Another gravel parking lot with hookups. We had a back-in that required leveling. Noticed that big rigs in the pull-throughs looked a bit tight. All utilities worked fine. Cable TV had around 15 channels and they were clear. Wi-Fi was free for first 30 min. and worked okay, but was slow. Close to most of Watson Lake activities. For that reason would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

An average campground you find along the Alaska Highway. Just an overnight stop for us. Could not hookup to the Wi-Fi service, good OTA TV reception, clear sky for rooftop satellites. Office staff very nice. Was not a favorite stop of the pups; not a lot of room to walk. This is a gravel parking lot, with sites very close together. We we may try a different place next time. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Onsite BBQ restaurant under a tent, good ribs, park is right next to the Sign Post Forest. Northern Lights attraction across the street.

Basic gravel parking lot downtown Watson Lake. Good for one-nighter but wouldn't stay longer. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sign Forest within walking distance

Science Centre within walking distance and worth it!

This campground is essentially a parking lot. The sites are level gravel, some pull-through and some back-in and all very close together. The utilities worked well and the Wi-Fi was okay for the 30 minutes you get. After the 30 minutes you have to wait for at least an hour and then you might can log in again for another 30 minutes. The park is easy to get to and easy to get around in. We would stay here again for a short visit. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make a personal sign for the signpost forest and mount it on one of the newly erected posts. Wye park has live music on certain days of the week. Take your chair and enjoy the free music. Watson Lake fuel prices are cheaper than the next choices if heading to Alaska.

Positives: Location right in Watson Lake, convenient to Sign Post Forest, Northern Lights Centre, grocery store and gas station. 30-amp electric, cable TV and RV wash. Negatives: Basically a gravel parking lot; some trees around perimeter, and very little grass. Another RV was assigned the site next to ours; sites so tight that our slide-outs almost touched. Ridiculous, since there were plenty of empty sites - why not fill every other one? We won't be staying here again. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is simply a gravel lot with sites very close together. Owner was very helpful and pleasant. Good overnight stop where hookups are the most important issue. This park isn't pretty but its functional. I would not consider it a prime stop for a long term stay. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walk through the Sign forest just up the street.

Nothing but a gravel lot. Pull-throughs are very tight and they are still crowded in mid-August. Infrastructure works well. The owner is nice and will get you to the cheapest gas. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As another camper put it, this is a typical gravel parking lot campground. The spaces are tight and when we were there, our neighbor pulled in crooked and there was literally (we measured) 10 inches between our slide and theirs. We couldn't even put a chair beside our unit, although he had plenty of room on the other side of his. The owner is very nice and friendly, and easy to work with. Our spot was very close to the office and with our wifi booster, had perfect internet. Most activities are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this park for your stay. Convenience is a big plus! We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay - so convenient to everything - shopping, Sign Forest, Northern Lights Theater, restaurant - all within walking distance. Only one 50 amp site but they will let you request it. Full-hook-ups. Huge area to wash your RV. Cable TV. Free Wi-Fi that worked okay. The closer to the office, the better you get it. Have stayed here before and would stay again. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

It is a gravel parking lot but the wash rack has very good pressure for washing the RV and price is reasonable. Wi-Fi is weak. Spots are level and the park is close to shopping and the sign forest. Host was helpful and provided the name of best gas station in town and provided a discount card that was useful for reduction in fuel cost in a town further north on the Alaska Highway. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

First I called a reserved a back-in site for $36 and when we got there we were sardined into a pull thru site for $40 - could almost reach out and touch the neighbors. This is just a dusty gravel parking lot - our site was so un-level the tires on the driver side were off the ground. The only good thing was it was a block from the sign forest and across the street from the grocery store and a small city lake (infested with mosquitoes). Would find another park if possible. We camped in a 5th wheel. Spent a lot of time sharing horror stories of the trek to and from Alaska with the neighbors. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is your typical gravel parking lot park. Sites are tight together so lining up slides can be an issue. That said, you have to meet the owner! He is friendly, has you laughing, and is quick to point out where everything is in town. You can walk to the grocery store, the Northern Lights Centre, and the sign post forest from the park. WiFi was best on the porch so settle in and make new friends. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a Good Sam park with a very friendly owner and right now it is the only campground in Watson Lake. We stayed here in June and August. Both times we were assigned a pull thru 30 amp full hook up site. We were so close to our neighbors that our slides were just about touching. WiFi is available while sitting near the office. Did not use the bathhouse or laundry. Everything in town is just a short walk away from the campground. They advertise a free RV wash but their pressure washer is not free and is very expensive to use. The alternate free water connection was damaged and not useable. We filled our fresh water tank and used that to wash our RV and truck. . We would stay here again. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just a big gravel parking lot, but spaces are big. Poor wi-fi. The host is very friendly. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
