken concoction at Las Fuentes. Never heard the dish before, but it was very tasty. You will know what I am talking about when you see it on the menu.

This is a small rv park, but we had no trouble with our 30 ft fifth wheel. The owner and staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The owner even cut a piece of wood for us to help fix our camper. The park is moments from the three hot springs in town (one is free!), a fantastic dinosaur museum, and a fun white water rafting outfit. Wi-Fi, TV, and cell worked fine. I would highly recommend this park. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in Thermopolis for three days. The campground has lots of trees and shade, and is a little bit tight for a larger unit. Satellite would work on some of the sites, but the park has an adequate cable service with cable box integrated onto the electrical pedestal. Power was good and the pedestal was well located at the rear of the space. Sewer access on this site was slightly below ground level, and need some maintenance.

This is the best available park in Thermopolis, and is a fair value. Seasonal sites are available. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Decent supermarkets. Fuel is a bit expensive. Restaurant selection is ok. Las Fuentes, Mexican restaurant downtown, is excellent. Hot Springs State Park is the big draw and has mineral pools and decent facilities. There is good fishing available close to and in town either ala carte or guided. The town is clean, small, and easy to get around in.

This is a very old and well established RV Park. The campsites are very close together, have very large trees next to them, are gravel, and are not very friendly to the large RVs to navigate in the park. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Although Thermopolis is not a very big town, there are quite a few things to see, do, and enjoy. In example, there is a dinosaur museum (a tour to the dig site is possible) hot springs, and petroglyphs to name a few.

Upon arrival the owner had his son show us to our site and said to come back into the office to pay once we were set up. We went back to the office to pay for our site, and he gave us all the information about seeing the sights in and around town.

Our site had a parking spot for our tow vehicle. Even though we had a pull through site, we did have to back out of it due to other vehicles parked at the cabins. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an older campground that tries to squeeze in as many sites as possible. According to the manager, our site can accommodate a 40 - 45 foot RV. Our rig is approximately 32 feet and just fit into the site without sticking out on the road. We had to park our truck elseware. We had to ask our neighbors to move their vehicles so we can leave in the morning.

All of the interior roads and sites were on packed gravel. There was very little space between the sites. The water and electrical box was on the appropriate side but located way in the back. All of the sites had 20/30/50 amp service and the voltage was OK - hovering around 119 volts.

The sites were reasonable leveled. All sites had a picnic table and fire pit. WiFi was available but we did not use it. Verizon air card and cell phone reception was good. The bathroom was clean and contained 3 showers. The laundry contained 3 washers ($1.75) and 3 dryers ($1.00 for 45 minutes).

This campground was filled during our stay and it was very, very tight. Vehicles were parked all over the place. We would probably avoid this campground but in my opinion it the best campground in Thermopolis.

Best bet for large rigs is to get a back-in site. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It will take about 30 minutes to get to Thermopolis, but well worth the beautiful drive. The campsite offered level pull through sites with full hookup, only 2 miles from "downtown". The onsite owner/manager and his son were friendly and helpful. Cable TV worked well. Like most sites, though wifi was advertised it was severely overtaxed and very slow unless you sat outside the office at midnight. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had to back out of our site to let a fifth wheel go into the spot in front of us. He had to pass through our site. Very tight, close spots. Utilities worked. Verizon worked. Satellite worked. Neighbors so close their cigarette smoke filled our MH. Dog area was a muddy lane back to a bunch of junk. Dumpsters were overflowing, traffic noise included cars racing down the road at 11 PM. Price was very high for what you got. Do not believe all the long termers were paying anywhere close to what we paid.

We had hoped to spend a few days in the area, left after one night. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.
