We made our reservations for Yellowstone too late so we didn't have any options. For $54 a night this place was NOT worth it. The sites are short and there is no room to maneuver. Everything needs a good mowing and nearly every timber was rotting and needed replacing. The roads were deplorable. No discounts apply (like senior discounts) like they do in the rest of the park. Stay anywhere else if you can. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Would not stay here again. The dirt roads are terrible and nothing is being done to correct them. While it is a great location if you need full hook-ups. Driving the dirt roads to get out of the CG is horrible. We were there almost two weeks and we saw no effort being made to fix the thousand of holes in the dirt roads. Can't understand that with what they charge per night there is not more that can be done to upgrade this CG. Verrry tight sites and just enough room for camper and vehicle. This would be a great CG if they would just complete some much needed upgrades. Also the Sewer connection is ridiculous. The connection is tooo high for campers. Check-in staff were great and should be commended. But CG needs upgrades for prices they charge. Some roads are paved but we were not lucky enough to get on those sites. We paid the same price as the paved but had to contend with rough dirt roads. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Full hookups were excellent. We were able to park 43ft. Motorhome with 3 slides and 2 cars on our end unit site! Loop road was dirt and muddy during rains, but it is what it is. Location and ambiance was perfect. Great to stay inside National Park! No wifi or cell or data signal in campground but we survived lol! Fishing Bridge Hotel and Fishing Bridge Lodge both had nice resraurants. RV service garage at Fishing Bridge too! East entrance from Cody not too steep or curvy. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tightest campground I've been in with our RV. You look out your window and stare into your neighbor's RV. Very difficult to get a 26' foot trailer, pickup truck and two lawn chairs onto the site. Roads are small and one-way, making it very difficult to back in and pull out. One section of the RV park has rutted dirt roads. Would not have wanted to be in that section, especially if it rained. Not an enjoyable place to stay. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

So much to see. Spent 6 days driving around. Shopping for food is not very good so buy before. Also packed our lunch as we were not always near anywhere when we were hungry. Went to Bridge Bay lodge for dinner. The Grizzly park at the west enterance if worth the visit. Also a latte coffee is there.

It's pretty crowded and the interior roads aren't in the best of shape. But it's the only true RV campground inside Yellowstone, so we tried not to complain too much. We spent so much time out and about that we really didn't even want to sit outside too much. There was a tiny bit of space that we could fit a couple of chairs, but definitely not much. That said, the sites were fairly level and our camper & truck fit just fine. I see it as paying for the convenience of being in the park with hook-ups. If you're trying to compare it to private campgrounds, you'll be disappointed. If you take it for what it is, it works just fine. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

For its location his campground is perfect! As a campground it isn't. Sites are tight, but your gone all day so when you get back you are inside. There was plenty of room to sit outside if you wish. Hookups were good except for the way to tall sewer hookup. You will need a water pressure regulator and they tell you that at check in. I had what they consider a 40ft site which I would challenge them to try it themselves. My TT is 35 feet and it barely fit. A 40 footer will not fit! So ask when you book. But for its placement inside Yellowstone it is the perfect campground with FHU's. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Worst campground we have ever been in- and the most expensive. Assumed this would be an excellent national park, to find out they're managed by a private company. RV lots are crammed together, no room to sit, no room to get awning out, no fires allowed. Site was full of mud and debris- hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Tow vehicle must be parked beside your trailer, and there is barely enough room for that! Yellowstone is so amazing, just do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Thanks to previous reviews, we knew what we were getting into, and the campground met those expectations. Loops ABCD have nice smooth paved roads, with uneven gravel sites. Loops EFG have uneven dirt roads with lots of potholes, but nice paved sites. Very strange! We had some trouble backing our 37' motorhome into our site (due to tree proximity) but eventually got it done. Our site was very unlevel so we needed to drive onto some leveling blocks before using our jacks. Our tow car barely fit next to the motorhome on our camping side, leaving no space for anything else. Our view out front was a nice stand of tall pine trees, but of course out the side windows was our neighbor's motorhome just a foot or two away. Given the size of the campground we had plenty of space to walk our dog, which was nice. We had no AT&T signal even with our booster. Verizon had good signal, but was completely unusable except for the most basic of functions (e.g. sending a text e-mail). The campground's location is great, which is obviously why we and others stayed there. We spent a week in West Yellowstone and did most of our sight-seeing from there, then stayed two nights in Fishing Bridge to catch a few of the eastern Yellowstone attractions. This plan worked well for us. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here before and likely will again simply because my rig is too long for the other parks. There are a number of paved loops that are in excellent condition however on each of my 4 trips here I landed on one of the gravel / dirt loops. It seemed as if some sort of oil was laid on on the loop...and then snow and rain turned it into a tar black mud that literally got every where. This impresses me as a typical government contract facility...charge as much as you can and provide the minimum. That said, the staff is superb. I had a series of one-day reservations that they were able to combine to keep me from moving every day...2nd year in a row they managed that miracle. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Sites are very close together and back-in only. They don't allow RV's over 40 feet and I am surprised that RV's over 30 feet fit in some of the spaces. Laundry facilities are clean and easy to use. They do not allow open fires except in your grills. Then they have to be placed either in your RV or tow vehicle. Can't be left outside do to wild animals that may venture into the campsite. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Fishing Bridge gets a bit of a bad rap from reviewers here, but I found it to be pretty nice. Yes, the sites are close together, but our 35-foot fifth wheel with 3 huge slides fit just fine. There is a buffer of trees between each loop, so it doesn't feel like a vast parking lot of RVs. It is similar to many commercial RV parks in terms of space. The location is great for exploring the Canyon area and West Thumb, and not that far from the geyser basins or Lamar Valley. Overall, it is a great option if you want hookups and don't mind paying the fee. The cost is the biggest downside to this park and we opted to stay a week, then move to Mammoth and Madison for the rest of our trip. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the only campground in Yellowstone with full hookups. Because of Bears in the area, they permit only hard sided units. There's just enough room for the trailer and tow vehicle. You're crammed in, but since it's Yellowstone, you don't spend a lot of time at your RV. We visited some of the other campgrounds, and determined we did the right thing by staying at Fishing Bridge. ,fPotholes are terrible. Really need to fix roads. Sites are mostly gravel and close together. Stayed in d-loop. There are paved sites in e, f, and g. No cable. Showers were clean and hot and provide hair dryers. Only showers in main building. Clean laundry but 2.75 a load. Staying here will save you about an hour of driving. Driving around the park is very winding and 20 miles will take about 40 minutes so it is definitely worth it to stay inside the park, both from a gas perspective and time. Ate at Lake Hotel and Old Faithful inn, both were average and were about 60 for 2. There are small grocery stores with very limited and expensive items. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed Mid May when there were not many people camping. Can't imagine the zoo it would be when full. When we arrived the site they sent us to did not have all the snow removed so we could not get into it. Went back down to office and asked if we could move to next site, which was cleaned of snow and they okayed it. Although there were better located parks we stayed here (and paid the price) for full hookups, knowing it would be cold and we would need heat. We heard snow was predicted the day we were to leave so we asked to extend our stay 2 days and were accommodated. Although the storm only dropped 6" of snow, the area lost water and power. We could not even buy gas for our towed vehicle to go for a ride. We were stuck at camp with no water or electricity - boondocking in the cold for over $50 a night! The next day, utilities were still out and when we asked about getting out out of the 2 days we had extended our stay we were told there were no plans to refund money even though we were not getting what we paid for. We decided to leave anyway so we could get warm. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
