Over priced campground, but what choices do you have if going South on the Cassier HWY. If I do it again I would keep going and dry camp. This place was dusty and the most we had to pay on our Alaska trip. It did have 50amp power. You had to go to the Laundry building if you wanted Internet.

We ate a the restaurant which again was overpriced and the food was not very good. They would not serve you water as they said they were doing there part to conserve such a natural resource, but would sell you a $2 bottle of water. Clearly just a way to increase your bill.

I would try not to stay here again. Dry Camp at a beautiful overlook and save the money. You will enjoy it better. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

I had a flat, level, gravel, pull through site. There was a picnic table. The site had 30 amp power and water. Our pull through site was about 80 feet long. There were trees on both sides of my site. A free dump station was available on the way out. There was no AT&T reception; there was no over the air radio or TV channels. There was cable with seven channels. The only place to get WI-FI was in the office. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here as our step off to the Cassier Highway. The campground is pretty open, but has nice trees and woods in the area where you can walk your dogs enjoy the air. Our site was plenty big enough and not too close to anyone. My only hesitation for this campground is that if you don't like being given tons of rules, beware. The person checking us in was not rude but firm about all the rules. In the long run, there was no issue. I'd recommend this place for an overnight stay. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nites on way to Alaska. Nice spacing between tree line. Water/electric only. Cable TV limited. No cell service. Laundry available. A few miles out of town to Watson city. Restaurant on premises just ok for us. Roads rough going in. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

For a campground with only 30 amp service and no sewer this wasn't a great place. The sewer dump station didn't have working water to flush the tanks. They offer cable but it is very limited so it's a good thing our satellite came in fairly well. A lot of people were using the RV wash, but the roads are dirt so as soon as they pulled out they were covered with dust again. We had to keep our windows closed even though it was very warm just to keep the dust out. The wi-fi was sporadic & so slow it was like using dial-up. We were told there are resident bears at the end of our row that stroll through the campground a couple of times a day. This is high desert and very dry so no fired are allowed. I think we'll try another campground on our way back through. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The good: a bit off the Alaska highway, so quieter. Treed. Sites are decent size.

The bad: interior roads in the park are in very poor shape, tons of potholes. And, absolutely no wifi unless you sit by the office. Ok for an overnighter, but I would stay at Downtown RV (where we stayed on the trip out to Alaska) over this one--because you then have walking distance access to Sign Forest, grocery, restaurants, Northern Lights. Here at Nugget City that isnt the case. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is okay for a night or two. You are off the grid with no cell phone, virtually no wifi, & no cable TV. Wifi is only available beside the office and very limited. You might be able to get satellite TV. Sites are relatively level, gravel, & Big Rig suitable at about 65' long. There's about 15' between sites. Laundry is expensive at $3 wash & $3 dry. Pay showers are available. There's an RV wash for 2 minutes at 2 Loonies. Campground sells fuel but for anything else, you'll need to trek to Watson Lake. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly person at check-in. WiFi extremely slow and only available at the office. Water and electric hookup, pull through sites long but not level. Sani Dump located along interior road to exit.

Off the Alaska Highway enough to reduce sound. Located 15 miles north of Watson Lake just past the junction with the Cassiar Highway. Diesel was $.20 US higher than Watson Lake. Restaurant very expensive. Proprietors are opportunistic. Would not stay at this location again. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overpriced for what you get. Restaurant too high, ate at the unit. WIFI almost non-existent and if you use it, they warn that if you violate their usage rules, you will be escorted from the park.

There is no cell services available and if only here for 1 night, no point in cable hookup. No trash cans either. Sign on property says you need to take your trash with you and dump in a roadside container. Shady sites are higher priced. Would not stay here again.

Better choices available which are closer to everything: grocery, eats, gas, the Northern Lights Center and the Sign Post Forest. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overpriced. Park was almost empty. There were 8 other sites with campers but we couldn't get a 50 amp pull through.

We were in a 43' pusher with 4 slides and couldn't put out an awning. Not sure why we didn't rate one of their huge pull through sites; it's not like anyone else was here.

When we pulled out, our road led right to the front gate; which was barricaded closed. We finally found an exit sign after cruising around for a bit. That was a little disconcerting.

$45 Canadian for 30 amps, unwatchable cable tv, and as others have stated, no wifi. The sewer connection seemed adequate. Luckily we just stayed one night on our way north.

Would not stay here again unless the price was about half. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Look for other options in the area.

You are miles from town and the fuel, food, restaurant, and other prices at their establishment are quite high.

Plan ahead if you stay here.

We stayed at this park on our first trip to Dawson City, YT from Alberta, Canada. We booked RV sites based on full service provisions. Baby Nugget was the only site out of 14 that didn't live up to their online brochure. We paid 51 Canadian for a full service site with WIFI. We got 30 Amp and bad water. There was Cable with 8 channels that we didn't bother hooking up. The site was rocky and a bit unlevel. There were no fires allowed. The entrance gate was locked at night but the exit was wide open. The WIFI advertised was available if you were standing right beside the office and did do the trick for emails. There was a sign in the laundry room that stated that if you get caught streaming video or using too much data you would be escorted out of the park. There was alot of potholes in the roads and you need to follow the 5 kph speed limit to keep the dust down. There is a restaurant, gift shop and gas station on site. The day I was here the advertised mechanic on duty was away. I asked the attendant about the walking trails in the area and he told me that he was not familiar with the area and couldn't offer me any help. I would never use this campground again. (We stayed at another Watson campground on the way back. It was far nicer and only 12 bucks Canadian. It came with free firewood and great swimming at the lake.) Septic Dump is avail for free in town. I hope this helps other people to avoid a bad choice. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on our return trip from Alaska, and honestly, I'm glad we missed it on the way in. However, if as we did, you plan to head down the Cassiar Hwy., it is the only convenient place to stop. As mentioned in another review, the overall appearance of the place is rather shabby. To be charitable, let's call it "a work in progress". Our gravel site was spacious and level. The water pressure was good, but the water tasted terrible! High iron content, I suspect. Tasted like a rusty pipe. The electric was fine. The power pedestals were practically new and actually had circuit breakers. Not true everywhere in the Yukon. As stated earlier, the WiFi was a joke. Parks who advertise WiFi should be required to state "limited WiFi" or some such qualifier in situations like this. Then again one must consider where you are. The affiliated restaurant was acceptable. Gasoline was "pay-at-the-pump" but was the most expensive we've seen anywhere. $4.02 per gallon. I doubt we'll stay here again. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Baby Nugget RV Park near Watson Lake

This is an EXCELLENT RV park for the Yukon. They have water at each site plus up to 50 amps of power. Sami-dump station and RV/car wash. Everything is gravel, but roads and sites are spacious and everything is numbered and signed very clearly. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The "Wolf It Down" cafe has delicious baked goods along with ribs, burgers and more. The gift shop in the same complex is truly unique with high-quality handmade jewelry and other items as well. Very enjoyable and perfect "last services" place before tackling the beautiful Cassiar Highway (Hwy 37).

Stayed 2 nights in a pull through site with a 40 ft motorhome and toad, site easily long enough. Water and electric good; they had 50 amp but we went with 30 since we were not running AC. Site level and shaded. Good restaurant on premises. Good cable TV. Wifi worked fine in buildings near office. Only 2 negatives are the distance from Watson Lake and complete lack of cell signal--had to drive a few miles back toward Watson Lake for it to work. Dump station and RV wash both well located and convenient. We will stay again. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.
